If you update to the latest Firmware, the volume smoothens a lot and it actually reduces too much. I used to listen to it at 12 before the update, now 40 is the new 12. :)
I bought the g560 yesterday for 175 after tax. Got em all setup and running. Threw a nice eq on em and they sound amazing. Can feel the bass from across the house.
My lighting failed on it and the speakers are no longer recognized by the GHub software. Speakers and USB work, but I lost all customization and audio settings with it after 6 months of use.

I'll admit I'm an absolute Razer fan boy, my first gaming periphs back in the day were Razer and I've always stuck to them, but I will also admit that Logitech ALWAYS had superior speakers. I still to this day use Logi speakers, even when I love the Nommo design and RGB. Maybe the Nommo Pro will be excellent, but the $200 price tag with the sound you get, it's hard to beat Logi. Always has been.
i think the reason why the logitechs sound more muffled in this video is because of the recording method. I've seen other recordings that clearly sound much more clearer. The bass completely muffles everything in the microphone that is used here.

All i can say for the g560's is that they are very very solid for the price. And the screen sampling lighting is a great addition (next to the other options) I know the razer's sound pretty decent. But for the total package it offers i rather go to logitech on this one. I own the g560's myself now too. If you are a real razer fan and you really want it on your desk i'd say go for it. Can't go wrong with it. I do have other razer items myself as well. But the nommo's just didn't make the cut for me. Neither the nommo pro, since it doesn't have the same lighting options. but to each their own. Especially sound is very very subjective to anyone. One person says it's shite, while the next says it's great.

And the lighting was a total sell point for me. I bought it in returned retail packaging which made it at least 50 euro's cheaper for me at the time. (About 70-60 dollars or so? Don't know the current currency atm). Fair warning: emulated surround sound from almost every 2.1 sounds muddy to me and very unconvincing. G560's not excluded. This was definitely not a reason for me to switch over to these. But more compact, still powerful and fun rgb options. Hope you can find the right system for your own requirements.

Can the lighting be set separately between left and right speaker? Clockwise for left speaker and counter- clockwise for right speaker. Looks better that way instead of both clockwise or both counter- clockwise.
JBFro well you also got to think it depends on the mics he is using. Bass is always hard to get clear on mics, because the mics don't realize the highs or mids.
@jbfro the only reason his sounded that way, was because he had the bass all the way up. it was merely to show off the pounding the bass does. i assure you. logitech speakers are nice and crisp.

Razer is obviously exceptional - they provide non masked, non muddy informative sound. Non pro version has limited base, but again, razers provide space information. Logs here are boomy, thats all

Say what you want about Logitech but they know how to draw to their audience! I use a very very old Logi 2 speaker/woof setup, they're so old they look like the original 1.0 version of the Z213 setup they still sell today! They're not sleek or stylish but they still bump, look good and I'm sad to be doing away with them but I need the BT abilities!

After watching the video I still don't know which ones to get, I live in an apartment and currently use a Razer Blade 15 for my setup kind of as a desktop (monitor, mouse and keyboard). The Nommos are a Good option but having a Bluetooth speaker and the kick ass lighting would be cool :D. I was going to try the Kato YU2 , Edifier Luna eclipse, or Mackie CR3 but the Razers sound really good

Asked for the nommo chroma for Christmas to help with my music producing (also chose it to have its RGB sync up with wallpaper engine) but after seeing this review I wish I asked for the logi speakers. That subwoofer would be great for producing 😭

The audio fidelity and range is quite nice, it’s a lot easier for to pick up unwanted frequencies, although better speakers are in questions for the future, calling these “improper” speakers is goofy. The default flat mode on Logitech is distorted. If you change it to the cinematic gaming it's way better. Like I was a audiophile years ago then stopped caring as much but I still notice differences in sound immediately. I bought the G560 and was disappointed personally on initial use and said whatever. i just needed to stop using giant speakers on my PC setup. But then I went into the software and changed it and legit the speakers are legit amazing sounding. . Bass is clean and such. I keep seeing people using the flat and trying to adjusting when it's not good period.
Not sure what you meant by "never really need to go past 75% volume on the G560." Pretty sure even Satan could hear it from hell at 30% volume.

Just up the treble slider on the g560 to +3 and you will get good mids and highs through all the bass. It's the best of both worlds.

Katana is much clearer, the G560 doesn’t sound very good in comparison. It doesn’t even sound better than the Nommo, apart from having a lot more bass.
In hindsight I prefer the design of the Nomo

i have the nommo and i tell u that extra $50 for light is stupid ( returned mine and get the regular one ) as for sound.. well u have to sit a bit further from your desk or place them some where about 2 -3 ft away from where u sit that! is when the nommo sounds really good but it defeat the purpose of pc speakers tho as most people would just place them right in front
And what about bass ??
Asked for the nommo chroma for Christmas to help with my music producing (also chose it to have its RGB sync up with wallpaper engine) but after seeing this review I wish I asked for the logi speakers. That subwoofer would be great for producing 😭
If you are producing music please use proper speakers
@@shaolin95 I am producing and the nommo have been fine. The audio fidelity and range is quite nice, it’s a lot easier for to pick up unwanted frequencies, although better speakers are in questions for the future, calling these “improper” speakers is goofy. You’d be surprised by my production quality.

that's only because he had the bass on the g560 all the way up. it was merely to show you the quality of the bass on the g560 that is literally it.

I have owned the same set of Logitech z5500's for over 10years..... I think it's time to upgrade to the smaller 560's.
logitech g560 is not their first gaming speakers even this decade.
Z906 sounds better than both, is 5.1 and is cheaper.

Razer have way better sound,and cost lower, than this model Logitech.
Logitech sound like you sit in a close barrel,it have echo,quet sound and sound like a cheap ones.
And looks also wery easy and cheap.
O don't now, maybe, maybe in real they sounds different, but.
In the cam Razer sounds more better and cleaner.

The default flat mode on Logitech is distorted. If you change it to the cinematic gaming it's way better. Like I was a audiophile years ago then stopped caring as much but I still notice differences in sound immediately. I bought the G560 and was disappointed personally on initial use and said whatever. i just needed to stop using giant speakers on my PC setup. But then I went into the software and changed it and legit the speakers are legit amazing sounding. . Bass is clean and such. I keep seeing people using the flat and trying to adjusting when it's not good period.
