I'm Russian and I do not understand much of what you say in your videos, but they're so cool that I watch every one enjoying them (the text was typed in google translator XD)
nZ7 sound tests for speakers only really work for audiophile channels because they would have the gear to record it and most of the viewers would have high end monitoring headphones to listen. Sound tests for mics are fine, but most speakers would sound the same without the proper setup
Wow a value product from Razor. Never thought I would say that in my life. These things are a really good value until you add the subwoofer. $500 isn't really worth it to me for what it is but just the speakers are awesome for the price.
William videos TV in France this product cost between 100-120 dollars! It’s 100-110€ so expansive dude. Apparently the sound is correct but the basses feels strange
DAC = Digital analog converter, the base can not be a DAC as it receives analog signal from 3.5mm jack if it was usb with real DAC it would be really amazing.
I have an issue: I connected my Razer Nommo Chroma on my PC with the USB cable. But I want to use the speakers also on my Playstation 4. How can I do that? There is only an Audio Cable left. But no connection for that on my PS4. What to do?
Just got these. I’m not mad at them. They are what I expected them to be...namely pretty but so-so sound (the bass isn’t impressive at all.) I fiddled with both my bass settings in my laptop and the speakers and even with the most amount of bass possible, it wasn’t anything impressive. I had some cheap logitech speakers that had a subwoofer and sounded just as good. These also have REALLY directional sound, meaning sitting smack in the middle of em they sound pretty good but you move a little to the right or left and they lose ALL bass and just emit mid-high tones. It’s not a surprise based on all the reviews, but I just thought I’d get them to test em out. Got Soundsticks too so I’m planning to compare and send back whichever one loses. In the end tho, your really just paying for aesthetics and the RGB, which does look pretty decent.
these speakers honestly look like trash from the prespective of sound transmission. I think you're gonna lose a lot of heavy bass frequences being tiny and frail like that compared to a traditional square speakers
Does anybody know if you can plug these into your PlayStation 5 and use them? I've been trying to do that and get them to connect by changing the audio output but the volume is so quiet and it won't let me control the volume on the actual speaker. It just stays very quiet. I have not been able to find a way around this. Is there something I am missing or are they just not really compatible for PS5?
it's a counter top from IKEA probably, that's pretty common these days. people like to make their own desks with IKEA counter tops, they usually use drawers or shelves as the legs.
Just bought some today from Best Buy should be here Thursday I have a series x and recently wanted to better my gaming experience so I got a little aoc monitor and these so hopefully they treat me well really stoked to game on these
Not sure, but the 90's aiwa speakers with integrated subs would probably be the best alternatives for these, just add rgb to them for little bit of bass 😂
id use them for youtube and movies and some offline games, i play most games with a headset but for a computer you still need speakers even if you game with headphones
I have some of these in the box,i ended up buying something more conventional,i, like you also play most everything with headphones but the few times i used them the sound was really crisp, not a lot of bass (mho) but they are nice, they are mainly for gamers because of the lights,a nice compliment if you have a rig with lots of lighting.
Would you go for this soundbar Razer Leviathan 5.1 Surround PC Gaming Sound Bar over these speakers? Not for gaming but for listening to content on PC ?
Megaforce+ l don't need to hear them to know they sound bad, you can tell just by looking at them. l don't care how much RND you put in, a single 3'' woofer in a plastic box will not sound good and that is a fact. it may sound good to people who don't know what good sound is, but to somebody with tuned ears they are going to sound like garbage. anybody who knows a thing or 2 about acoustics knows that these aren't good speakers.
Electronics For Fun Em being decent sounding is enough. Noone uses speakers anyways so aint that big of a deal lmao. N still, u can't say shit when u haven't tried em. I kinda trust a tech yt'r more than a random in internet.
"Em being decent sounding is enough." maybe for you, but the rest of us want the most we can get. "Noone uses speakers anyways so aint that big of a deal lmao." actually lots of people still use speakers, they aren't out dated or old or anything and they are better than headphones. recording studios prefer speakers to headphones, as well as a lot of audio editors. headphones are only for when you're on the go or need to be quiet, 7/10 times you'll find that people prefer speakers to headphones. "N still, u can't say shit when u haven't tried em." yes l can because l know how acoustics work, and if these speakers sound good then they defy the laws of physics. "I kinda trust a tech yt'r more than a random in internet." and that's why l am the wolf and you're the sheep. l can think for myself and l know a lot more about audio than frank. fact is that these speakers aren't good, maybe if they were cheaper they would be decent but for $100 they are garbage there are so many better speakers for that price. (personal thought) l never use speakers with a built in amp, because you don't know what kind of QC that amp has going for it. the amp is the most important part because your speakers can only sound as good as your amp and a lot of active speakers get midrange to terrible amps put in them. with passive speakers (no amp) then you can use your own amp that you've tested and you know sounds good and is tried and true.
Feedback: Wish the headphone jack was on the front. You loose several inches of headphone wire reaching to the back and many wires would bend in a "U" shape. If you forget and pull away you do lots of damage to the wire-plug interface. Wish they had a toggle switch on the front so you can leave headphones plugged in all the time, but flip the switch to change from speaker to headphones. I listen to speakers when I'm home alone, but use headphones if family are around sleeping.
you mentioned that when you connect a headphone the speakers automatically switch but when you connect something on the aux will it do the same? im planning on connecting this to my pc and and to a vinyl player and im hoping that i can leave the aux connected while im using my pc.
Four of these speakers alone would probably not give much of an extra effect, It's not about the sound alone that would give the 5.1 or 7.1 effect, It's the processing of the sound. four of these speakers would still be cheap quality for more money spent.
SO! I got 3816USD to make a sick setup, and i need you'r help! I'm gonna buy the following: Razer Firefly Ajazz AK33 MSI Codex 3 MSI Optix G24C 24" (im buying 2 of these) Arozzi Milano (Red) Razer Nommo Razer Seiren I already have LED's around the top corner of my wall and roof, but thats about it. I have exactly 728,22 dollars left. Any idea what i should use those for? Should i spend them or not?
I think the Logitech G560 for a bit more money is the better buy since it comes with the woofer, sadly out of stock on BB and Amazon though, going to have to suffer with my G PRO X headset until I can find em, thanks for all the reviews, you’ve helped me out getting set up to game/stream!
Hey dude. I know this is an old video and u may not see this comment but I hope u do. I have the non RGB nommo speakers. But the cable from left to right is about a meter too short. I want to cut the cable and extend it. Do u know if it's just a speaker cable? I asked razor but they were useless.
Got my pair of speakers yesterday, fairly good speakers but they do not sound as good as i expected. This is more like what i would expect from a 60$ pair of speakers, though the design might add to their advantage and therefor the price-tag. So my tip is, look at cheaper models and compare the sound, if the design really speaks to you on this one, well go get it. But for the sound alone, it's not really keeping up a quality worth the price.
I really like razer I own a lot of there products myself and it's awesome to see a company take chances and try so many new things from all of there concept products to things like the razer phone and now these new desktop speakers even to the small things like with the red LED light on that mic they try and tune and perfect and as a consumer I love seen that
i have been looking into these and 499 is a tad bit ridiculous. i have the Logitech z5500 speaker setup. and the only thing that would pull me is the rgb. so they are going to have to offer me a lot more then what they are for the price point. to make me want to move away from a 500 watt system with a bass.

You just saved 8 minutes of my life
Or give a sound test...

Do you have a comparison for it through day and night? I would be great if we can see it.
what does that mean? no LED in the dark? How?
I wonder if Corsair will make RGB speakers to compete.
probably
not yet so far
Corsair probably wont do speakers
@@elis3533 not yet so far, although they already have rgb headsets...
@randomfrankp I'm sorry but you're wrong. Razer has released pc speaker systems in the past. It was called the Razer Mako.
Your spectales are awesome FrankP 👍👍
when razer releases a new item : ok cool
when frank reviews them : wow i want these
The inputs should be in the base so the wires aren’t dangling.
Wow a value product from Razor. Never thought I would say that in my life. These things are a really good value until you add the subwoofer. $500 isn't really worth it to me for what it is but just the speakers are awesome for the price.
I love the fact that this doesn't come with a subwoofer.
@@DavidEkstrom2025 There is another Razer Oppo set with a subwoofer included I think he's refering to
@@DavidEkstrom2025 he means the 2.1 version that costs €500, just €400 extra for the sub basically and a slight increase in speaker quality.
Really liked the speakers. Looking for more tech under 50$.the best series
William videos TV tomorrow!!!
please do a best speakers under 50 dollars :D :D
randomfrankp perfect 👌

X2slipow logitech z333
would be nice if both speaker can add/connect to razer leviathan
itsJaLie that woude be awesome
i actually think you can do that i've seen it in a couple of setups
anton hansen can you Link on
Leviethan is sooo better than nommo but they are a good buget option
I cant wait for the pro model
Got a set of these for my razer Chroma setup just waiting for a a delivery date.
Great review
Great video Frank! 👍👌 I love the look of these speakers. And for $99 dollars they are definitely something I’ll be picking up in the future!
Definitely looking into for my gaming set up 🆙
DAC = Digital analog converter, the base can not be a DAC as it receives analog signal from 3.5mm jack if it was usb with real DAC it would be really amazing.
Love how everyone forgets the Razer Mako.
I have an issue:

There is only an Audio Cable left. But no connection for that on my PS4.

you could connect them to your tv, if that works
These are nice speakers, I have the chroma version. I say put something underneath to raise them a bit as the sound projects very parallel.
Just got these. I’m not mad at them. They are what I expected them to be...namely pretty but so-so sound (the bass isn’t impressive at all.) these speakers honestly look like trash from the prespective of sound transmission. I think you're gonna lose a lot of heavy bass frequences being tiny and frail like that compared to a traditional square speakers
Can you do a render settings video? You have really clean renders
awesome review
Hmm, hair dryers for speakers now? In 2018?
To me, they're over priced RGB hair dryers
They look like commercial security camera's / web camera's to me.......hair dryer brilliant.
hey guys this is austin, are speakers really worth it in 2018 now that we have hairdryers?
I just made the same joke :D
I like the clean look of these speakers!
What's the difference compared to original ones?
The nommo chroma got a built in dac which the normal one doesn't have btw... so it's not only rgb for 50 bucks
Good video man...when you can make sure you look up those Edifier Luna Eclipses
CKid LMAO thought you where talking about me at first
It is not only the chroma that make them look apart they have a DAC and they connect with USB.
The non chroma $99 one's don't have a DAC in them. Huge difference in sound quality.
I love them. The only thing that I don't like is that the light isn't that bright. It looks so amazing!
its not better than the edifier E25HD Luna Eclipse? is it?
Does anybody know if you can plug these into your PlayStation 5 and use them? I've been trying to do that and get them to connect by changing the audio output but the volume is so quiet and it won't let me control the volume on the actual speaker. It just stays very quiet. My hair dryer looks exactly the same with two knobs for heat and level
Did you custom build your desk? Or did you buy it? If you bought it, could you please link me it? I’m looking for a desk just like that
it's a counter top from IKEA probably, that's pretty common these days. people like to make their own desks with IKEA counter tops, they usually use drawers or shelves as the legs.
It's the 1 peice wood counter top with two Alex drawers from ikea
Why didnt they place the cable connectors in the base so you could hide them easier
be cool if they have a line on bass and vol on it to see where it at
So off topic, what kind of desk is that? It’s very nice!
Great video man. Keep up the amazing work!
Looking for speakers for a set up I’m currently building, these still good bang for there buck 3 years later ? There £130 on Amazon… tempted to buy.

Yes
Does it synchronise with other razer products
Would you go for this soundbar Razer Leviathan 5.1 Surround PC Gaming Sound Bar over these speakers? Not for gaming but for listening to content on PC ?
Cool video RandomFrankP!! 😀 These speakers look so 🔥🔥🔥🔥
it looks poserish to me, there is no way these single 3'' inch woofers sound that good. a 5 inch driver with a tweeter would sound much better.

Is it possible to have a hotswitch between the Speakers and Heaphones?
hope its good,I dont use headphones anymore after seeing my friends baldspot that's weirdly shape like a headphone.
These speakers sound better two weeks in than they did when first opened. They do have a break in period.
Hi, if you where buying speakers now would you still go for them?
Ive been waiting for this

these speakers are all about aesthetics, and a front jack would ruin that.
You can always buy a headphone extension cable.
So I have a Mac doesn’t this mean I can’t customize the colors since I don’t have Windows ?
Could you do a review on the Razer Nommo Chroma Pro speakers, by the way your videos are so amazing and I love your reviews ;)
Wait - there is a LINE-IN and Headphone jack...but where does this get the config for chroma, EQ and such? Let alone power... o.O
Do they sound sharp?
you mentioned that when you connect a headphone the speakers automatically switch but when you connect something on the aux will it do the same? im planning on connecting this to my pc and and to a vinyl player and im hoping that i can leave the aux connected while im using my pc.
i bought them too and why does only 1 speaker work
3:25 how you open this tab?
and i have only the normal nommo speakers 2.0
Do they like tilt or they just stay in that position?
hey so can you give me the comparisons on both products I wanna know the difference between the 99 dollars and the 149 dollars
The $149 ones just have the rgb lighting
hey i want to use these with my mac monitors what do i have to download for them to work anyone much appreciated
Do you think you can setup the lights on PC then hook it up to smart tv
Dude i just got a 4k Monitor and holy omg all tech yourtubers videos are Amazing lookking
No mention of the USB connection?
Better than Leviathan ?
Anyone know what the name of the song is at 4:02?
Not the same thing. The $149 speakers also has a DAC and can connect with USB, the $99 doesn't have the DAC and connects only with a 3,5mm jack.
Should i get four of these or just buy the Logitech G560? I need help guys

whats the name of your white speakers in the back?????

I'm interested in sound quality and volume, do they have high volume for music?
Can these connect to a laptop
