This could either mean that Dex was cast apart from his lover because she killed him, or perhaps it is another clue to how he was killed. Perhaps he was dismembered after death, or before death, to better hide the body? But that's doubtful, it's probably the first option. -There's also another way he could have been killed - purposeful illness contraction, or basically germ warfare. The lyric "Y'know you weren't the one that got infected / you built immunity to your own poison" lends itself to the theory that somehow, the killer was able to build an immunity to some kind of deadly disease, and then purposefully caught it so she could expose him to it. So I guess Last of Me is about someone who does something bad or is hurt by someone and has to leave their old self behind (You can keep the last of me/I don't care, I am obsolete) because in order to move on with their life they need to be 'reborn', making their old self nothing to them. However, this song is about a fear of their past emotions (hatred, injustice, need for revenge - the theme from Karma) coming back to them, because they didn't actually deal with them the first time. They are unable to bury their past entirely, and it comes back to bite them either because they did something they regret or someone else hurt them and they still want to get back at them for it. The way the lyrics are in the beginning about being immune to one's own poison make me think that this is less about someone's past coming back to bite them, though, and more about trying to move on vs a core need to actually get closure (in this case, getting revenge = killing the other person). That's just my thoughts, though.
My theory/interpretation of this song is that Dex is dead, and it's Lukas fault. Let me explain; Dex says that "You knew you weren't the one who got infected," this means that there was a infection going around in this song. Then, later he sings "Filling up my lungs, I'm six feet under, cast asunder," and "Fill your chest, just how you filled mine," which is a nod to saying that Dex got infected and is dead. Later, Luka enters the picture. While we know that Dex's death is 'someone's' fault-- because of the line(s), "I'm your dark, edgy disgrace," and "Now I've just begun your pity party, can't start without me, so here we are"-- and that someone seems to be Luka, as she make an appearance in this and 'replies' with, "steal the breath from my lips." tl;dr, Luka seemed to have created the infection, making Dex angry--

K so what I got out of this was that Zombie badass Dex came back to life to kill one of the female vocaloid after they killed him, presumably by drowning or suffocation “fill your lungs just like how you filled mine.” Yeet my dudes, yeet indeed.

Dude, Circus, ok like,, I've been subscribed since around circus monster (though on many different accounts ahah) and You've always been one of my favorite vocaloid producers but like??? holy shit this is reaching new heights? This is probably my favorite vocaloid song in the past couple of months only along with Sand Planet. The vocals are really really clear (Even for Dex), the instrumental is powerful on its own, and every thing fits so well together!! I'm just super heckkin impressed man.

Circus, wow. It's weird to say this, but, it feels like a whole new style featured here... It's difficult to explain, but, obviously you've not used the 1/4th note chorus style you used, but the overall song feels different to most of your older songs... I think it's potentially the more vocal focused aspect, and any instrument solos feel less busy... Regardless, it feels like more of a style shift than Deja Vu was, which.. you may disagree with.. but yeah.. whoa.. this is good.. From a production standpoint it potentially feels even more professional/industry standard than your other songs, somehow(?)

So I guess Last of Me is about someone who does something bad or is hurt by someone and has to leave their old self behind (You can keep the last of me/I don't care, I am obsolete) because in order to move on with their life they need to be 'reborn', making their old self nothing to them. However, this song is about a fear of their past emotions (hatred, injustice, need for revenge - the theme from Karma) coming back to them, because they didn't actually deal with them the first time. They are unable to bury their past entirely, and it comes back to bite them either because they did something they regret or someone else hurt them and they still want to get back at them for it. The way the lyrics are in the beginning about being immune to one's own poison make me think that this is less about someone's past coming back to bite them, though, and more about trying to move on vs a core need to actually get closure (in this case, getting revenge = killing the other person). That's just my thoughts, though.

My theory/interpretation of this song is that Dex is dead, and it's Lukas fault. Let me explain; Dex says that "You knew you weren't the one who got infected," this means that there was a infection going around in this song. Then, later he sings "Filling up my lungs, I'm six feet under, cast asunder," and "Fill your chest, just how you filled mine," which is a nod to saying that Dex got infected and is dead. Later, Luka enters the picture. While we know that Dex's death is 'someone's' fault-- because of the line(s), "I'm your dark, edgy disgrace," and "Now I've just begun your pity party, can't start without me, so here we are"-- and that someone seems to be Luka, as she make an appearance in this and 'replies' with, "steal the breath from my lips."
tl;dr, Luka seemed to have created the infection, making Dex angry--

K so what I got out of this was that Zombie badass Dex came back to life to kill one of the female vocaloid after they killed him, presumably by drowning or suffocation “fill your lungs just like how you filled mine.” Yeet my dudes, yeet indeed.
worthlessVoid i take it as this is an abuser who has come back to taunt their victim, all the death imagery is to show how he "rose from the dead" ie came back out of no where. The gas mask symbolizes how he survived all the "fire" the victim started (all the songs about the abuser)

Well in Last of me there was a few times where Goodbye popped up in the back ground and another song (Most likely from Vocacircus) in this one Last of me, Goodbye, and that other song popped up. Its telling a story but I think we don't have all the pieces yet.
Besides from Goodbye and last of me i saw a line from emotionless at 3:13 (but in red which I think is weird)but after that it appeared in green but just for half a second or so... and at 3:26 is it in green too

Dude, Circus, ok like,, I've been subscribed since around circus monster (though on many different accounts ahah) and You've always been one of my favorite vocaloid producers but like??? holy shit this is reaching new heights? This is probably my favorite vocaloid song in the past couple of months only along with Sand Planet. The vocals are really really clear (Even for Dex), the instrumental is powerful on its own, and every thing fits so well together!! I'm just super heckkin impressed man.
Hilariously (ironically? Idk) this song kinda helps me with my panic attacks. I time my breaths with the lines in the verses. Yay for unexpected uses for songs.

Circus, wow. It's weird to say this, but, it feels like a whole new style featured here...
It's difficult to explain, but, obviously you've not used the 1/4th note chorus style you used, but the overall song feels different to most of your older songs... I think it's potentially the more vocal focused aspect, and any instrument solos feel less busy...
Regardless, it feels like more of a style shift than Deja Vu was, which.. you may disagree with..
but yeah.. whoa.. this is good.. From a production standpoint it potentially feels even more professional/industry standard than your other songs, somehow(?)
