You guys made it look easy and I was super impressed with the whole process. Good equipment and good teamwork. I have done a lot of rigging to move smaller buildings the hard way over the years, and seeing this done by pros on a large scale was impressive. Great work!

Back 40 yrs or so I hired a home move to move my 14x70 about 20 miles. I did all the prep, he hitched to it and pulled away. He pulled up to the new driveway and said nope, can't make that corner. He dropped the trailer right there and left. $90 was the charge. I called my septic contractor and he brought his JD450 and spotted the trailer for us. Probably paid him $20, I don't remember. I bet you didn't get off that cheap. Fascinating to watch but I bet it cost you.

I sent a prayer for the house to move with no damage and everything will go ok. This is a day I have been waiting for and proud of and for you guys.
You live in what you call a trailer home. I, in the UK, live in what we call a static mobile home. Different shape but virtually the same thing, believe you me, its heart in mouth time when you see it arriving on its trailers. Same principle and a great answer to housing shortages. Yours came in one long bit, mine came in two halves then bolted together.
Never ceases to amaze me what a handful of highly motivated people with the right tools and equipment can do in a very short amount of time. Great job! 👍👍
Highly motivated and very skilled. They made it look easy! I live in Australia and I've never seen these mobile homes. I've seen houses moved on trucks, usually in the early hours of the morning because they are wide and take up both sides of the road.
Lois you do not have mobile homes in Australia?? The ones that’s really fascinating are the double wides two go down the highway and at the final destination they kind of zipper them together and you have one really large house!!
@@deborahlehman8617 No we don't. I've only ever seen them on UA-cam etc. I had no idea what they were but I've learned watching Sam and Angela mainly. I think I've seen a double wide maybe on DIYfferent. Houses, timber ones, get moved quite often here. If they are very large, they are cut in half and moved on two trucks and then put back together at the new site. Usually they are moved late at night or very early morning to avoid traffic etc.

We always say "Boring is good!" - We started saying this after the apartment above our daughter's was on fire and she was 1,500 miles from home. Everything turned out fine for our daughter. THANK YOU LORD!

So did I Tommy and O'Leta. My late husband moved Mobile Homes for many many years and I was a dispatcher for (moving Mobile Homes) almost 10 years in NC. I have never seen anything like this move...It was amazing. Happy you finally got it moved.

Thanks! I flew the drone while Angela filmed with our main camera. Her brother Austin also filmed with his phone for many parts, but the award goes to the poor little GoPro... scared to death riding in the room all alone. LOL
Praise the Lord for his goodness to us all. This was amazing. I thought it was something years ago when they used 2 trucks to pull our house up the hill to place it. But this was truly a sight to see. I always wondered how they got some of the houses I saw where they put them. Now I know. Definitely educated about that now. Thank you for sharing. We really enjoyed seeing this. Pray everything else goes as smoothly for you as this transferring your house has. Know the boys enjoyed all the excitement too. Haha.

That’s some slick equipment right there, radio control. Much has changed since my first two mobile homes. I’m so excited to see this actually coming to fruition. I loved the smile on the little ones face. OBTW Pal’s is here in Virginia as well only fast food I eat.

Holy geemoolie. The house coming down the hill almost gave me a nervous breakdown. I can't imagine how guys were feeling. Not to mention how much of a wreck you must have been when it was all over. You almost had a grown man in tears.
Oh my..wholly buckets that was stressful. I can’t imagine what it was like being there watching. I am so excited for you to settle into your home again.
My wife and I have been following your adventure for a long time. Many years ago after I got out of the Marine Corps at Cherry Point NC I had our mobile home moved to the Pittsburgh Pa. area and it was paid for by the government. If I remember right it cost $455 back in the early 1970's. LOL Keep up the good work and the positive attitude, it will serve you well.

I am so glad they hooked the second machine up to the primary tractor. The whole shebang could easily have slid down the hill on that green grass. I have seen it happen too many times.

That’s the equipment they used to pull our daughter’s art studio (1986 Connor single wide) onto our property. It’s amazing to watch. They can turn a 50’ home on a dime. Hope your getting settled isn’t as nerve wracking as the move!! Much love from South Carolina 💗💗

How surreal to see your home moving down the highway, glad the boys got to see it. I’m so excited for y’all! Those remote control thingies were wild! Slow and steady won the race on removing the house from your hill.
Don't know what you paid those guys but it was worth every penny. Considering where the house was and the difficulty in getting it to the road. Those guys had the right equipment. I have seen people move them with everything from a farm tractor to an excavator sometimes with bad results. I really liked the steerable bogey wheels. Looks like it helps to support the chassis better. Those guys are standing around like yea piece of cake. I have to say I am really impressed...

Back 30 yrs ago I bought a 1975 mobile home for a rental here in Georgia. Was going to move it to another county nearby but I couldn't get a permit because it was an older trailer. It may be different now I don't know. It does vary from state to state I guess. Congratulations on the move. I know you guys are anxious to get it set up and ready to be moved in.

I could tell when they put the blocks underneath and leveled it that it wasn't as high as it was on your other homestead, I like that it isn't as high. That was real interesting Sam and Angela. Its amazing how they can move a home with Remote Controlled tractors with special hydraulic lifts. You could tell, they were true professionals with their work.

That was freaking amazing . To see the house come down the hill like that and to fly the roads liked it was winged. I traveled on those roads in a semi and we passed several of mobile homes being relocated . I am so glad things went well . Just think it was flat with nothing . Look how far the homestead has come . Congratulations!
I kept thinking, as I watched the whole, tortuous move down that hill, "It's a good thing those floors and walls have been upgraded to stick home standards." I was holding my breath and didn't even realize it!! We live on the knees of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and it's kind of cool to think y'all will be living not far from that same mountain chain, the Appalachians! If you want to move such a house here in Germany, you first have to apply for a building permit for the new location and then apply for a demolition permit for the old location. Then request appointments from the district and the police for the transport. We still manage ourselves to death in Germany

My wife and I purchased a 2013 16X80 model. We had it moved off a farm and onto our property in town, which was about a 40 mile haul. Our movers were great, as well. We had NO idea of the labor and manpower involved until we had done this! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us!
