@@ThePerfectStormGaming sorry I thought there was only 1 question and that was if we like to see more reviews on the lightgun . To which I replied yes please ..I'll have to watch video again to see what other questions was . Also I'd like to know is your gun the final product or the test ones that weren't quite finished yet that they sent to people like yourself early ? Thanks
I'm in Australia, and the the guys at Retro Shooter have been great with communicating with me. As I live in a rural area, Fed Ex added an extra shipping charge, but they told me straight way, and offered me to ship to a different address if I wanted. In Australia, high shipping charges are to be expected, we are use to it, but it was great that they got in contact straight away, so I don't feel left out, and may still get my units before the end of the year. Really cool that they are taking care of international customers, and not just the US.
@@ThePerfectStormGamingstill watching! That damn recoil is like an energizer bunny! I bought a set of these so I can make a good holster for it but damn, might be my main gun….and I already converted my MX-24s to Gun4ir….
@ nice would you do the same with these? You’ve gotta tell me how the like they compare in plastic durability and stuff to the Gun4ir ones. I’m curious how they hold up. This one is built real sturdy and strong. And at first I didn’t think it slid back and fourth enough but then I plugged it in and was like wow okay maybe I shoulda kept my trap shut. Lol.
@@LumiousSage definitely check out the Lightgun + build from Jasen Baker. It’s worth every penny. It’s jam packed with Lightgun games and then he’s got a full mame set as well as a bunch of 8 and 16 bit systems. On there. I’ll be revisiting it again this week sure a full in-depth review.
@@JJ2c good question. Which buttons specifically? I’m getting used to using the two on the tip of the gun. I’m kind of used to the Guncon 2’s set up with the D pad at the back of the gun where your thumb can easily get at it. When I’m able to customize the buttons like on Teknoparrot I usually make that my specials for left and right and reload is down. Unless there needed then they’re set to that. And I’m used to the buttons on the middle of the gun where the barrel is on the Guncon 2’s but the reapers are nice just takes some getting used to. It honestly could’ve had 2 more buttons towards the middle and it would’ve been WOW!!! But all in all I’m VERY happy with the recoil of the gun it’s really nice and strong.
Vito your quality concern with those buystuff IR emitters, was that build quality, function, or both? If function, did you try them with the Reapers before swapping them out? I'd love to use my RS emitters, but they're a bit too wide to fit inside my cab's display bezel the way I'd like. The buystuff ones looked like a good alternative, but obviously not if they're functionally junk! Thanks.
@@Technowizard79 I mean they did what they were supposed to do but I just kinda slapped them up there didn’t really give af how they went up or not just that they got up there. I did not try them with the reapers.
@@ThePerfectStormGaming Gotcha. I've read the old Red/Blue RS guns had issues seeing some IRs, hence the relatively big/bright ones they include. I've also heard our Reapers' upgraded internals addressed that issue, which is why I asked. Screw it, I'll give the buystuff ones a whirl... worse case I'm out $25 and gotta figure something else out, LOL. Thanks for the feedback! :)
@ yeah I’d go with what they give you. OR you can purchase a pair of the Gun4ir ones which are way slimmer and smaller and may fit for what you need them for. They’re like $40 or $50 hit up Raymond Dai if you want to go with theirs. I’m gonna assume they’re way better than the ones RS gives.
Did the original RetroShooters need to be set to 16:9 or 4:3 mode? I remember calibrating the gun gave you an option for each of the aspect ratios but didn't know that the gun had to be set to one of them.
@@ThePerfectStormGaming I guess it was more of a, "if I can figure both is the one I configured last the act I've configuration or does it matter as long as they are both configured?". I would think the ladder but I will follow up on the Facebook group. I appreciate you reaching out to them for me.

good question. They're more accurate, They are built to last. While these retroshooters are still brand new so we don't know how well built they truly are or how much they're made to last. How good are the internals? only time will tell.
Hi and thanks for the amazing video. Do you happen to know what kind of mechanism is used to generate the recoil in this lightgun? Does it use a rumble motor or something?

@@ThePerfectStormGaming yah, I heard that, but I thought later on in the vid you would try again or detail more what's going on. But I guess in a real world situation no one is going to use a pistol and the reaper at the same time. Thx for trying.
