Only problem I have with bottom sweepers is get dull easy after hooksets with sheepshead or from hooking through crab shells, I use the sheep sticker jigheads from bellaire jigs and they been money
I have some from Bellaire and I use them pretty interchangeably with bottom sweepers and found they work better over structure or rocks. Right now I’m loving the action from drop shot rigs on pillings.
The dropshot is the only rig I use for sheepshead! I've never tried the double hook though. I feel like you miss so many bites with any other rig, or jig. The toadfish convict rod with a dropshot and you will literally feel everything
I even tried a drop shot with a bottom sweeper on the end, it didn’t produce more fish. I got frustrated with all the missed fish that I decided to take a break from sheeps and focus on reds and trout again.
