My experience is that most people would rather continue to suffer being fat, tired, sick and depressed than change their lifestyle (including myself). I thought I couldn't live without beer, bread and pasta. Spoiler alert: I could. And I can. Will never go back, unless everything else makes me sick. Don't hold my breath, though. Love to be a carnivore. /63yo male/

I started off keto determined to go all in a few weeks later, however, oxalate dumping hit me hard. My heart played up, I had heart palpitations and more despite taking minerals, so I was really glad I had stumbled across Sally Norton and could explain what was going on. Do not underestimate this issue! I am still determined to become a carnivore, but I have to take the transition at a slower pace. Watch out if your diet used to be heavy in quinoa, sweet potatoes, spinach and the like. You might struggle as well.

I have found that my lady friends and coworkers get very uncomfortable when I decline the fresh baked cookies or donuts. They will cheer me on if I slip and eat a sweet item and they witness the behavior😮

I hope no one is offended by this a statement I am going to make. I love all the doctors and other persons promoting carnivore, but I really like listening to women who struggle like me versus men. Men can’t have a prolapsed uterus from weight for example. TY so much!

Had RA for 31 years. 6 mos ago dxed with Chrons which caused Uveitis. When I heard Dr Lisa say on another podcast that she's seen Uveitis and dry eye go away on this diet I started on it. In 5 days the psoriasis on both my hands is almost completely cleared. My eyes are not as red today. I'm a sweets addict, but doing great. Never hungry. Terrible anxiety and depression greatly improved already, an answer to a 71 year old woman answered. Thank you both so much for getting the word out.

I tried "juice fasting" in 2016, and it put me in the hospital twice. I was sick off and on for two years. It wasn't until recently that I realized it was the concentration of fruits and vegetables that had made me sick. The doctors couldn't find what was causing my severe allergy and flu like symptoms. I currently don't eat any fruits, vegetables, carbs, or sugars. I feel great and have lots of energy. High fat no carb is definitely working for me.

Diabetes 2 and blood sugar levels were just high of normal range after 1 week. weight loss stabilized after 2 weeks at 5.5Kilo,s

I am more than over a year doing carnivore and from a certain point I did put stevia again in my coffee, but I got into troubles with that.
I will explain. Because your tongue sents the signal to the brains, that carbohydrates(sugars) are coming in, the brain sents a signal to the body to make more insuline.
Insuline levels are increasing in the blood, but there is no carbohydrates to be found, because you eat no carbohydrates at all.
The cells say no to the insuline, so the insuline stays in the blood until the next coffee with stevia and then the level of insuline is getting even higher and higher.
That is how you get hyperinsulimia and there are all kind of health issues that comes along with it. Chronical illnessess.
So I never take any sweetener again in my life, it tricks the body.
Now that I understand how it works, it is getting so clear to me.
    So I tell everybody !!!

I bought a Keto creamer thinking oh ok, this is great vs coffee mate. So my husband who never added it said, what is in there that’s sweet?” I said, “it’s zero sugar?”
Novice me then looked at the ingredients and there was stevia. Ugh
So I’ll either go black coffee or add some butter. Thanks for commenting it makes so much sense!

As a recovering addict and alcoholic, you are exactly right that quitting carbs is harder. I’m clean and sober for 11.5 years but I am struggling so hard to get on carnivore and stay there. I’m really hoping this time it will stick. I know I have to approach it the same way I did alcohol and remember that my life really does depend on it.
Thank you so much for this interview.

Yes, I agree with people don't realize it is an addiction. It's sad that people are being deceived into thinking it's ok. In my outlook, there are so many people look down on addicts that drink too much or do drugs or pornography or smoking what have you but abusing the body with toxic frankenfood is overlooked. Such a double standard. The body is a temple and we are only given one so do your best to respect it.

I hate being an addict, sugar, alcohol and junk food. I'm about to fast for as long as I can stand. Hit the master reset button on my brain and body. I'm so tired of being controlled by these things. I'm fasting for health and then I'll be doing animal based and hopefully transition into carnivore. I'm ready to take back control of my life!

Love both of you two! Great video and thanks for sharing it. I am a fairly disciplined person. I am an alcoholic which discipline alone cannot beat. Sorry, but alcoholism is much more difficult. Although, I would almost put it on the same level as sugar addiction. The difference is, the sugar can be beat in a week to a month to end cravings for sugar stuff. The craving for alcohol almost never goes away. I don't have to be around alcohol to lose my discipline and go buy a bottle. Here is the great news
. Since being carnivore, I have zero cravings for alcohol to "solve" my problems. Yet another "disease" which carnivore can cure. It is amazing. First, 2 years of white knuckling abstaining. Now 2 years carnivore and no more white knuckling. To me sugar consumption is more of a habit than a need (I am not discounting the difficulty of stopping the sugar addition). Change your habits for a while (the hard part), then later it is not part of your process. Don't need sugar even if I am around sugar stuff.

One norm that I wish would change is the use of the word “calorie” concerning dietary intake.
I propose using “DMI” (Dietary Mass Intake). It is relevant and accurate, whereas “colonic intake” means nothing, and only serves to diminish any point that it is used to explain.
Example: “I’ve dramatically decreased carbohydrates in my total DMI”. “My DMI consists of 1kg of fatty red meat and six eggs.”

It’s shocking to find out that doctors can be “bought” to promote statins to their patients even though it may not be in their best interest. 🤨 I was prescribed one but chose NOT to take it. And I’ve had a doctor say that I shouldn’t be getting my medical advice from UA-cam. 😊
