Philippines, I was 12 yrs old when i bought this tape and never knew what I was actually buying. Played loudly Mom heard it I got whooped so bad. 😂 Used headphones after that. I love this album and used to play it a lot back then without skipping any song or skit.
They say music can alter moods and talk to you Well can it load a gun up forward you and cock it too? Well the next time you assault a dude Just tell the judge it was my fault - and I'll get sued
This era was amazing because it was the first time anyone was saying this stuff it's why everyone wants "this" him back IMO he is back in everyway I'm here for! Totally a Stan😅🎉❤
I remember when HMV(music store in England) use to have stands with headphones and you could listen to new C D's that had just come out, me and my mates would stand there and rap out loud 😂😂😂 memories 😂😂
I was in 4th grade when I got this album from a friend of mine. This song as the opening track was such a trip, let me tell you. I was addicted right after that. Being from the Philippines, I barely understood what he was saying but I vibed so hard with it lol
“Texas Chainsaw, left his brains all, Danglin' from his neck, while his head barely hangs on.” One of my favorite Em schemes right here. Definitely top 100. 💀
ONE of mine is in “I’m Back” end of the second verse “ Geez, you guys are so sensitive "Slim it's a touchy subject, try and just don't mention it" Mind with no sense in it, fried to get schizophrenic whose Eyes get so squinted I'm blind from smokin' 'em with my windows tinted With nine limos rented, doin' lines of coke in 'em With a bunch of guys hoppin' out All high and indo scented
I like it when he says, “ i’m a criminal you goddamn right” I know every single word to this whole album I even know the next song after one song in‘s it’s crazy I must’ve listen to this album hundreds of times. Thanks for this reaction @Cliffbeats
3:56 the second tragedy was the Westside MIDDLE school shooting (occurred in March of 98, Columbine was April 99.) at some point in my abnormal psychology obsession, I dove into the history of such events. I believe this middle school shooting was the THIRD such in the school year, so from fall 97. It was the deadliest one (it’s different if one includes university shootings) until Columbine the next year. It STILL is the worst middle school shooting as of today. The 2 responsible were 13 and 11 (and since the maximum they could get was confinement until they turned 21, well, yeah. ) it was all a bit of a double whammy…I myself was in 7th grade when this happened. And when Columbine happened I was finishing 8th and going to HS soon. Now there’d been a horrible event in a middle school and again in a high school. The world felt like a very unsafe place (I’d also just moved to the US in 7th grade from Dubai when I’d lived most of my life after we left Argentina). I remember just how jarring everything was. So, yeah. The school shooting history is troubling (and is one of the reasons, I believe, that Em brings up how Columbine is getting all that attention because of its location. The majority of other events with STUDENTS as perpetrators where there were other students killed until ‘99, almost all have occurred in inner cities or metropolitan areas etc) Sorry for the random mini essay. (I just quickly glanced at the list Wikipedia has for all massacres of this sort, the ones perpetrated by students on other students and teachers goes decades back. Chilling.)
I love this album so much. I've listened to it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo many times. I know it back to front. I know if I'm trying to be objective it's not the greatest rap album of all time but it's my personal favorite of all time. It was such an important introduction to hip hop ( well technically the first rap song I ever heard was Nightmare On My Street by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince which is underrated asf by the way LOl ) and without Em and Dre I never would have discovered all the other legends in the game
Imagine dropping an album and the track "Kill you" is the opening track lolol Eminem caught hell for this album: -protests with placards in front of interscope offices -several lawsuits -threats of being banned from certain countries -congress hearing -and radio didn't play him🤣🤣🤣
Amazing how far back the Alfred Hitchcock references go.... "A blood stain's orange after you wash in the tub three or four times, but that's normal, ain't it, Norman?"
@@CliffBeatsOfficial I'm fine with Upchurch or Eminem Upchurch is my favorite rapper right now and Eminem is my favorite of all time so I'm just enjoying the reactions LOL
Eminem crazy that's why he goat on the highest level waiting for some more Eminem Throw Some Bone Thugs in there little Metallica some Ozzy Lil Wayne Pantera and I'm definitely here on this reaction great energy see you on the next one peace we will be here for it Eminem goat peace
Oh I’ll definitely be getting back on my Eminem journey. I’ve recently been trying to learn about UA-cam artists and artists across the world. But I have tons of Eminem to do!
It's odd looking back on how prophetic Em is. When he passes..he will take the world down with him. No one can touch him, even in 2021....and he wrote this in (roughly) 1999/2000...
This was his second CD this was the Marshall Mathers LP 1 so to say his bullshit give meter was low was an understatement at that point even though he hates the songs he wrote about his mom now but at the time he probably felt some type of way towards his mom
I would suggest no one still fuk with that man even though he does softer music nowadays don't think the Beast inside him is gone just cuz he don't bring it out without being provoked nowadays he went easy on MGK I'm he had another diss track ready to go had MGK replied back where he were to finish them and I'll suggest Snoop Dogg better watch himself and not bring out the Beast inside him or it will be over for him to someone is video Snoop Dogg saying there's only one person and Industry he would not want no problems with and that's that white boy talking about Eminem
I hope you know that i was joking about the girlfriend thing i kinda have an off sense of humor😂😅 anyways still love your channel started at the beginning ain likes and comments so🎉❤

That era of eminem cannot be beaten, simple as that. hes was on top the the world.
Agree. Everywhere you turned, there was Eminem or someone dressing/ looking just like him.
I know someone who beat that and every era of eminem with one album. Michael Jackson with Thriller
This song got me in trouble as a kid.

It might be The Marshall Mathers LP but this was pure Shady.

The paint the forest line is one of my favorite Eminem lines. 😂 I love that this album is just as controversial now as it was when it came out.
If not more so now because the world is in a much more sensitive place. This album is anti-lgbtq lmfao
😂😂😂😂😂😂 exactly
