Say goodbye to any vacation, Fredi about to be making pies for years after this video. Guys like this are so easy to root for
This pizza man is fooked
Ahhh shit he better set up a bed in the back of the store.
No kidding, totally googled the distance to this joint. Planning on a road trip and this will be a stop. That pizza looked INCREDIBLE.
I LOVE YOU SPENCER
@@frederickpikovsky3586 calling first thing tomorrow. Michiganders been waitin for an above 8.0 for so long lmao
2023 Update: Fredi's pizza is jammed pack everyday. Truly a blessing for what Dave did for him that man has spent decades upon decades trying to perfect his craft and it truly paid off this man went from 6 days straight to 7 days straight and is humble as can be and welcomes everyone that walks through the door. Thank you Dave!
was there yesterday and it was packed. Insane the quality of the pizza was really worth the 2 hour drive one way and crossing a border lmfao
Did Freddi get help? He can't do everything himself. Can someone hire him a sou-pizza chef?
@@gkennedy2998 yes he did
ive heard good things but I didnt realize it was this good. I also take daves opinion with a grain of salt, i'll have to go give my own opinion and its only 30 miles from me
One bite, everyone knows that guy is a great person for helping autistic kids. That pizza looked super legit and delicious.
💯
yeah it did like for real! I believe that review score hands down - did you hear that crisp? Fuck I would go out of my way driving through to go there - bonus points for the dude being a fucking BOSS when it comes to living life for others. Cheers from Cape Cod, MA!

If ever there was a pizzeria owner that deserved to have his life changed by a One Bite pizza review, this is him. This is the best one I've seen for a long time.
Everyone passes by this pizza place but now there’s a sign that says sold out everyday
@@elchino9715 That’s great to hear. Even if he didn’t support a great cause, his entrepreneurial spirit and his dedication to making great pizza should earn him more business anyway.
i have 3 kids with Autism so i can really relate to this. Super glad this guy got his 15 mins of fame!
On god you can just tell that guys a great guy I hope beautiful things happen for him & his family real cool

Another update, impossible to get this pizza. He sells out in a matter of hours.

This is the backbone of America.
Not a real American at all. The average American is selfish and a slave to the dollar.
Calling this guy “an American” is offensive. He’s a true hero.
Man this one got me. As a father with an autistic son I can truly appreciate the work the Freddie is doing here. Thank you for all your doing. I stopped by this wholesome establishment, today. Fredi is a gentleman and a pizza scholar. The place was clicking. The vibe was family and friends. The pie was outstanding!
Hearing Dave say “the best pizza in Detroit, period” you can see how much that truly meant to Fredi. I’ve watched this review dozens of time, one of my favorites.
Just ate here last weekend and that 8.7 score might even be a tad low. This was the best pie I’ve ever had outside of NYC.
Visited this place today. 8.7 is a very fair score. Pizza is delicious. Fredi greeted or said goodbye and thanked nearly every person who came in. The place was quite busy and he opened 30 minutes early which was great. Only waited maybe 15 minutes for fresh pizza and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience.
“This guys a fuckin’ maestro!” -Most Sincere Quote Ever!!!
I've been watching pizza reviews forever and he fuckin meant that one!
And the "I've been waiting to hear that for years" was a real tearjerker. Also he dropped his pizza nuts on the table. Truly a master.
That one had me laughing! That was great

I just drove 4.5 hours one way for this pizza! 9 hour drive for pizza and it was worth it! IMHO, this is way better way better than any place in New Haven! I would make this drive again without even thinning twice about it! The sauce is great, the crust is great, the young lady taking my order was great and Fredi was great!

I just went yesterday! Fredi is the real deal! Pizza was great and what a nice, genuine guy! Love it!
If I ever find myself visiting Michigan (I’m a Washington DC native) I’m definitely making a trip to this place! How’s business for him currently? Lines wrapped around the building I hope?
My wife and I were just wondering if you were still at Fredi’s?
I’m just wondering if it’s still super packed all the time from this I’ve never heard of this place before and I’ve lived in the Detroit area my entire life
How was it? Awesome to hear hope you enjoyed man
Stopped after dropping my daughter at the airport. Place was jammed. Had to take a number just to place my order. Hour from walking in til getting my pizza. Great pizza. Be ready to wait. Fortunately I wasn’t in a hurry. Was not so busy after the lunch rush.
One guy and only one guy makin pizza, everybody knows he predicted lines outside of his shop
I love how he made the goulash joke to the people inside and they laughed so he made a mental note to make sure to do it for the video
Lmao
That could have easily been a 9.1, everyone knows the rules
true
I think he would have scored it a 9 but knew that he wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the demand if he did so he gave it an 8.7
Exactly what I said .. easy 9.1...prez's scores are all over the gaff
Probably didn't give it a 9+ because it wasn't from New York
It ain’t that good I live right down the street, definitely not the best in the Detroit area but an over all good pie and a lot of money goes to a good cause so I respect the rating
I honestly never thought I’d be crying over a fucking pizza review, and yet, here I am!
Fuckin same....LMAO
salt of the earth
yo it'll be ok I promise
You're not crying I'm crying! Wait....
I was there a couple days ago I thought it would die down a bit so I could get a pie to try. I was in line that was wrapped around the builder for at least an hour and a half. As soon as I got to the front of the line the server comes out as says there’s no more dough.
I’m upset I didn’t get to try any pizza, but thank you Dave. Thank you for giving these people business.
Fucking hell that's bad luck

@@smalltownplaya712 With his love for thin and crispy, I thought for sure he was going 8.7 or 8.8. with that 2nd one. That regular must be amazing! lol. Both looked great
I am cracking myself up so much. He said 8.7 and I SCREAMED “HOLY SHIT”. These pizza reviews man. I watch every day but I had no idea I was that emotionally invested.

I come back to this video every so often to feel good. I love the reaction of Dave and when he meets a genuine man and his ambitions for goodness, it somehow makes Dave shine because he knows how to showcase it with his platform and it humbled him at the same time.
I got there early, a few weeks ago and they let me right in. I grew up in NJ. Let me tell you, Fredi is the real deal! Easily, one of the top 5 pizzas I've ever had--and that includes NJ & NY pizza!
I had ordered a pie and it came early--about 10 minutes before my friends from out of town showed up. Fredi gave me a slice on the house as an appetizer! It was so good, we ordered ANOTHER pie and took away zero leftovers.
I'm in the process of getting my mail forwarded there.
I grew up in NJ too (and still here), and I'll admit this pizza looks so damn good!
The crunch tells me all i need to know! thats a 9.1 easy money
shocked it wasnt a 9.1 tbh that pizza looked so good.
I think Dave is slipping that's definitely a 9.2
maybe a 9.1 would shut down the business due to too much demand lol
Ya that crunch was real. Mushy wet pizza blows.
God bless that man for his charity work and huge heart!
"God Bless you, Brother" Parting words from a man that knows who he is.
...which until recently was simply known as "a man."
I drive truck. I used to park right next door to this place for years.. never once tried it... recently discovered it thanks to Dave.. I'm sad I deprived myself for years. But my heart probably thanks me!
Fredi is a great guy as well! Very friendly and appreciative. Speaks to nearly everyone that patronizes his establishment
"That's droppin' you're pizza nutz on the table" HAS TO BE one of the best quotes!!!!

Went to Fredi’s last month during my business trip. Risked missing my flight just so that I can try and it was arguably the best pizza I’ve ever had. Very thin, crispy, light layer of cheese and good tomato sauce. If there was a joint like this in San Jose, I’d hit it up once a week. Thanks Dave
I think so long as you got to try the pizza
You sounded contempt with missin your flight
This is probably the all around best pizza review, all time good guy Dave
9.1 was the real score everyone knows the rules. Tainted coke hurt Dave's taste buds.

I was thinking the same! 8.7 is low
Best pizza in the city and the guy does it all for charity? Just give him a damn 9!

@Bill Blaze its a Major League score that will change lives
When he bit into it and that crunch I audibly said “mmm” like I was fucking eating it.
Exactly my thought... mmm... that sounds really good.
When i hear the crunch from the non crust end, thats an auto 8 in my book.

Blue collar salt of the earth that. A great lunch stop whenever I’m in Melvindale. Very deserved rating!
Here now waiting on my husband to get our Fredi Pizza. We are from Dayton, Ohio (Fairborn/WPAFB) no one makes pizza like we have there. My favorite here in Metro Detroit, so far, is the Detroit style Special from B.C. Pizza in Lincoln Park. I'm patiently waiting for a thinner crust pizza that is good, we've yet to find it and we've been here for 6 years. Fredi's is packed. We got here around 11:48, it's now been an hour. Not complaining though, in these times with small biz being hit so hard by this stupid virus I'm glad to buy local even if it means waiting just to help the little guys. And I love that he helps with Autism.
This is now my favorite video of all time. It makes you laugh and want to cry at the same time. I'm giving the video from Dave a 9.75. Dave is Legit and honest and Fredi is indeed the man. Wow, Wow, Wow. Dave just changed Fredi's life.
Everything Fredi does, he does 100%! Dudes a hero!!
Got there today at 1030 am there was already people lining up! Drove 40 mins for this pizza! Fredi is the pizza man!
I'm on a plane tomorrow to see the Fredi "The Maestro".
I love this
So happy for guys like this who truly love what it is to make a kick ass pizza...he deserves to hear that and the love the comments have and still are giving him.
Fredi went to they back and cried because of Dave's review. Get ready Freadi! Your pizzeria is about to reach the sky. I wish you the best in your business and your charitable endeavor.
One incredible pizza, everyone knows thats better than an 8.7.
Easy 9.1
After doing soo many reviews,
I think he's getting too worried about the 9's.
That would have easily been a 9.1 a couple years ago.
At least a 9.3
Its good but Tomatoes is better (Dave really tanked that one). Its a low 8 and Tomatoes should be a mid 8.
Yea 9 has become his '10', so hitting nine is like best in universe
This is amazing. What he and his wife are doing is crazy. He's my role model. So inspired right now.
Quick update on this one, I live local, there is still typically a line out the door, EVERY.DAY.
this is the first review i watched a second time right after finishing the video. one of the best
This man both humbles and motivates me. A real, honest, hard working, good human. A fuckin hero, boys. I'm literally going to work twice as hard tomorrow because this man motivated me just by being himself. Good shit, Dave. Glad you found a real one who just so happens to me a master pizza maker. Let's goooooo ❤💪
It's reviews like this that'll make you love Dave. That guy's been working for years and he's got real recognition now. Keep up the good work.
The steam when he opens the box, the crunch of the first bite...I'm going to Michigan
"Oh my God, this guy's a fuckin maestro" lmao Dave was very excited to get that second pie. 😂
Dave you just absolutely changed that guys life, that’s what these videos are for! Keep doing your thing Brother
The thing I keep coming back for is all the legit good people Dave meets throughout all his content it’s good to see there’s so many people giving back! Editing to say Dave’s a legit good dude as well !
One business that doesn’t advertise, everybody knows that’s a business plan from Mars.
HAHAHAHAHA
Your right..It's funny and crazy..Place in Brooklyn like that Tottonos, when the old man was alive, hours wait, only opened Friday, Sat Sunday, and no sign in front, just green door and green frame windows and if you said complaints, you where banned.. (truth)..once he passed away and son in law took over, added sign and another shop in Manhattan, etc...it is still good but not close to the same, Dirty Difara's now "rated" best, but bar none old dude Totonno, had it down..i guess, if it works dont fix it.
He doesn’t need too
When you make a good product, word of mouth is all you need. Why waste money on advertising?
One guy who's name is Michael &spells it Mykal, everybody knows thats a move from from planet douchebag 😝
Fredi gets a righteous payback for producing a great product and being an ace human being.
My childhood friend lives in that little red house you can see across the street in one frame. I used to go to Freddi's and get a slice and then down to the 7-11 a few blocks over to get a Big Gulp. Seeing him get an 8.7 absolutely made my childhood vindicated!
Shane?
I was friends with his Dad, he had the pizza shop around the block from our house. Bonus nugget, my wife's family and Fredi's family lived down the street from each other. I would see father and son some nights working together when Dad was overwhelmed with business. I look at the pictures of Fredi today, I see his Dad from when I first met him. Great family. RIP Fred (dad)
Re-watching this again, no idea why this wouldn’t have been at least a 9.1 or 9.2. Dave needs to go back and give it a do over because anywhere else this would’ve been in the nines I feel like.
There is nothing I appreciate more than watching a small family business like this. I hope they make a lot of money after this.

that jacket is sick. i'd wear it all the time too
Everything about that pie looks perfect. The cheese to sauce to crust ratio is flawless. Just by the visuals without tasting it, it looks like an 8.7 if not higher.
This looks so fresh and clean to what he usually eats. Comes even close to Lucali's, visually at least. Hope Fredi keeps rockin it, it's just that great of a product.

I creep to the edge of my seat in these reviews as Dave's score becomes imminent. Thought we might hear an infamous 9 today. None the less, all those 6.7's, 7.1's, 7.4's are all worth it to see someone hit the big time. Let's GOOOO FREDI!
