lost 170+ lbs in 9 months doing keto with OMAD. also did 48 and 72 hours fasts couldn't eat a whole lot at one setting, just kept myself busy and drank water like crazy during the day and the weight just shot of me.

Yeah so you are really missing the 'high fat' part of Keto which is why you felt low on energy. If you just doing low carb then your 1 meal should have had some rice or something but if you are doing keto, you doing it wrong, way too much protein, too little fat. But as always fun videos to watch.
Headbanger's Kitchen very true. Most people don't realize that if they eat too much protein then they can go into a state of gluconeogenesis, which means that they can stall out or store fat again. It can knock you out of ketosis. You may still lose weight regardless since you are technically still low carb, but you will more than likely no longer be in ketosis. Gluconeogenesis is a state in which the body converts extra amino acids and proteins into sugar to be used for fuel. Break it down "gluco"- sugar and "neo Genesis" new beginning. You are creating new sugars in the body in this way.
Yes that is true Junifer but I've been doing a lot of research and I did the carnivore diet myself but there is no indication what is that amount of protein. Will have to get a blood ketone meter someday and eat just protein adn see how many grams actually kicks me out.
Gluconeogenesis is overrated. It's not going to make you less keto-adapted after eating protein like 1g/lb of body mass. Of course, you can experience less ketones but if you're doing OMAD and fasting then you'll already be in very deep ketosis and that effect is transient
Siim Land You're right. I wasn't thinking about OMAD and fasting. I was thinking along the lines that most people who do Keto usually do JUST keto, which in that case it does make a difference. But in the case of Keto combined with OMAD and fasting I agree 100 percent.

hes doing one meal a day if he needs 2500 calories to maintain and 2k calories to lose 1 pound a week lets not forget he trains so some days will be 3k calories maintain hes actually way below his calorie needs for like all his meals he does not consume enough fat also and fat is the main source of calories on that diet
he needs more nuts dark chocolate cheese mayo fatty meats more avocado flax seeds hes doing more of a 60% protein 10% carb 30% fat should be 70% fat 20% prot 10% carbs or even 65% fat works just keep carbs at 10% these mostly come from vegetables and a few here and there

Why are people complaining about his protein portions? I just calculated and he's getting ~180 lbs of protein in. That what he's supposed to as he's a bodybuilder. Also, you can't see what kind of fats he's added in the form of oils.
Thanks for the video. I just did 1 week of this but kept carbs and it hasn't effected my energy level negatively. I have a little bit more energy if anything. I lost 6 lbs but I sm heftier for sure. I'll be sticking with it as long as I have good results and then alter things as i get to a healthier weight.

I do OMAD keto vegetarian 🌱 and eventually you get used to one meal a day.... but eventually you happy with smaller meals

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful transformation experience. It’s truly inspiring. I am a 27 year old OBESE man and I hate myself everyday as I don’t look normal. I have spent a lot of money and time at various gym for transformation programs but nothing truly worked for me. I weigh 200 lbs with my shortness of height (165cm) I truly never enjoyed life additionally mocking by people each day at school and work. I tried one meal a day plan (intake less than 1000 calories) for about 2 months and could only loose 10 lbs. since then I didn’t loose any weight. At the gym I can’t even lift over 15lbs not sure how do I proceed with my goals. I just want to look and be healthy. I would appreciate if you could advise me, please.

You didn’t eat 1 meal a day. You ate 3 meals at 1 time per day. You may have had better results if you ate 1 single meal. I think fasting made you so hungry that at meal time you were overeating. The food was healthy, but it wasn’t just 1 meal. You don’t appear to have much body fat so your results were good for your body type. A for effort.

Yeah, he doesn't have fat to burn for energy. Keto is for people who want to burn fat for energy. If you don't have fat stored to burn for energy, your body is going to burn muscle which will cause you to feel less energy. But if you have fat to burn, your body will burn fat for energy and when you deprive your body of carb, your body will become better at burning fat for energy.
It doesn't really work that way, Expert Writer.
Eating once a day can help with weight loss, even if the calories are the same. In fact, not eating enough can make it harder to maintain, since you will become too hungry during the day and be prone to cheating over time.
I know that the tendency is to limit calories to lose weight. In eating OMAD the goal is to correct your insulin levels and resistance. A big meal of cake would spike your insulin very high, even eating only once. The fasting before and after will help re bring that insulin back down making it not as fattening.
*Though there is minimal nutrition and I can't recommend eating that way.
Now if you are worried about it being too much bulk... Then you may simply be correct for you. I looked at some of those meals in the video and knew I wouldn't finish even half of that mass! :)

I am doing 20:4 IF and I am having a hard time eating all the calories I need. I just feel so full after eating just a few portion. I wish i could blend my meat and chug it down. Fat is easier to incorporate though.

I've been doing keto OMAD for 1 month now I've dropped atleast 1 size in clothing, clothes are loose and bought 1 size smaller clothes so definitely I've had some fat loss.
However in the last 2 weeks I bought scales to measure my weight but the scales aren't moving at all or weight seems to fluctuate up and down?
It should be a lot easier for me to lose weight especially at the weight I am and since I'm doing keto OMAD, my current weight is 315 pounds all of this is quite disheartening however I'll push on 😡

IT TAKES MOST PEOPLE 4 - 6 WEEKS TO FULLY KETO ADAPT. THERE IS ALWAYS A DIP IN PERFORMANCE AT THE BEGINNING UNTIL THE BODY ADJUSTS. MAKE SURE YOUR SODIUM, MAGNESIUM AND POTASSIUM LEVELS ARE MET.
