      Just wanted to add more personal thoughts to this situation.
      The newest generation of young adults are nothing like the generations before them. GenX was like you said in another video, a form of boot camp, which looking back seems correct. I used to walk along the top of the monkey bars?, (jungle gym) and the P.E. Coach commented to me that I’d make a good soldier. Never thought about that until now.
      This Cash Glitch Scam, OMG, They are fools to fall for this bad advice. Who was the first person to post this for people to fall for it? Their futures are ruined, they basically robbed themselves, and will have to serve time for doing so.

    Many of them have been in the negative before with their bank accounts. The highest negative balance you could probably be in "normally" is by $50-$70 dollars negative (not including the addition of fees). Any other higher monetary values that goes against your insufficient balance usually gets automatically declined.
    So the glitch here was that they'd be able to go into the negative by 10k, 20k, and 30k, etc, and receive the funds right away. They were aware that the account would now be ruined in bad standing afterwards.
    However, they were NOT aware of how serious a crime over-drafting your account is. In addition, how the consequences will follow them and everyone associated with the fraud and account in question.

    • @MysteriousFuture
      @MysteriousFuture 4 місяці тому

      They wouldn’t be able to open a new checking account at any major banks for many years to come

    • @roamingirl
      @roamingirl 2 місяці тому

      That makes sense as from my experience, regardless of whatever means by which a check is deposited, they might release some funds (depending on the account) but I can’t imagine them releasing $10K before it clears unless you already have that much in the account to cover it. Does that make sense?
      Thanks for sharing the specifics of the “glitch” because it was really bugging me as I was reading the comments, both for the reason I explained above and also bc I can’t imagine ALL those people using the word if there weren’t one somewhere in the process!

    • @roamingirl
      @roamingirl 2 місяці тому

      And, I’d like to add, they might get some “free” money now, but it will go fast and then they are totally F*CKED for the rest of their lives having lost access to everything they could have benefited from relating to finance in any way! If they are caught and prosecuted, of course.
      Hopefully, they, at the very least, will be compelled to pay it back -even at $5 a week garnished from their paycheck for the rest of their lives! Damn, they’ll be worse off than before pulling this idiot stunt! The level of stupidity and utter lack of foresight is staggering. I have trouble even thinking of a scenario where someone would be a sympathetic defendant to where they weren’t held accountable at all. What a mess.
      Going to check the news now instead of wildly speculating about it all based solely on what I’ve read here. lol

    You make a good point, TR: These people don't look like they know how to balance a toothpick, much less a checkbook. Further, I can only withdraw $500 per day from ATM at my nonChase bank. How were they able to withdraw so much at one time?!?!?! I've been asking this since this whole thing started. And I say the same thing too: Did Chase set this up on purpose, because they should've been up on this. Another creator on YT postulated that this could've been done to put a whole lot of black people in jail, or at least hinder their ability to vote in the upcoming election. I wonder. I hate to say this because I love my people, but sometimes we jump too fast to get "free" money because we still have that slave mentality and think something is owed to us and feel like we deserve this ill-gotten gain. We need to stop with thinking like this. You get what you earn, and in this case, they earned that jail cell, paycheck garnishments, cardboard condos, etc.

I went to my bank to see if it was legit.I had a nice talk with the branch manager who informed me that this was the fourth time someone had came with the type of check I had. The difference was that I asked questions and the other people tried to deposit it. In the end I would have owed the bank 5k and some other unpleasantness I would have had to deal with.

    As someone from Gen Y aka a millennial born in 1985, I can't help but laugh as the dumbasses that did this. I feel no sympathy for these people. Also over two million people did this? Yikes, time to break out the popcorn and drinks for this one.

    SIR, How is it you understand this so clearly yet other folks don't? They had to be smart enough to open an account using proper ID. After watching all or parts of at least 3 dozen videos its the young black people doing this. WHY?
