Why would they happily give away the rights to their biggest film franchise? Plus with no Sony there no Spider-Verse films and No Way Home could’ve suffered like most of the other Phase 4 films
Another change I'd make is that as much as I love the homemade suit, I'd much prefer a ditko inspired loose black and red crappy costume with web wings. Basically making it so that Tony Stark didn't create Spider-Man's look.
@The_Blue_Otaku I actually really dig the homemade suit, but given the choice I'd much prefer the charm of a baggy ditko suit that slowly gets torn to shreds by the Vulture.
@@chrispy3369 I wasn't really thinking of a baggy suit homemade suit but more of less a red and blue spandex suit with the web pattern and chest emblems being carefully drawn on with a permanent marker and with the lenses are made with silver mirrored sunglasses... hay if Captain America can get a comic book accurate spandex suit for that one scene of Captain America The First Avenger, why not have Spider-man's homemade suit just be a simple comic accurate spandex suit
@The_Blue_Otaku Oo yeah, I like that. But I'd like to tweak the eyes. I'd prefer it if Peter invented the prototype for the moving eyes like he did with the real homemade suit. So I'd have the eyes basically stay the same as the Stark suit, but maybe a little less sleek.
I do like this because it does give Peter a slight incentive to go against Cap and his team. He notices Cap being reckless instead of trying to save people and that doesn’t sit well with Peter.
I wish that we could have gotten him interact with Zemo especially with both Tobey and Andrew if they were the MCU Spider-Men. But like I said that I wish we could have gotten a flashback for Zemo on how he lost his family and the same with Lex in BVS because if he hated Superman because of his father if he wasn’t so cartoonish.
I like it, the introduction of Spider-Man here fits the MCU''s story with Spider-Man and his drive to become a hero works. But there is 1 inconsistency with the overall story, Bucky's location for the framing. Bucky at the time was in Bucharest, Romania during the bombing, with the distance between Vienna and Bucharest, it was highly possible that he committed the crime. But here, the bombing was in New York. There wouldn't be enough conflict to brew because Bucky has an alibi with the flight taking over 10 hours, adding that he has a metal arm, and a lot of factors that would make him innocent of the bombing. He wouldn't be a suspect with him being unlikely to make it in time to bomb the UN.
Imagine if Tony gave everyone on his side customs Iron Man suits It just seems strange that he’d give only Peter that upgraded suit yet not do the same for other people on his side
Honestly I think they should have just given us an origin story for Peter instead of putting him in civil war that way we can get him acting like spider-man faster and will have an actual reason to care about uncle Ben’s death in the mcu
Great pitch. Would that mean Peter would stay in high school if it means Uncle Ben’s death occurred not too long ago ? I hear a lot of people get sick of Peter in High School.
I imagine what Civil War might have been if they’d actually put effort into it. I truly believe it’s the worst written MOVIE in the MCU. Secret Invasion is the worst overall, but that’s hardly a secret. Civil War, well, that’s another matter. As an adaptation, it lost a lot the original material had going for it. A much larger super population, so the government wasn’t aiming a law and a handful of people, and a national rather than international response. Fully within the realm of political possibility. The U.N. doing that is more of a challenge to my suspension of disbelief than Pym tech, and Pym tech is ludicrous. A lot of countries that were in no way threatened wouldn’t give up their rights to any supers who might appear among their own people. I really think they skated on the deserved success of Winter Soldier. The cameras are just a step too far. One just happens to be where Bucky kills the Starks, and positioned perfectly to catch his face. As Deadpool would say, “That’s just lazy writing.” But the Zemo scam irritates me even more, as Natasha should have been immediately suspicious watching the 20th Century’s most secretive assassin peel off his disguise in plain view of everyone like he doesn’t know what a camera is. If he was that careless, he wouldn’t have remained a ghost for 70 years. Which brings us back to the other recording. Why did it even still exist? Because the plot required it. This movie makes me crazy. Especially when you consider how T’Challa supports the Accords but utterly ignores them in his movie. The very next movie. Accords Spider-Man also ignored everywhere he went. Almost as though their only purpose was to break up the Avengers and inconvenience Ant-Man. Slightly.
As I said, I think what we got was fine I got nothing wrong with it, but the changes I made are going to set up for my next rewrites. This isn’t a critique, it’s a bit of funz
Fantastic . But one major change I would have is that sony happily gave marvel rights to spiderman and we all lived happily ever after
Hahaha good change! 😂

@@chrispy3369 yeah good call
Oh my god yes, the physical appearance of the Homemade suit was one of my only personal pet peeves I had with Homecoming

I like this, I like how you added more to the character without rewriting too much, I can’t wait to see more
Thanks!

Awesome Spider-Man Video ❤️💙
WOW! I LOVE HOW YOU DID THIS! Including uncle ben into this, since the MCU completely skipped out on him, was perfect! 👏👏👏
Thank you so much!!
Lovin these changes man!
Although I think MCU Spider-Man is enjoyable, it is always nice to see other takes on what they could’ve done

Great story , reminds me of arachno crawlers rewrite
I miss The Spectacular Gwen Stacy

Keep a look out for my Homecoming rewrite and you'll get just that!
This is a great rewrite, however I'd change one thing, Peter would receive Iron Spider suit(comic accurate of course) instead of the Stark suit.
Oooo yes, although I may be saving that for something in the future of this rewrite 😅
Great pitch. Would that mean Peter would stay in high school if it means Uncle Ben’s death occurred not too long ago ? I hear a lot of people get sick of Peter in High School.
Yeah it would. All the other films barely let Peter be in high school so in that sense, the high school setting makes sense.
If he exsited i never saw him in the movies @@brewmaster2912
