The crazy thing is that the new iPad pro is thin and light enough to comfortably hold it with one hand. It really does feel magical that something so powerful could be so light.
As you mentioned, the bezels on the iPad serve a purpose. They make it easier to hold the iPad without risking accidental touches. For that reason alone, I don’t think Apple will ever shrink the iPad’s bezels to the size of modern smartphones. If they were going to, I believe they would have done it by now. They’ve already reduced the bezels on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and even the MacBook-adding a notch in the process! By the way, I felt the video ended a bit abruptly. I think you've done a great job by asking a question to engage viewers and adding a clickable link to a previous video, but the ending could feel smoother. If I were you, I would consider: - Asking viewers to leave a comment with their thoughts. - Thanking them for watching until the end and for their support. - Explicitly recommending one of your previous videos (maybe your first one, since it performed impressively well). Here’s how I’d approach it: - After your final question, say something like, “Make sure to share your thoughts in the comments below!” - Add a small beep or another sound cue to signal the start of the ending segment. - Show an outro screen with your animated character, plus a link to one of your previous videos. - Thank the audience out loud, and maybe add a personal note, like, “I’ve read all your comments and…” or mention upcoming plans for the channel (keeping it brief). - Close with something like, “If you enjoyed this video, you might want to check out my last video on…” Of course, this is just a suggestion, and you should adapt it to suit your style!
Wow! The improvement in quality since your first video just a week ago is incredible. Your first two videos were already great, but you've really leveled up. I love the redesign of your animated character-it looks so much more modern. Keep up the fantastic work!
Maybe you don't have experience using any of Samsung's "Ultra" tablets. They have a notch. But they also have 14 inch screens. On a phone that is a maximum 6 inches or so, a bezel to house the cameras eats into a bunch of that space, no matter how much you shrink it. But you're already familiar with how, over time, people all agreed that the notch seems to "disappear" during use and you don't notice it (not so much for the 5 inch iPhone Mini) On the tab Ultra, you are working with 14 inches of screen. And the notch on the tablet is smaller even than the one on the latest 6 inch iPhone. You have to go looking for it And this is why the notch is only on the biggest of the Samsung tablets. The 11 and 10 inch Galaxy tabs have uniform bezels
They could still slim down the bezels the to the size of the faceid unit on the iphones and carry that uniform border across the entire device. They will eventually though but not now otherwise theres less reason to upgrade we'll get there slowly.
As someone who's used an iPad, Samsung Tabs and under display technology, bezels are a super interesting topic (for me personally ofc). Jumping from the iPad to the Tab Ultra, the smaller bezels were noticeable and the notch wasn't as intrusive as I thought. Under display camera quality is absolute garbage, for sure, but as someone who never takes selfies I 1000% prefer the extra pixels - its just less intrusive Buuut ofc Apple will do things the Apple way. Their brand is based on quality so it makes sense why they've stayed true to the same formula for, what, 6 years now with their iPad lineup Fun fact: the side bezels on the home button iPads are actually SMALLER than the ones on the latest iPads. Considering iPads are used on portrait mode frequently it's interesting to know the side bezels used to be smaller. Ig they choose the uniform bezels over the 2 different sized ones for asthetic reasons but its still pretty cool to know :D
I think apple has the thick besels to keep the 'uniformity' of the bezels and to keep the brand image. They 2000% couldve made them thin but chose not to and instead increase them; maybe to keep the space for other components ,mabye to save on money since they make the screen smaller than the actual body of the device. I think its to not have a device that has the screen as the actual body size ,since they could fit more into the device with bezel space (youd be surprised, you could probably add another 1000 mah onto the battery with that space).
how can bezels be non intrusive, I literally can't watch content on notch devices... I had iphone 13 for years and couldn't watch videos unless they wouldn't go over the notch...
Dunno about the oled/lcd justification. But yeah, tablets need thicker bezels or they need to improve touch rejection when it is needed. I got a small tablet with thin side bezels, and it is hard to hold it without triggering something.
The fact you could properly grip the iPad without accidentally "selecting" something on the screen is why I really doubt Apple will reduce the bezel size on its iPad models. Especially the Face ID equipped iPad Pro models, since you could fit all the Face ID sensors inside the bezels.
They should leave the bezels as they are why change it if it already works me as a person who plays on a tab (same bezel size) its just nice having those
Apple could remove the bezels that make the iPhone so thin, but here’s the magic: they could use dynamic bezels that appear only when needed, adjusting for different apps. You’d have a full-screen display for videos and games, and bezels would appear when necessary for reading and other tasks.
In all fairness though, the iPhone's Dynamic Island height is only ~6mm, compared to the 7mm bezels of an iPad, so there isn't much of a difference, but it is a better difference nonetheless.
Because it's important that prevent to mistouch side screen, imagine that tablet android or ipad without bezel, feel like more annoying because mistouch or swiping screen on finger.
on the under display camera, can't they solve the blurry images issue with A.I? like the screen is always there, it's just a constant, just use A.I in the image processing pipeline to remove that constant and get a clear image. That would be a very useful way to use their A.I bs
production quality is good but it feels kinda artificial for some reason mayb its because of the audio i cant hear anything except ur voice mayb add some music a little louder
(I'm not a professional, this is just my opinion. also no hate towards the video creator) nah bro that's bullshit what do you mean "having uniform bezels even if they're thicker feels more natural and it's less distracting" I mean just look at the huge notch in the macbooks or the dynamic island in the iphones how would you consider the tab s10's small notch distracting but not consider the iphones' and the macbooks' notches not distracting? bruh 😂 Also, you talked about how the bezels are useful for because they prevent accidental touches when you hold your tablet with 2 hands Well that's were software optimizations come in It's basically the same as trackpads: how do they register normal touches but avoid registering accidental palm touches? that's why palm rejection exists so apple could develop a similar software to prevent accidental touches on ipads In general I just feel like there's a lot of inconsistency in the reasons you gave to explain why the ipad's bezels are so thick.
Honeslty I would prefer my ipad mini with a tiny little bit smaller bezels as they do look big and just a smaller cutout would still let the grip and the camera work without problem
The real question we should be asking is why IN THE HELL!!! has apple refused to put touch ID in new iphones? If there own Ipads have it inbuilt into the power button, and android has touch as ID why can't Iphones? I hate the argument "Touch ID is old get over it boomer" Because face ID isn't perfect, sometimes opening your phone by just pressing your figure on the power button as you grab to pick it up seamlessly opens the phone.
I call bull you can hold the iPad with 4 fingers in the back and one just on the side not on top of the display at all.. they just haven't stop giving them ideas not to innovate
You’re repeating yourself over and over and you talk like we’re stupid lol, seems like you’re yapping just to make the video longer. Take this as constructive feedback
Honestly my problem with the new iPads is the landscape camera location instead of the portrait camera location, so if I take a vertical front photo or vertical selfie, it just looks like it’s not centered, so I think Apple should make an iPad in the future should have two front cameras in the vertical and landscape locations.
The crazy thing is that the new iPad pro is thin and light enough to comfortably hold it with one hand. It really does feel magical that something so powerful could be so light.

Thanks for the ideas!
That is a full on review of the video 😮
They would have to add a notch or Dynamic Island to shrink the bezels, and apple will never do that
Samsung doesn't care about practicability, they did the same with curved displays on phone, thanks god they got rid of that.
@@alexandruciordas4941i actually had a Galaxy Ultra and loved the curved display, it felt like the screen is bigger.

i mean, full screen ipads could be a reality - bezel mode (turns some of the oled pixels off and restricts touch to that zone)

The M4 iPad Pro is actually OLED, so that LCD limitation doesn’t hold. Palm retention software also exists. They’re just saving money.
palm rejection*
Well Apple did implement palm rejection on their iPad. I believe it is active when you use the pencil.
Maybe you don't have experience using any of Samsung's "Ultra" tablets.

Underrated channel! ❤
Yoooo another new vid let's gooooo
Love ur vids man, can't wait to watch this one through till the end :)
I like it, gives me room to hold it.
Would love to see content that is focused around other categories such as computers, consoles and more.
My next video is actually going to be on the topic of consoles!
An actual good underrated tech channel ❤
One of my 3am thoughts 😂
Watching this video on my iPad Pro M2 and the first thing you mentioned is the most relatable one

This video is really put well and has good quality. 🎉 As a Matter of fact I’m holding on to my bezels on my iPad to watch this video!

If you use a case you don’t really need a thick bezel, your fingers can rest of edge of case naturally
Underrated
Just came across your channel and you earned a sub. I enjoy your approach to an “out of the box” idea
Simple, on point, practical
Great video! Subscribed!
Damn another banger keep it up
They can make the borders thin and turn off touch that is in the edges of the iPad!

Well the pro max can't be used with just a hand. You need to operate it with both of your hands, especially the latest version.
Great vid, you should talked about why almost no ones bought motorola phones nowdays on future vid ^^
its so there doesnt have to be like a notch or bulge out or smth we dont want that

They should have at least shrinked iPad mini screen bezel. It’s way too thick
Modern tech is not very ergonomic is it even with bezels, good thing kid’s cases exist!
How the fuck is this channel so new? Really good quality!

Now that’s a good explanation why the big bezels are needed on the iPad
Just came across your channel recently, but i’m loving the content! Keep it up man :)
Bro should get sponsors from apple.
But why can’t they make a little bit thinner? Cause the camera is not at the edge of the bezel
(I'm not a professional, this is just my opinion. also no hate towards the video creator)
nah bro that's bullshit
what do you mean "having uniform bezels even if they're thicker feels more natural and it's less distracting"
I mean just look at the huge notch in the macbooks
or the dynamic island in the iphones
how would you consider the tab s10's small notch distracting but not consider the iphones' and the macbooks' notches not distracting?
bruh 😂
Also, you talked about how the bezels are useful for because they prevent accidental touches when you hold your tablet with 2 hands
Well that's were software optimizations come in
It's basically the same as trackpads: how do they register normal touches but avoid registering accidental palm touches?
that's why palm rejection exists
so apple could develop a similar software to prevent accidental touches on ipads
In general I just feel like there's a lot of inconsistency in the reasons you gave to explain why the ipad's bezels are so thick.
I love big bezels
What a greta video you remind me of the rotten apple guy
the notchbook has the notch tho???
Just lazy, they can Disable edge touch when needed to prevent accidental touch, but you will get a full screen instead of a very thick frame.
Honeslty I would prefer my ipad mini with a tiny little bit smaller bezels as they do look big and just a smaller cutout would still let the grip and the camera work without problem
Its marketing. Just like the 60hz from thr iphone 16. They will hype it up for 17. Crazy this people never think
Umm who holds their ipad with their thumbs?… you just hold it with your fingers and press ur palms on the side…
it's thick of it
caution! apple fanboy detected!
the newer ipads bezels arent even that big
Bruh you can literally use a case on iPad if you don't want miss click but isheeps are different breed literally justifying apple every failure
thick of it
