  • Mulegé is a lovely small Mexican town with interesting history and a whole lot of charm. We camped at Huerta Don Chano, a quaint campground next to the Santa Rosalía River. Huerta means orchard and each campsite is surrounded by lush tropical plants and fruit trees. We fell in love with the friendly staff at the restaraunt onsite, and we're able to get some much needed errands done in town.
    As always thanks for watching, don't forget to like and subscribe for more Baja California adventures as we make our way down to La Paz and back!

    Fantastic exploration of Mulegé. My son and I rode our motorcycles down there last December. There is a way to get cash in the town. You go to the grocery store and they will ask you to put your pin in...then they will give you the cash you need. For next time...There was not a bank...but the locals have a workaround!!

    Hi guys! After bumping into you at Papa Fernandez (white Sprinter w/tilting solar) we traveled to Mulage and ended up at the same Don Chanos RV site (accidentally) and I think even the same campsite you had. Your video description of the staff, food & town is spot-on accurate! Safe travels and hope our paths cross again sometime!

      Huerto Don Chano is a gem of a rv park. The sweetest property and staff with a great restaurant. We absolutely love Mulege and even considered looking at properties for sale!

      It's a great park, but larger rigs will have a hard time getting through town and under a particular tree branch over the road. There's another couple of decent parks along the highway across the river from this one, though.

      Nice! We love our 4Runner. We went with Baja Bound Insurance for both the SUV and camper after pricing out a couple other options👍🏽

      We would love to (and plan to) live in Baja California Sur and have even considered Mulege, which is a lovely town and community. If I were you I would check out some “world school” groups on Facebook - families living in different places including Baja and sharing their experiences. But yeah, we hear ya - a simple life is where it’s at.

    Hi. Liked the video. Regarding money, I use Remitly on my phone and home computer. You can send someone money or YOURSELF. Put in the same FULL name as on your passport. It costs $4 for a transfer. Transfers of $500 or more are FREE. Even with the $4 cost, you can still do better than a local money changer (cambio). Like $200, ok it costs you about 80 pesos but you'll get about 800 pesos more than the local guys give you. You have the choice of getting the cash at many markets and stores like Sorianna, OXXO, many banks, Walmart...... Plan it out and get your pesos at the big towns. Of course you can't get more than 5000 pesos at OXXO. They don't deal in big numbers. I know you stop in small towns that don't have much. Plan out where you pick up your pesos. I've sent as much as $750 = about 15000 pesos. 2 levels: economy at a high exchange rate but takes longer or Express at a lower rate but in 15 minutes. Hope this helps.

    • @weekdayadventures
      @weekdayadventures  Рік тому

      Yes thank you!! We’ll definitely keep all of that in mind for next year (and head down with more pesos;). Thanks for watching!
