Some live worse lives, appreciate yours, man's successful because he worked at it and was unique and self reflecting throughout his entire career and took accountability.

Those songs blew up because Big n Pac were the biggest names in rap at the time and obv im not saying that they were trash diss tracks.. Just not as 'special' as one would expect from the 'goats'
Like i said.. Most of the hype around those diss tracks is because of the names behind them, not the tracks itself.
No Vaseline and Hit Em Up were good imo, Ether was decent & Takeover too i guess (cant even remember it that well)
While with Em you have The Sauce, Nail In The Coffin, Canibitch, Bully, The Warning, Monkey See Monkey Doo, Girls, Go To Sleep, Hayley's Revenge, Killshot (i probably forgot some)
Most of these i would put over Ether and Takeover, maybe not over No Vaseline or Hit Em Up though. I know that the beefs werent against big rap names, but the diss tracks were better imo.

It actually got him on the secret service watchlist for the first time (He got on there again later 😂) and it was the first time a rapper has done that since NWA. They've only had 4 sets of artists to do that, NWA, YG and Nipsey Hussle for the song "FDT" and Eminem ( On the list twice Lol).

One of the best album opening songs of all time. The last album got a lot of heat so eminem was just like fuck it and went for it. He was trolling before it was popular to. The song has to be taken in the context that em especially early on wrote songs just to get the contreversy and headlines, it was a joke and sport for him. Not to mention the song is fucking bumps and is catchy as hell. Definitely one of his best songs.
