I lost my doctor because he wanted me to go on a statin and I didn't want to take a statin because of everything I've learned from people like you and Dr. Berry and others in the carnivore and keto community. He screamed at me and told me I could have a heart attack if I wanted to. He didn't fire me as a patient but I fired him because I didn't want someone to treat me that way.

@@wendydomino I'm so sorry you experienced that from your ignorant doctor. We deserve respect from our health care "professionals". 😔
Good on you for staying strong and prioritising your health over a doctor's income! 😍
It's been suggested that there is a link between statins and Alzheimers and Parkinsons.
My doctor mildly disapproves of my choices but she respects my autonomy and does not try to insist. She listens to my reasoning.
I really miss my previous doctor who was trained holistically and encouraged natural health above allopathic medicines! She has gone into the hospital in the mental health service to work. Blessing for them and loss for us. 😢😅

I was 330 lb in a mobile scooter as a result of abuse done to me when I was a child in a boarding school. I had to have a hip replacement and a knee replacement, they broke bones and left children with those broken bones often for weeks at a time. As a result necrosis or bone death occurs leading to years of pain and potentially lifetime disability.
I survived where most others did not. I became an attorney because I wanted to help protect others, I didn't want anyone to suffer what happened to me. I wanted to be a force for good, to have the ability to protect people.
I was determined not to live my life disabled. I found Dr Jason Fung, started to eat healthily. I lost a lot of weight. I am just over 180 lb, 5'4, female. I bike everyday on an exercise bike, I get between 15 to 20 miles. I am healthier than I have ever been but I still have some issues. I would like to lose an additional 20 lb but that's not the primary thing. There is still a lot of pain and I would like to get rid of as much of it as possible.
Today is day one of pure carnivore.
I have set myself a 30-Day challenge. Exclusively carnivore, not lion diet but close, and I will see what my labs are like and how I feel. If everything goes well I will extend it to 60 days and potentially beyond. I've read so many incredible testimonials from people whose lives have been changed as a result of eating this way.

You will drop weight like crazy on carnivore and inflammation will go wayyyy down. Keep in mind that you may have diarrhea and oxalate dumping in beginning while your body flushes out toxic sludge so Power through and you’ll never look back. Oh, and my mental health (panic attacks) improved greatly. No panic attacks and paranoia is mostly history and it’s not even been a full year yet. I suffered abuse too but not on your level. Love you and be well ❤

@@loriegosnell9355 I have been eating almost no vegetables for several months now, it was in preparation for this change. I would have a handful of seasonal berries or a few nuts but I haven't been eating spinach or other high in oxalate vegetables for a while. I would have some green beans which I'm not going to eat anymore.
There is one thing. I don't want to give up my morning coffee. I know, coffee is not carnivore it is a plant! But maybe one cup of coffee a day and everything else meat, butter, eggs with most of my calories coming from beef. I had an omelette with a few ounces of beef in it. At dinner time I plan to have a steak and that's it. Maybe a little butter on it because this steak is kind of lean.
I'm not sure if I can give up coffee quite yet. Please don't tell the carnivore police on me. I don't want to be scolded.

We have been conditioned to think that only politicians can solve our problems. Maybe at some point we'll wake up and recognise that it is our belief in politicians and authority which is the problem.

HI.. MAGGIE HERE.. I am aware that some factions want to regulate the beef industry in the States by demanding RFID tracking tags in every animal . Sad about that. The CFIA in Canada brought in an RFID tag regulation so that an animal cannot be sold alive without a tag or leave their place of birth .. It is another way of regulating our lives, costing money and causing more labour and problems for our ranches . Tag retention is a HUGE issue and these tags are over $3 each . Site infections and torn ears on baby calves is a problem . They say consumers want this type of identification .. BUNK !! NOT TRUE . and they say they can trace disease faster and more efficiently .. NOT TRUE .. the animals in an area where disease shows up, ARE THERE ALREADY .. Where the disease came from ..such as bird flu ..BIRDS BRING IT .. BSE?? BUNK AGAIN!! Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy is NOT a TSE .. and certainly NOT a zoonotic disease , proven by Dr Mark Purdy in the UK and the USA federal research done with cattle and roe deer in a1990s study in the mid west . BSE is a disease manifested by a lack of copper available to the mammalian brain causing convoluted and warped proteins in the brain .this is the same for humans in the rare case of C. Jacob's Disease .
Any mammal can suffer from a SE but it is not TRANSMISSABLE. THANKS FOR READING THIS TO THE END . IT IS VERY SAD WHEN THE SCIENTIFIC FACTS ARE AVAILABLE BUT ARE SUPPRESSED BECAUSE GOVERNMENTS HAVE JUMPED ON A BANDWAGON AND STARTED DEMANDING THAT PEOPLE AND ANIMALS BE UNDER STRICT REGULATIONS AND RULES AND LOCKDOWNS. AND THEY DONT WANT TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE . (SAME AS THEIR REACTION TO COVID 19 .) COUNTLESS ANIMALS WERE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT PROPER INVESTIGATION OR REASON AND WE ARE STILL SUFFERING IN THE CATTLE INDUSTRY FROM THIS CRIMINAL REACTION IN CANADA AND GREAT BRITAIN . Thanks to Dr Chaffee AGAIN FOR BRINGING THE TRUTH ABOUT the Carnivore Diet to the people who desperately need it .

    Hi Dr Chaffee,
I have been following you for a while now and really enjoy the benefits of the Carnivore Diet. Recently a few things started happening and I'm really worried... I am 46 years old and based in South Africa and i have been on the Carnivore Diet since the beginning of this year (2024) and i have to say that i have had great results. In all honesty i can say there was was a few times where i cheated (eating carbs/veggies, etc.), but that was when i was in the situation where i needed to eat what was available at that time and place. Those i can count on one hand. That would have been like one meal for that particular day then i would just continue with my Carnivore the next day... Since around a week ago i started experiencing this weird pressure feeling in the middle of my chest. When this happens i can confirm my heartbeat is out of rhythm for a few seconds. It's like an anxiety attack or something. This is a huge concern for me as i never had this before and never had any cardiac issues. I went to my GP yesterday and explained to her about my Carnivore Diet and the sudden chest and heart concerns. Her reaction seemed a little bias against my diet but i did not really pay attention to that. I do know that there is a new kind of flue virus doing the rounds and hopefully that's the cause... My GP only smiled(the look in her face that Carnivore is the cause...) and told me we will see after my blood results next week... I also have to do a stress EKG with my checkup. So this raised the following questions, and also consider i have no blood pressure issues/sugar/prior heart conditions as i annually did my checkups :
    1. Can the Carnivore Diet be the possible cause of heart failure/issues suddenly?
    2. Can you kindly explain what this diet should do to my cholesterol levels?
    3. What should my cholesterol levels be when I'm on the Carnivore Diet? When should i be concerned?
    4. Can my arteries be clogged because of all my fat intake?
I really hope to hear from you soon and that you will read this... Thank you and God bless
    Rudi Coetzee

Something in your diet is causing inflammation. Do you season with packets? That's a lot of plant. Do you get me already seasoned at the market? Just a few things I myself needed to change. Try for a week or more of plain red meat (unseasoned), eggs (bacon and others can be procured), salt and water. Raw fresh from store.
It may take a while if you had a high plant or processed food diet before. That all has to be cleaned out of us and it can take quite some time. Your body is possibly ridding itself of stored plant toxins and chemicals for preservatives.
Good luck. Find what is causing inflammation from diet and consider an increase in pain while stored toxic substances are exiting the body. 🙏❤️

Yes I agree that our bodies need good animal fat for a myriad of reasons and I'm moving into a carnivore diet myself,
    but....
Please tell people that they should slowly transition into eating more fatty meat gradually and introducing small amounts of fat in the beginning, because NOT all of us can handle the larger amounts of fat.
Some of us get gallbladder-liver issues and it's not fun at all !
A few days after starting carnivore I got severe pain in my upper right back, shoulder-neck area and it's referred pain from gallbladder which radiates through phrenic nerve.
I still have this debilitating pain for the past 10 days.
I've written about it in the comment section of all the carnivore diet youtube channels and NOT one of the experts has responded and no one addressed this issue in a video except Stephanie Keto and Dr Berg.
I wish more carnivore channels would speak about this problem.

I got the exact same issues as you got. I should add that they recently did an ultrasound on me. A gallstone moved up into the cystic duct after going carnivore and before long I had a gallbladder attack and pain in the liver. I'm soon meeting a surgeon and in all likelihood will have to have my gallbladder removed as the stuck stone is over a cm in diameter. My bile wasn't getting used in a long time as I was eating little to no fat. Once I introduced fat wasn't long before I started having issues. I figure that the stone that was already formed in the gallbladder got pushed up when the bile started to empty from the GB pouch. No mention of this happening when people who might have GB stones switching suddenly from a vegetarian diet to carnivore. BTW I wasn't aware that there was a stone in the GB until the bile started getting used when I introduced fat. Despite my situation I'm still eating carnivore but having discomfort at the site of my GB. Perhaps I shouldn't be eating a carnivore diet right now.

Dr Chaffee I can sense your sincerity. I started the carnivore diet on March 11. I am 73 and was 297 lbs then I started. I have not cheated but probably over did cheese in the beginning. Not crazy but about 24 oz in the first month mostly I am eating bacon, eggs, steak, ground beef, pork chops, chicken legs and thighs, fish once a week and sausages. I only drink water but have a cup of coffee once a week or tea. No sugar or carbs. I had a blood draw on 4/19. I was excited to see the results after being on the diet for over a month. I saw my doctor on 4/30 and had 110 for my blood sugar and 205 for cholesterol. Those reading were higher than my last draw one year earlier. My weight was 281. I hoped it would be lower. I told my Dr that I has started the carnivore diet and he thought the red might be the reason my cholesterol was elevated. He had me scheduled to see a dietitian and is going to have some test done to see if I have a fatty liver. So am I one of those that needs a different diet or I don’t know what?

I have listened to Dr. Chaffee, and other carnivore advocating doctors, and for the last 18 months, and followed this protocol. A few things happened: I lost 28 pounds, my eye floaters disappeared, my 7 stomach ulcers healed, my prostate (63 year old here) shrank, high energy with no more naps, my depression resolved itself and my inflammation was 90% reduced. I went off 7 meds as a result. However, last Friday, I had some mediocre chest pains with exertion and got it checked out. The result was a triple bypass surgery as three arteries were 90, 80 and 70 percent blocked. Long recovery now. Heart disease is rampant in my family so perhaps this was a forgone conclusion. Perhaps this protocol is not intended for heart patients. Not sure what to do now. They are pushing a plant-based diet now.

Carnivore 7 years. It got me out of a mobility chair, but issues are not 100% reversed. I’ve been 3.5 months carnivore with therapeutic fat and protein macros ala Dr. Boz. The equivalent of a stick of butter a day. No carbs. GKI 1 or below most of the time. Also I completed 5 weeks of 72 hour fasting a week. Ended up feeling sooo bad that I’m going to let up on the fat a bit. And ate some carbs.
My May challenge is to eat Lion with all grass raised cattle including the fat. Was able to order 1/8 cow and 15 lbs of fat. I did Lion last year for 6 weeks. Best I’ve felt ever. Then we went to Portland Maine and I had lots of butter and some lobster. Did not feel as good.
I do have uric acid in the 8-9 but it can be that high and my feet don’t hurt. Other times they hurt, especially with too much salt. Foot pain Doesn’t correlate with serum levels.

Since the body makes around 800 to 1,000 milliliters per day, how much maximum fat does that equal to for this bile to be able to process to be digested? (Since too much fat means if the bile can't process it, it will not be absorbed for most fat types)
Also, let's say a person has bile acid malabsorption so they eat an around 75% fat diet to be in ketosis, but their bile acid isn't being absorbed so the fat they consume isn't being absorbed so they get diarrhea for example, would it be correct that they should reduce their fat intake or the fat percentage or both (considering they're not drinking coffee or having any other non carnivore things causing the diarrhea and it's the Bile Acid Malabsorption to be the accepted reason for this result).
Also, does bile acid malabsorption eventually fade off if you continue on the carnivore diet on a high fat diet (enough to be in optimal ketosis values) or do you have to do something extra to treat the malabsorption. What is a possible treatment you can do, if possible, just with diet? Or would it have to be better through some kind of supplemental aid?
Or do you just accept you have BAM and then maybe treat it the way you would if you didn't have a gallbladder and change your meal sizes and times and frequencies?

I’m just about to hit 90 days on the carnivore diet. I noticed that my poop is increasing in size and frequency. Last month I was pooping only a little every 2-3 days. Should I be worried of the lack of absorption of nutrients?

Please talk about C15? Thomas Delaur had guest on recently selling very expensive supplement for it. She said their product is only way to get enough of it though milk n meat have small amounts. I bekiev you and Saladino would disagree with us having only her expensive supplement to get enough of that fatty acid. Alternative?

Dr Bright recommends 2 to 3 drops of the 5% lugol. So you'll need at least twice as much of 2% lugol

Be careful with iodine supplementation, not everybody needs it. The rule is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off to avoid overdosing. I overdid it and hyperthyroidism is no fun.

As he said, 2 grams of fat, 1 gram of protein. I wonder what meat provides that combination. All steaks have higher protein than fat. I always add tallow when frying my steak, but still, I feel i'm getting excessive protein that I don't need, which might explain why I'm not losing weight.

    • @downhill64

How are you measuring your macros, A 250 gram ribeye has around 60 grams of protein lot of weight in a steak is water content, not much water content in the fat, best for me is around 2 grams of protein per kg body weight, the ribeye that we buy is grass fed and so is a little lean so I add butter and sometimes heaps of it, im 68 years old but now very active now that all my joint pain has gone, am on strict carnivore, zero carbs and never ever cheat as I well remember how my life was before carnivore. Down to 10 percent body fat now and truly feel 15 years younger, keep going and make sure you are eating enough fat experiment a bit to see what works.

I thing he mixed up grams vs calories. From everything I've heard so far it should be 1 to 1 in grams. This is about 1 calorie from protein and 2 from fat.

I normally eat the fat from the steak, fallowed by a piece of fatty fish, then 2 cups or more of marrow with strawberries, and if i feel like it, maybe a cup or less of butter ... But I'm not gonna lie, the last two with a bit of honey ❤. Somehow this works for me.

I had a 5 bypass back in Nov. 2023 and am currently on 5 meds. I don't believe in all these toxic pills. I know Stations cause liver damage and really do nothing except damage. I've been doing Carnivore for about 6 weeks now and when I went to see my Dr. My blood pressure was a little high. When should I start seeing some difference and can I just stop taking the statin?

      1) Diarrhea is too much fat. Body doesn't need it, has plenty to do its job so rids of it so get loose stool.
Hard stool? Not enough fat. Eat up.
      Regular normal? Perfect amount.
      2) If the fat tastes good... eat.
If it's starting to lose all flavor. Cut back.

I made my own HCL pills to aid in digestion. Am I doing myself a disservice? How similar is this to Ox Bile? If I eat too much fat I’m in the restroom or nauseous. Too little, I’m a zombie lol

Bile is made by the liver and stored on the gall bladder for helping to dissolve fat. HCl in your stomach as stomach acid is a different part of the digestive process.
