Not all agencies accept online submission but the ones that do, have a "get discovered" or "Submit to representation" tab.
No, you don't have to add music but you can. I used copyright free music so youtube wouldn't delete it. Google "youtube audio library" to find free music 😊

Very, nice! Do you have to add the music for the company to the voiceovers is this what you wanted? How is your VoiceOver career going today? Thank you💚
Hi there! I use copyright free music to avoid any issues. If it is an audition, you would only send in your audition, no music. I have still need auditioning a lot but don't do very much VO. I mostly do on camera acting.
Here's the one I used now. 😊 I'll be updating it soon too. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015R0IQGW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=belgicapaol05-20&linkId=17befd3a49e446f738c161a4e88cce2f&language=en_US
Hey! 😊 I'm not an expert with VO. I mostly do on camera acting but for music, I just did non copyright (from UA-cam free library) and made sure my voice level was higher than the music.
Hello! I have a job I want to apply for, and I need to make a reel of monster sounds. What do you recommend I do? Do I just record myself making the noises and send it in, or is there more I need to do? Thanks!
Hi Ruby, the best thing to do in auditions is to follow the instructions exactly. If they are asking for just monster sounds, then just send them that. If they didn't say how long, I would send 3 clips that are each no longer than 10 seconds.
Mic If you are a beginner, I suggest using your phone and a closet with lots of clothes in it. Once you can, I like these as listed in the description amzn.to/2ONsydJ Update to what I use in 2020: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015R0IQGW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=belgicapaol05-20&linkId=17befd3a49e446f738c161a4e88cce2f&language=en_US
Hi Harvey, you can do it without experience but just like with any other career, if you have knowledge, training and experience, you will be a lot more successful.
Hi Izabella, I would highly suggest to Google a monologue that interests you, or choose one from a play/movie. 😊 You can write your own if you would like but unless you are an seasoned writer, it is best to find one that already exists.
I use an S9 android phone as my camera now 😊 back then I was using an iPhone 5 so it's prob not being sold anymore. Feel free to check out any latest video's description for the latest camera I'm using.
Hey! This was a while ago but I was just getting started in VO. I am still no expert as I mostly do on-camera acting. I suggest Laurie Burke here on YT! ua-cam.com/users/laurieburke
Do you have a more specific question I can answer? That is what the video is all about. :) Would love to do a follow up video with additional questions.
Hi there 😊 I didn't before this video as I was and honestly still am very new to VO. I do have a VO agent (have booked a few) and I finally am in a place where I can get VO training and am looking into it. I'll post a video on my experience with whatever VO classes I end up choosing 😊
It's impressive that you did that demo with a $70 mic...although if people actually wanna make a living off of VO, I'd say they need to invest at least a few hundred bucks in the mic, it being the most important part. An XLR mic with a decent audio interface and some rudimentary editing skills, since we're all stuck at home right now, we will have to edit everything. And given the situation, it's also best to put the demo together ourselves because if we get hired to do a gig, we'll have to at least bring the quality of the demo to the table, if not better.
Hi 😊 you would want to get some training and experience, develop a demo reel, resume and then you can contact agents with your work and see if they are interested in signing you. Many agencies have online submissions and will contact you back if they are interested.
Yes Thanks, I have extensive, training in..volce over and song , I dug your vid,. Don't forget ";when selling products, smile at the fruit.... Also Àudio ttapes are all that's needed and a good catchy.script...tnat is not clliché like an answering machine.....

Hi there, I would suggest making one on your own or ask around and see if anyone is looking to hire a VO actor for their short or commercial. Do you have a talent agent?
For voiceover, I am not sure as I mostly do on-camera acting. Using the industry standard websites and having an agent. I use Actors Access and Casting Networks mostly. But I a in California and your location has a lot to do with which one is right for you.
Hi Mike! I would love to show you the process of me learning. I do some voice acting but I have a lot to learn. Stay tuned! I will be making more voice over videos! 😁👍

I explained it in the video that this is for your very first one. 😊 That's why I used the linked mic but you can also use the memo app on your phone. I am trying to push myself and get over the fear. I've always been able to do voices and impressions I'm an aspiring animator and have my own characters and stories for the demo reel I can use. Besides characters, I can do animal noises like I can do a convincing puma scream and I also can sing. I've done only one voice over but it was many years ago and I never got a copy of the work. Help, lol.
Hi there 😊 I also recommend watching Laurie Burke here on YT as she does only VO work! She has a lot of great info.
Belgica Paola Rodriguez Ok, I’ll check out her channel too. Thanks Belgica. 😊
@@BelgicaPaola Thank you!💜
Thank you so much for sharing this!! Invaluable.
Thank you! 😊💜
and do you recommend booking an agent right when getting started ?
If you can get an agent while you are training that is great so you can get hands on learning.
You could but make sure the demo you have is the best it can be before contacting an agent...
So you still do auditions for on screen acting, correct?
Yes, I primarily do on camera acting. 😊
@@BelgicaPaola oh, so awesome! Thanks for responding!
I don't see the link to show which mic you used....
Here's the one I used now. 😊 I'll be updating it soon too. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015R0IQGW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=belgicapaol05-20&linkId=17befd3a49e446f738c161a4e88cce2f&language=en_US
do i have to write my own scripts, or can i use practice ones online
You can do both. I altered ones that I have heard before.
@@BelgicaPaola thank you
You didn't say anything about the background music aspect. This was definitely helpful though I wish you talked about the music too and gave some tips
Hey! 😊 I'm not an expert with VO. I mostly do on camera acting but for music, I just did non copyright (from UA-cam free library) and made sure my voice level was higher than the music.
@@BelgicaPaola Thank you!
Thinking about getting into voice over work ! Is there any microphone you recommend for beginners ?
Mic
If you are a beginner, I suggest using your phone and a closet with lots of clothes in it. Once you can, I like these
as listed in the description

I also just got new VO set up and I can link that too :)
@@BelgicaPaola Thanks!💜
This inspired me! Making my own Vo Reel soon.
Oh, yay! Pls send it to me, I'd love to hear it!
Hey I saw this video and I wanted to ask would it be a good idea to make a demo reel without any prior experience or not? I really want to know
Hi Harvey, you can do it without experience but just like with any other career, if you have knowledge, training and experience, you will be a lot more successful.
@@BelgicaPaola ok thank you!
Thanks for the insight, this was really helpful :)
Glad it was helpful!
Do I have to write my own piece for the audio or could I find something online to read from?
Hi Izabella, I would highly suggest to Google a monologue that interests you, or choose one from a play/movie. 😊 You can write your own if you would like but unless you are an seasoned writer, it is best to find one that already exists.
Okay, thank you so much for the help 🙏
Of course! Also, here is another resource ua-cam.com/video/f_mGRmU33LM/v-deo.html
Would I have to mention the person who wrote the monologue in the recording?
You don't have to if you don't want to. 😊
Do you find you are able to do well for yourself in the Bay Area? How is the acting scene there really?
Thank you.
Hi :) Here's a video I made when I was only acting in the Bay area. ua-cam.com/video/eyrcXq2_P8o/v-deo.html
The camera link is leading to light again.
I use an S9 android phone as my camera now 😊 back then I was using an iPhone 5 so it's prob not being sold anymore. Feel free to check out any latest video's description for the latest camera I'm using.
Why do you use 2 microphones?
Hey! This was a while ago but I was just getting started in VO. I am still no expert as I mostly do on-camera acting. I suggest Laurie Burke here on YT! ua-cam.com/users/laurieburke
How can I make demo first voice
Do you have a more specific question I can answer? That is what the video is all about. :) Would love to do a follow up video with additional questions.
Yes help me how to make demo voice on phone
Where do you send your demo to get jobs?
Hi 😊 I also mentioned it in the video but I use my agent as well as casting websites like backstage and SF/LA Casting Networks.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I want to buy my mic very soon!!
Hope you enjoy!
Hey did you have a coach before creating your demo?? and do you have an agent to help you get jobs ? Do you still have an agent if so?
Hi there 😊 I didn't before this video as I was and honestly still am very new to VO. I do have a VO agent (have booked a few) and I finally am in a place where I can get VO training and am looking into it. I'll post a video on my experience with whatever VO classes I end up choosing 😊
Thank you for this. Very helpful!!
Of course! I'm so happy you found this helpful! 😁
Yeah, this is just for your very FIRST VO reel. I would highly suggest hiring professionals and investing in it as it will get you jobs.
Belgica Paola Rodriguez After watching your voiceover samples, you sounded great on your inexpensive microphone.
Thanks 😊
This is very helpful!!! Thank you so much! Stay safe!
Thanks, you too!:)
My question might sound silly but... How can I get an agent?
Hi 😊 you would want to get some training and experience, develop a demo reel, resume and then you can contact agents with your work and see if they are interested in signing you. Many agencies have online submissions and will contact you back if they are interested.
@@BelgicaPaola thanks for taking the time to reply my message! And thanks for the advice 😉 I already suscribed to your channel.
Thanks! 😊
Love the new background!
Alex Richards Thanks!
Yes Thanks, I have extensive, training in..volce over and song , I dug your vid,. Don't forget ";when selling products, smile at the fruit.... Also Àudio ttapes are all that's needed and a good catchy.script...tnat is not clliché like an answering machine.....

how do you get paid for voice over jobs
Hi there! I mostly do on-camera acting and get VO jobs mostly through my agents.
How does one go about getting an agent?
Hi 😊 this is my experience in SF. I am currently looking for agents in LA and I'll be posting my experience. Let me know if you have any specific questions about the process after seeing that video. 👍
Thank you Belgica
Thank you for watching! 😊
My name is chancellor and I was wondering if you had any tips for me I aduation on the behind the voice actors and casting call club am trying to make a voice over demo reel and upload on my UA-cam channel
Hi there, I would suggest making one on your own or ask around and see if anyone is looking to hire a VO actor for their short or commercial. Do you have a talent agent?
No still looking around for a tlanet agent do you got a suggestion for me off where I can find one
It depends on where you live. Do you live near or in a large city?
@@BelgicaPaola no I live in Greensboro NC
good stuff! thanks!!!
Thank you! Let me know if you end up making your reel. 😁
I also have got some charcthers voices
Here is a project I was in

That's great!
Thanks for sharing!
So how the heck did you get your first few voice over jobs? Without having a demo reell?
I auditioned through my agency.
On mobile
Same as I described but with your memo/voice app.
How do I avoid scam websites
For voiceover, I am not sure as I mostly do on-camera acting. Using the industry standard websites and having an agent. I use Actors Access and Casting Networks mostly. But I a in California and your location has a lot to do with which one is right for you.
Can you teach
me to be a voice actor
Hi Mike! I would love to show you the process of me learning. I do some voice acting but I have a lot to learn. Stay tuned! I will be making more voice over videos! 😁👍
Thanks and I will
Hi I'm trying to get into voice acting. I was wondering if you could coach me
Hi Cam, I don't have much training myself but I would love to share more on VO and other great training resources!
@@BelgicaPaola yeah that would be great. Thank you
If you and your boyfriend came out the closet at the same time did you at least stay friends?
For a second was like, huh? And then I realized that you're talking about me filming in the closet. Lol
didnt help at all.. you talked about your story and not about how you can do a voice over reel at all...you did say you needed to do voice over reel tho...and.. how.. ..... *crickets*
Thanks for your input, Merry Christmas 🎄🤗
@@BelgicaPaola I was looking more for how to make the website, did you just record and send? How did you store it..what programs? I mean yea anyone can record and send, how? what mics? just an expensive one? No one you recommend? "Thanks for my input"... im not a hater if thats what you're thinking.
I explained it in the video that this is for your very first one. 😊 That's why I used the linked mic but you can also use the memo app on your phone. I've only done a few professional jobs and this is how I was cast. By using the items I just mentioned. I would suggest looking at Laurie Burke's channel. She has been on the VO business for a very long time and loves to share how you can have a professional setup as well as provides lessons for around $150/hr if I recall correctly.
I'm not sure but ,if anyone else wants to learn about disney voice overs try Ailyahwan Easy Dominator (search on google ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.
I would love to take a look! Thanks, I will check it out.
This Ailyahwan Easy bullshit is precisely what it is!!!! Just BS!!! Ir has NOTHING to do with Disney voice over my ass!!!!It’s basically a page from click bank!!!!!
There are MANY people here on UA-cam phishing people into their bogus bullshit!!!!
Kike Mendoza what you just posted is a scam!!!!!
too much talk..
🤔
I am trying to push myself and get over the fear. I've always been able to do voices and impressions I'm an aspiring animator and have my own characters and stories for the demo reel I can use.
Besides characters, I can do animal noises like I can do a convincing puma scream and I also can sing. I think if a person can sing fairly well, they can voice act, because voice acting requires hitting different ranges and pitches.
👌🏼💜
Thank you for the video Belgica! From one Latina to another. 😁💜
That's great! I suggest looking into training and that will help with bookings and being able to hone your talents even more. 😊👍☀️
Thank you!🙏💙
You are so welcome!
