- Wassup guys, here’s the run we were waiting for. Very close runs, the WRX was flat foot shifting every race which kept his momentum going, I wasn’t flat floot shifting at all but I was brake boosting. I didn’t wanna risk braking another transmission lol. I did wish we had more space. Hope you enjoy the vid!
Filmed in Mexico.
Recorded with my GoPro hero 9.

One of the few people keeping the civic si alive! Appreciate the videos brother. keep it up!!!
Thanks bro I appreciate the support! Glad you’re enjoying the vids. And yea everyone moved on to different platforms but I’m still here holding it down 💪 Stay tuned for more Si content!
Subaru did way better than I thought it would damn.. those ffs putting in crazy work
Yea it’s really quick + driver mod, It definitely took me by surprise
Bro idk what it but I test driven 2 10th gen si sedan one a 2017 year model and the other a 2020 year model there’s supposed to be a difference in gearing for the last year for more low end torque I could slightly feel the difference but man they are so slow from 1st gear i tried doing a 1st gear pull and the car revs up in the rpm’s but the power doesn’t kick in until it reached a higher rpm’s then the tires chirped in 2nd and 3rd gear it feels really slow in the beginning but it seems to pick up speed the higher you go in gears I didn’t like the delay in power from the 1st gear I test drove a 2020 Honda civic base model with the CVT and for whatever reason it feels punchy from a stop when you press on the gas compared to the 10th gen Si but the power cuts off after 40+mph and it feels slow compared to the Si where it feels quicker at higher speeds
I test drove a 2019 Honda civic Si coupe and the exact same thing that I experience in the 2020 base model CVT is what I experience in the coupe it was slow in 1st gear but when the rpm’s went up and hit 4krpms it felt like boost kicked in and the car started pulling it felt quick compared to the Sedans I don’t get why tho since they make the same power and the weight difference is probably like 100lbs I really need a sedan 4 doors 4 more hoes even tho the coupe looks really nice and sporty I need the extra doors and legroom I don’t think I could get the 10th gen Si sedan anymore maybe it’ll make a difference if I tune it and throw mods to it but just pretty disappointed on how slow it feels for being a turbocharged car the 9th gen si coupe I drove that’s stock feels wayyyyyyyy quicker in 1st and 2nd gear compared to the 10th gen si the torque on the k24 is really really punchy even though the 10th gen si has more torque and is supposed to kick in at 2k rpm’s it doesn’t feel like but the unfortunately the 9th gen si is slowwwwww at higher speeds after 70mph the power goes down hill so if I wanted to race people on the road I’ll loose but it makes for a good daily for city driving under 70mph because of the torque
The delay you’re getting is turbo lag. Every new car with a turbo comes with turbo lag and the Si is one of the few cars that doesn’t have as much lag since it’s a tiny turbo lol. They are slow from factory and u will need a tune to make it faster. Comparing it to previous gen Si’s the 10th gen Si is much faster stock vs stock or Fbo vs Fbo than any gen Si
@ yeah they definitely feel quick top end compared to the 8th and 9th gen si but they lack power in 1st gear after that the car starts to pull the more gears you go through that’s what I noticed maybe I’ll get the Si and tune it so it can feel quicker
@@turbro7185 Yea I feel like a tune is a must especially to remove the rev hang. Like you said the top end is really good compared to previous gens.
Good runs, sucks didn't have enough space 👍🏾
with flat foot shifting it would help you alot lol.
Yea definitely would help, I just don’t wanna risk braking another transmission lol
@Dimelowcrew I feel you im doing my head gasket right now sucks 😔
@@CarsNfish Yea I know by flat floot shifting the car can be much faster but I don’t think its worth it braking something expensive. At end of the day everything is just for fun. Wat happened to your car? Did you lift the head?
@@Dimelowcrew yupp I was on stock head bolts so it was bound to happen
I see, yea you were supposed to that way before lol, my car is running great no issues so far.
So there’s hope to make my si faster lol
You should. Not bad for a tiny 1.5 and you will surprise a lot of people
Civic has better power to weight ratio....
It does but I still think this WRX is making more than 375whp (mustang dyno) I’d say very close to 400whp
@@Dimelowcrew still not reliable
@@kevinpenny3587 What that has to do with the race?
I have a wrx myself full bolt on making 400hp on the mustang dyno. Again great runs guys, stay safe
@@donnavanbromfield5870 That sounds more realistic, when you do the conversion from mustang dyno to let’s say a dyno jet it comes out to 400whp. Cuz the power to weight ratio doesn’t make sense for him to be right there with me lol. But stay tuned for more runs!
Sounds boring lol
