Just want to give a bump to TPG tuning. They tuned my 17 STI. It was solid for 3.5 years and then I sold it. Nate and Jason always answered my questions when I emailed them, and they even provided me new maps at no charge whenever I wanted to make a change or added new parts like injectors, FPR, etc. They were great to work with, after-tune support was great. I would recommend them to anyone.
I agree! They tuned my 2020 WRX back in 2022 and it was flawless! Highly recommend TPG Tuning for your 22+ tuning needs. Who wouldn’t wanna be tuned by the guys making great power

Round fire lock rings will always be the best. And won’t chatter like the square ones. Did you know the Cummins 5.9 fire ring is pretty much the same bore as the Subaru ej25… i am firm believer in the round fire rings.

@ they make electric waste gates but ya if your not a fabricator then I see the bolt on purpose but if you put a nice ball bearing turbo on there with the e gate. You won’t be disappointed
Trans is definitely a weak point on the vb. If only they would've just used the 6 speed from the VA sti. After my warranty is up I'm planning on doing the swap.

@ most shortblock or engine builds will say rated for but doesn’t mean it can’t do even more. Any car at xxxxhp is not going to be reliable like a regular car, it’s built and is going to be pushed to the limits constantly.

@ nah not at all. I have a built shortblock rated for 600bhp and make 500whp which is pretty close to that figure in crank and I’m at 14k miles haven’t had a single issue. Now will it last you 100-200k like a normal motor probably not but who knows, never heard anyone run it that long but probably because we all like to push power and break shit
Direct injection control from the ECU side is very complex. The only aftermarket ECU that will do it for you is Motec which is like a 7 grand investment alone. You COULD do it

Not good at the levels theyre talking about. You'd want an STi transmission, and if folks are going after this much power like theyre talking about, theyre probably looking at building it, esp. if it's too much past the 600-700 wheel area.
These things are sick though, why do people hate these. Subaru have a history of their car models being hated on for a while and having people grow on it everytime. I knew the same thing would happen to the VB model. Not only are these the fastest WRXs, but they look clean, especially when modified. Not to mention the comfortability when driving.
Awesome job but unless someone make a badass port injection controller that works with the stock computer (BMW+MHD+Motiv Reflex) than the people who don’t have Motec money won’t be able to truly maximize this combo. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️. The FA has be out for like 10 yrs and still nothing for port injection control?

As soon as someone figured out the casting process for upgraded turbos I’ve seen a couple companies start to come out with them. Love to see it
Casting. Dude just weld a v band clamp on some stainless tube from called headers and put whatever turbo you want on it.
@ these cars have electric controlled wastegates and electric controlled bpvs. Can’t just use any turbo or at least not without a lot of extra work

I love the VB but isn’t the transmission the only thing holding this platform back besides maybe the looks.
I wouldn't say only, but Transmission is a definitely a weak point over 375ft-lbs of torque

I believe they’re running a ETS custom big turbo set up. But I’m not 100% sure
I believe they are running the ETS kit with the g35-1050. They started with the g30-770 but it was tapped out.
