Ok. I just watched a RECENT video where the person had music playing through his AirPods max while running them under water. No issues occurred with the max’s not continuing to work. So, my question here is, are they still working for you? If so, and the sound quality wasn’t affected, what does it matter that there was water in the cups? Dry them off with a hair dryer and keep going. I’m going to check and see if they have a water sensor like the phones. If not, I may try them in the gym, as I sweat profusely! If they mess up, take them back to the store!

My Pros couldn’t take my profuse sweating, so after using my last apple care trade, I purchased a pair of Beats pro wireless ear buds. They’ve held up great handling my sweat! I only use my Max and AirPod Pros in situations where I don’t sweat.

I wonder if Apple actually made them sweat resistant but didn’t say they are so that the price didn’t have to be even higher the. They are now. Just like one plus pro. Their phone wasn’t promoted as water resistant , but it actually was. They just didn’t claim it to make the price as low as possible.

All headphones have this problem more or less but this is the most severe I have seen. Maybe they have tested for this and its ok longterm. But probably a good idea to wipe them with a towel after each listening section. I think the ear muffs' material are not dense enough to block out the humidity like other headphones. (Though it does make them super comfortable and don't trap heat.)
@@shekelmeister I’ve realized that too. The middle area where the L and R are placed are suuuuuper thin. I put a piece of paper towel inside and gonna test it again tomorrow for an hour to see if the sound still sounds good and if it stops the sweat from at least getting in the drivers.
My airpod max got damaged and i didn’t even go to the gym with them i wore them around the house and all of sudden they started to make a white nose sound in my left earcup and started disconnecting and they work sometimes but as soon as i take them off there will be a popping noise when i put them back on and i would have to rest them evertime so they work , i sent them to apple they said it had water damage but i never wore them outdoors , the condensation must have damaged them, without me realizing, do anybody know how can prevent that from happening again? Cause i just got new ones and im afraid to wear them for a long time because what happened to my old ones
The aluminum metal is a heatsink and produces condensation when there is temperature differences from the metal vs. the ambient temperatures. They will condense even if you don't wear them and you face them downwards blocking the airflow. Won't be buying these. Too bad.
BE AWARE.. wearing this for more then an hour they will accumulate moisture. It happened to mine . I sent them in for warranty. They told me I had to pay $300 to get them fix . Checking google there is a lawsuit against Apple about this problem .. I mentioned this and got them fixed under warranty.. the internally board gets corroded . Most of Apple’s devices have a coating on the board they say that does not allow moisture to short it out , but not on these headphones…be aware….

Same washed the earcups, wore the AirPods with them 80% dry, saw water drops and wind noise appeared on the right driver.
