Hooked up the old controls, saved some cash. Honestly, being a 80’s kid, the buttons and sticks in the arcade were sorta trash, beat up. I’d say the Arcade1up controls r an upgrade!
Very cool. I like how you can now turn on using the original cabinet switch and no amp needed. I was looking for the parts for it without the rasberrypi on your site. I just need those specialty plugs that go into the HDMI converter for the power and sound.
I want to add this: I did a full button, stick and USB encoder job on my Yoga Flame over the weekend, and when I was done, my plexiglass deck protector wouldn't lay down over the buttons; I had to loosen up all the buttons, align them using the deck cover, and then tighten them all back down. TLDR; If you're using a deck protector, use it to align the buttons before tightening them down all the way.
No need to drill in a yoga flame since you have the live button. Also, if you ever do decide to drill in the plexi again, we have shown a very easy method to align it in a previous video. Put the plexi on the board, then drop in the 4 screws to align the two together. Once aligned, mark your spot, clamp it down and carefully drill. Gets everything aligned very easy.
