Weekday Adventures
Приєднався 29 вер 2011
Hey there! We're Meagan and James, full-time RV nomads on a journey to slow down, explore more and live life outside. We sold our home in 2022, trading the occasional weekday adventure for life on the road - boondocking and camping off-grid as much as possible. Come along with us, and our two pups, as we explore new terrain, go on outdoor adventures and share what full-time camp life is all about!
Thanks for checking us out, we hope to inspire people of all ages to take their own adventures - whatever that may be!

Oxxo, the place to get money!
Pete’s was empty! What month was that
October but during the week ;)
I certainly hope you've been to Meadow Lake campground. 100 miles from you
Next time! We couldn’t make it to a lot of places due to snow - so we definitely plan to go back.
Where is everyone???
Waiting for the weather to cool down ;)
great vid!
Do you guys ever hit the snow? If yes how does it the rig hold up? ?
sir - can you show how you built the drawer system?
Thanks for the frequent views out to the sides. Great desert scenes!
Love you guys, so down to earth. Dude you are really a good cook. Getting lots of tips!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support!
Where can I rent a RV for coming there?
No sé llama Baja. El nombre es Baja California
In every overlanding video, they have to cook. Doesn't matter what channel you watch.
No sé llama Baja. Se llama Baja California
Any recommendations for a low key hotel in Loreto? Walking distance to restaurants and the water, but hopefully quiet. Thanks
years ago we used to drive all the way to the springs and stay there for days at a t me . seeing only 1 or 2 cars in a weeks times . had the pools all to our selves for days and day .. then one day it was only drivable and parking was only allowed during the day - i haven't been there in 25 years . and now i see this - hike in only - ok a good thing .
Beautiful
Spoiled rotten, lol
Awesome
I love Baja fishing, been to 90% of the places you're at...but I enjoy seeing two real people in real love. So many phony-ass HUA "influencers" talking about their superficial relationships that are mostly based on image -- then there's you guys on the actual "reality" end of things... earned you a sub
Very nice video, thanks for sharing
Beautiful
Great video. I am going up along around there this weekend. Also, please keep NOT sharing GPS locations. All these people unwilling to put in the time and effort to find spots are exactly the type we want to keep out. Just searching for their next social media post that makes them look a certain way...
Thank you! Some people just don’t get it. Hope you have a great time up there😎
Gracias por visitar México
I’m sorry but I’ve ‘inhabited’ Baja Sur(seasonally)since the late ‘80s and I don’t appreciate what folks like you do even though you have an audience. So much has been ‘discovered’ that a lot of the ‘magic’ that brought us all here has gone with the expatriot consumption ..and the ‘destination’ mentality that has ruined many locations.. just sayin ..
CHU CHU'S has gone done hill bigtime..LUCKY YOU DIDNT GET SICK
Cabeza De Vaca Great grandson is the father of ISABEL DE BACA who married pedro Duran y Chavez And Generations later a man took a Indigenous woman as his wife and a few more generations after that i find my self learing about the pueblos and history of New Mexico,Much love to my lost Cousins the Romero,Sanchez, Gutierrez,Baca,Padilla,Torrez, and many more from ur cousin Jr Chavez....
You sliced it in half and peel off the skin. You don’t even have to touch and scrape it all that stuff just enough to pull back the skin.
Awesome! Thanks for the tips😎👍🏽
Boy has things gotten expensive More than the United States. Crazy.
Yes it has but not any more than the US. Inflation is happing everywhere
Do you guys speak Spanish? I want to go to Tijuana from San Diego (ocean beach) but don’t know Spanish.
We speak a little Spanish but it’s not always necessary to travel.
Please stay off our beaches the gringos have just about destroyed them with their RVS and trucks were trying to save them for future generations.
Beautiful place amazing video ❤
Boy has it got expensive. More than the United States. What happened.
It has! There are more and more tourists going theses days (us included). Camping is one thing but you can still find some small local restaurants/markets at a good price👍🏽
Hey guys what psi where you running in your tires? Got an 03 v8 4runner 4wd that id like to adventure arounf in this area with. 265/65/17 ATS
I think we had them at 15-18psi🤙🏽 Have fun!!
@@weekdayadventures cool! Had fun adventuring around at 25psi today what a great area to get out and have some fun!
Good content! Been going through your videos. Curious, what’s your mpg like? Average speed? I’m assuming it’s always in S4?
Thanks! We average around 12.5mpg aka “smiles per gallon”. I would guess average speed to be 65mph (outside of California). And you’re right, s4 keeps the transmission from switching back and forth between gears. Overall we are pleased with how well the 4runner is holding up👍🏽
@@weekdayadventures appreciate the response. Got it, it’s what I’d expect! Anyway that in the future you could do a video of how you have the trailer and 4runner packed to balance proper weight such as “tongue weight”? We are truly considering doing something similar next year, so I thought about selling my 4runner, but watching your videos makes me think about keeping it and trying it out. Im sure by now you have a ton of miles with this combo.
@@ivan199120 @weekdayadventures I watched this video initially about a year ago after buying a 4Runner. I'll affirm the approximate fuel mileage while towing, as well as the speed + use of S4. The only time I slide it into S5 is on a long downhill. We're towing a 2019 Sonic Lite VMS, which probably weighs at most 200lbs more. We're in Ohio, and have stayed within 3 hours of home so far, but next summer have a trip planned to cover some distance. I'm pretty comfortable that the 4Runner can handle it. I installed a Scan Gauge to monitor transmission/oil/water temps while we drive.
@@ryanstroh4505 awesome thank you for the feedback! That’s quite some weight haha! Well for the 4runner. Gives me even more hope. I love my 4runner, these past two years we’ve taken cross country trips for about a month, camping and off-roading. Only places that I’m truly concerned about are on mountain passes. I feel like the 4runner already struggles as is with 600lbs of gear in the back. Don’t want to get rid of it if I don’t have to, knowing that others pull trailers makes me feel good about keeping it. I have a scan gauge too and will be using it, any idea of what ideal temps would be?
Thank you for visiting i grew up here and here is not the much but its all with traditional they are some dancers here im in a soseeah group not real real traditional but im not gonna talk about ours but my mom is working their back than the red or dodge Challenger out side the zuni visitor center but im now still learning my language just again do not take pictures of the dancers but you can see others not the real one thank you.
My boyfriend and I camped at that very same spot last Sept!!!
That’s amazing! How windy was it then?
@@weekdayadventures not bad at all. It was the end of Sept. Stayed 3 or 4 nights. I love your channel.
Ah thank you!! That means SO much to us. And we have heard the fall is the best time on the rim!
That is party cove two Pary cove one is much easier to get, but not as much shade And More people
Yeah, not sure but we definitely cruised through a party cove with lots of people and decide to venture further out. Such a beautiful lake!
🤔 Wondering…given hot springs can fluctuate in temperature or might contain toxic elements or gases -Jemez/Valles Caldera being a volcanic field….is it advisable to recommend a place like this that may not be under ongoing scrutiny for safety? I wouldn’t want to see a news item later about someone getting scalded there. Pretty spot, though.
Wondering if you feel the same about the numerous blogs written on how to find each of the hot springs in NM? We always adventure at our own risks. 👍 And we travel to many many places that don’t undergo scrutiny for safety (the sea in Baja for one). 🤷♀️
@@weekdayadventures No opinion, just curious.
Hey, I enjoy your videos and your vibe. I want you to continue to post more please, SO please take safety precautions while paddle boarding at least wear a leash, and bring PFDs. Enjoy your adventures, be safe, and thank you for sharing.
Thanks for looking out for us!
Next time ask me for a tour. I'm from the middle village and get you access to the actual sacred dances but no cameras. Yes access to view from within the actual middle kiva where all sacred dances are held. My relatives all own the south part of the buldings
We would love to take a tour with you next time! We really enjoyed our visit and would like to learn more👍🏽
Do you run your a/c much?
We run the A/C when we hook up to electricity at an RV park, so in places like Loreto and Mulege. We don’t run it much on the generator unless it’s an absolutely must. But it was so hot 24/7 this week from the hurricane down south that we couldn’t possible run it. 😎
@@weekdayadventures oh i see. Thanks
What month did you leave? Seems like a great time to go.
We’re generally down there from mid October through February. 🙌
@weekdayadventures 👍 thanks
Wow! I need to explore that area of baja! Looks so beautiful, what time of the month you went?
I believe it was the end of December.
@@weekdayadventures thank you for replying 🙏
Your dogs wanted some flautas 🪈 😂😂

Hi guys love your videos, you guys see any Class A motorhomes out on the beach?🏝️
We do see them but they are careful to bot get into the deep sand. Thanks for watching!
Weird that you drove all the way to Knoll lake when you were camping so close to Woods Canyon Lake.
Sometimes it’s as much about the adventure getting there as it is the destination. We were also on the Rim for multiple weeks, and fished Woods Canyon Lake multiple times. :)
I would never subscribe to a channel made by hypocrites like you. At the start of the video you asked people to share places they lobe in NM, but you are unwilling to do the same about your Mogollon Rim site. Not cool!
We asked for general places to visit in New Mexico, for example Taos. We thought we were sharing a cool place in Arizona called the Mogollon Rim. Never did we ask for specific gps coordinates, forest roads, directions or campsites. Not sure why you’re so angry about us not willing to give exact spot locations to the thousands of people who have watched this video.
Looks great, how much did it cost to rent?. planning on visiting Arizona next September from the UK, been looking at Scottsdale and Lake Havasu
I believe it was $500 for the full day and totally worth it! Scottsdale is also lovely.
Hi planning a camping trip in a couple of weeks !! I absolutely love where you guys are at! Can you pls provide the name of the road or campsite. I’ve been searching for weeks and can’t find how you guys got there !!
To be perfectly honest we don’t have gps coordinates or a dropped pin or anything. It was a while ago now. Somewhere off Forest road 260. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking nicely!
Ironic you say: "...all to ourselves!" in the description. Please, do the springs a favor and remove this post.
