Awesome video. I enjoy a couple weeks in the sputh every year and love the challenge of sheepshead. This video shows a lot of great intel for someone starting out
Awesome as always thanks for sharing all the ways to catch sheepshead hopefully someday I'll make it down to catch some as always stay safe and tight lines
Hey buddy how's you doing? Those was some nice looking sheepshead man & size too. Looks like you had a fun day out there. Take it easy buddy & be safe out there.
I love all 4 rigs, but I have 2 more I use at times too. I use a drop shot rig like bass fishing and with a palomar knot. The other one I use is a slip cork rig.
Up north we fish for a fish Tau Tog (Black Fish) we use all of the rigs that you use but our Black fish sweeper rig is slightly different. It holds the crab noticibly higher off the sand. Go to S&S John Skinner Porgy and Blackfish jigs to take a look. Love your videos
I have a Lynx which I know you like but how are you liking the auto pilot? I saw your video on it but curious if you are still enjoying it. Debating on adding it to arsenal.
So what would youbuse in heavy current? We have a tide differential of 8-9 ft here, so that current gets pretty strong. Also, what would you suggest using if you are fishing oyster beds (especially from shore)?

Awesome help! Thank you. What bridge is that? I’m from Enterprise, AL and I want to drive down and catch my first sheephead.
Thanks man I appreciate it! Just about any bridge or structure will have them in the fall through early spring down here.
Sight fishing is a great time
🙌

You need to come get on the boat with me Nate and do a commercial day at the island

Thanks for the video! Looking to get into Kayak fishing myself. What brand/model kayak do you use for saltwater?
I use the Old Town AP120
Man what type of hooks do you recommend and do they run with the bait or what I gotta look for to set the hook ?
Try the ol slip cork crappie rig
🙌
I use a slip cork. But whatever works for you. Thank you for the contact.
Nice!
What sort of bucket are you using for the fiddlers? Been using different containers and they are all leaving me wanting.
The best fiddler bucket I’ve found is a cricket cage
Based on your 4 examples, it seems like the studs are in the lower water column. Has that been your experience?
80 percent of the time I get them on the bottom but sometimes they’re just beneath the surface
Good ol fashion sheepsheadin
🙌 🙌
I have a Lynx which I know you like but how are you liking the auto pilot? I saw your video on it but curious if you are still enjoying it. Debating on adding it to arsenal.

So what would youbuse in heavy current? We have a tide differential of 8-9 ft here, so that current gets pretty strong. Also, what would you suggest using if you are fishing oyster beds (especially from shore)?
You’d probably have to go with a Carolina rig and step your weight up until you’re line can hold next to the piling.
I use slip bobber or split shot rig
Nice!
I am a novice, are the sheepshead inshore now? I fish in the perdido bay area
Yes the big ones just started moving in.
Great video! Never fished for sheepshead. Is there not an artificial choice for them?
Thanks brother! Yeah I use tiny vudoo shrimp and Cranka crabs. I’ll put a video out soon!
