Ryzen getting similar results using just a little over half the power compared to the Intel. Nice work AMD.
The fact that 7735hs is a renamed 6800h ( uses zen 3+ ) and manages to beat the 13500hx which is their latest offering from Intel , imagine how much better the 7840hs would be
@@technoleechso is the r7 7840hs better than the i5-13500hx in overall gaming fps performance?
Yes its fast as beast ❤❤🔥🔥
Intel have more performance obviously it will cost more power
As you can see intel always use lesser CPU usage. Always below 30-40% while Ryzen sometimes hit 60% CPU usages
70w İntel vs 40w ryzen
Great comparison, thanks Hubwood. Pls keep going on like-for-like setups and everything else you're doing.
I found it so interesting that the Intel cpu ate more wattage and it didn't affect the 4050 at all as a low power gpu.
This 4050 in my opinion is the true star of ngreedia's 4000 series - it actually brings something wonderful to the laptop scene. I'd love to see how the 4070 and above fare with Intel v amd cpus
ngreedia..🤣🤣💯💯
Thank you so much! I think would be useful showing the temperatures too
Wie sehen die CPU Temperatur sowie GPU Temperatur beim Lenovo aus ?
und von wo hast Du ihn bestellt ?
Danke
If amd 7840HS and intel i5 13500hx which one better? For rtx4060?
Can you please test the Asus TUF A17 on 20 games. I wanna see the laptop's capabilities on different settings from different games such as Cyberpunk, Red Dead and so on. 🙏
i think my 12900h + rtx 3060 scar 15 2022 have same fps with both of them? how about the heat management?
thanks for this!
Hi. Nice comparison.
How would you rate the new Lenovo legion? It s a good laptop like the previous generation?
I am preparing a Full Review. I hope i Can publish it next Week!
the outro music is really cool
Test tuf a17 ryzen 9 7940hs+rtx 4070 140w vs another laptop please?
This video was exactly what i needed, i've been looking to buy the new lenovo legion 5i pro, but i only could find video's about the most expensive version and not the more budget option. But u used the cheapest variant in this video so now i know what performance to expect from it. Thanks!!
I will publish a full review of the laptop hopefully by Sunday evening or Monday at least. Maybe even Saturday night. Sub so you won't miss it ;)
@@Hubwood thanks!!! And done! 😁
@@Big_Arn good decision 😜
I hope you didn't bought itc cause legion and intel together sucks.. If u take legion only amd is the right option
If a certain time passes over the 4000 series laptops, only positive and negative situations will be understood. So, can Lenovo Legion 5, Ryzen 5 5600H, RTX 3060, 16 GB RAM model be taken instead of ASUS? Lenovo is a laptop with positive reviews in terms of device quality, cooling, performance, etc. My purpose of buy, video rendering, and game accordingly so I would be glad if you give me the information.
Great comparison
I'm also impressed by AMDs performance, but let's be real, in ACTUALLY cpu bound scenarios like csgo and Valorant, the i5 would absolutely smoke the R7 because its basically a downloaded 13600K which has a lot more cache.
Hats off to AMD for making efficient chips tho.
Hi. Ford Photoshop, Lightroom and some gaming (God of War, ...). The two laptop have the same cost, is Better: I5 13500h - lppdr 16gb 5200hz - rtx 3050 6gb OR Ryzen 5 7640hs - lppdrX 16gb 6400hz - 3050 6gb? Is the difference in performance and CPU temperature noticeable?
You've been asking the same question in my other videos 💁♂️
Can have the temperature of cpu?
Keep up the good work.
Hello, when will lenovo LOQ review come?
I assume the tdp readings on AMD have been fixed? Seems like in HL, FC6 13500HX pulls ahead, but with how much power it draws can be argued overall perf/efficiency is a draw for gaming. Although, cores *do* go *brr* with the 13500HX. Also, liked the commentary in the beginning!
That's a different laptop. The issues where on the a16 with both amd cpu and GPU ;)
@@Hubwood Oh, because how Advantageous AMDs laptops are? Haha, thanks for letting me know!
TDP readings on FULL AMD laptops (both AMD CPU and GPU) are combined TDP watts for both CPU and GPU.
In the case of an AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU, no such situation exists. And its not really a bug. Just that, it really does divert power through the CPU power rails. People with Smartshift on will report a couple degrees hotter on the CPU than with Smartshift off
@@randomesteven3935 Great to know! 👍

why no temps?
Hey buddy I've got rtx 4070 and it's also stays at 80w even though it's 140w I've never seen someone talking about the issue or if there will be any fix or what's the reason for that , do you think there will be a fix like unlock the limit in vbios?
Hey there, I'm actually talking about this in this video so check it out!

Can you review asus vivobook pro 15 r5 5600h rtx 3060

what are the temperature values
What is the difference between intel normal h Vs hx CPUs like i5 13500h vs 13500hx. Thank u hubwood
X stands for "expanded" whereas extreme would fit better. They are the most powerful mobile cpus as of now.
H is based on Alder Lake architecture with Golden Cove cores, whereas the HX is full Raptor Lake with Raptor Cove P(erformance) cores under different process node and design. H-series CPUs have locked multipliers, cannot be overclocked and have lower power targets compared to the HX-series, which can be manually overclocked. It's likely that the HX CPUs with unlocked multipliers and the newest core designs will become a trend, to continue through Arrow Lake. Which is to say the 14th and 15th generation of Intel mobile CPUs might be called Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake respectively, but all of them won't necessarily have Redwood Cove cores. Lunar Lake, on the other hand, might not follow this trend, as it will be a from-the-ground-up and different µarchitecture.
Basically 4+8 vs 6+8 configs
can we use two different CL latency ram in one laptop? i want to upgrade
Yes you can. But the pc will use the lowest latency for all used ram sticks.
Besides the fact that ddr uses the lowest common denominator to set its values, unless the manufacturer enables xmp/expo through bios and the device doesn't default to jedec values, using a higher quality binned kit won't benefit your machine whatsoever. Since cl38 4800 kits cost like 15 to 20% more than the standard and more common cl40, I see no reason to swap the old one with a better one. You could add another 4800 cl40 ram to run in quad channel, but that's also not recommended due to memory training shenanigans. I'd suggest you buy ddr5 sodimm with a single slot in mind. It can be 5200 or 5600mt/s, whatever you can afford. Will give you some longevity for when you inevitably change laptops without having to purchase an extra pair of memory. Some manufacturers (usually Lenovo) might allow 5600 mt s for some ryzen machines, but it remains to be seen.
hi op, mind to share the vbios? of both?
I could listen to this on low volume as ASMR to relax tbh.
The track is Nimbus by eveningland. It's available for free at the UA-cam audio library!
Ntsc percentage please?
Woah, the Intel better perform better in games if its gonna be consuming up to double the watts to pull ahead.
Nice comparison once again, keep it up
One little detail is, that the 7735U is a rebranded 6800U, when the 6800U was nothing more then a 5800U + RDNA2 (instead of vega) + some power saving tweaks. So we are seeing 13th gen, vs Zen3 technically.
@@benjiro8793 nah. But 6000 was also Zen 3+ and on 6nm. Which increases efficiency and marginally better performance
I would like to see the CPU temperatures.
Intel is hot as it's drawing more power
There is no need to display temperatures as any gaming laptop will reach 100°C.
@@okyesanap Not every gaming laptop reaches 100°C.
@@semihartan yeah but Intel 12450h is 10nm arch it's surely hot
Please show the CPU temps too. Because i bought ryzen same cup with asus a16 and the temps reached more than 90 and throttled lot of times even after clearing the way for airflow. Yes Ryzen is faster but the temps are very high and even in old games it started throttling. I am using acer predator neo 16 now and the temps are always below 80

Yeah it happened and that's why I returned Asus and bought Acer

watch this one:
ua-cam.com/video/ZuLYyhC2_Oo/v-deo.html
TZhats pretty much what you asked for . The used 4050 is a 105W one. But they all just use around 85W no matter how much watt they are supposed to get. The 3060 is a 85W and won't be much slower than the 95W version. Maybe 2-3%... slower.
@@Hubwood There was someone in the comments who said that 140w rtx 4050 is much better than 95w rtx 3060. But I think 140w rtx 4050 and 95w rtx 3060 so close. Because performance of 105w rtx 4050 and 140w rtx 4050 is on the same line, 105w rtx 4050 is ahead in some places. What do you think about this topic?
@@TarcinliSutlac yes that is absolutely true. 4050 and 3060 are super close. 4050 has the benefit of offering dlss 3 and frame generation. But comes in more expensive laptops right now. But it's newer, might be supported longer. So it's not the easiest decision ;)
And where are the temperatures? 70 fps is not the same with 203 °F
than 70 fps with 167 °F
Why wouldn't that be the same? 😂

And I can see 140w rtx 4050 and 105w rtx 4050 performance same. Because they are work 85w
You shouldn't be upset. They perform almost identical.
@@Hubwood thank you very much, I’m relieved :)
@@charcan The 140w rtx 3060 is ahead of the 140w rtx 4050 as pure power. So it's close to my graphics card, rtx 4050. I say this with dlss turned off. Ryzen 7 7735hs is almost identical to ryzen 7 6800h. you should look at the single core performance of the i7 11800h and the ryzen 7 6800h because they are very close. 11800h ahead in CS at low settings. İ7 11800h 395 fps, ryzen 7 6800h 390 fps. you're cursing too much i7 11800h
Intel seems to have forgotten the function of laptops. Like the meaning of portability must have escaped their attention during the design of these 'mobile' chips or something. Holy mother of semiconductors. The power consumption of these CPUs are through the roof. Although I'm well aware that these two CPUs are in different classes of portability, all Intel ADL, RPL and ADL-R CPUs seemingly behave similarly across various power envelopes, in that they always consume more power than the AMD counterparts. The only exception to the norm was the Tiger Lake, and the P-series ADL and RPL CPUs, all of which have stronger ST performance. This begs the question: did Intel fall behind of AMD and Apple due to complacency and increased power targets at the expense of efficiency, or the latter two have progressed leaps and bounds ahead of Intel with MT and increased cache-focused topology?
I think Intel should stop focusing on x86, as it's clear that their designs aren't as efficient as neither ARM's nor TSMC's. I won't be surprised to see Nvidia beginning to eat away Intel's market share by the time Intel transitions to 18A, and become a top contender in the CPU space alongside AMD, despite their failure to acquire ARM last year. With the way competition has been shaping up between Apple and AMD, both of which have better designs than Intel, going forward, Intel might be forced to focus either on reduced instruction chip fabrication or leave the consumer space and divert their attention, effort and R&D towards HPC and DC.
good performance/power for the ryzen
7735HS (which is a 6800HS which is also a 5800HS) doing pretty well against that power guzzling 13500HX. Pretty sure real Ryzen 7000 (7045/7040) will beat it at even lower power consumption.
Actually it performs a bit better than the 6900HS
En arquitectura mejorada con el nodo de fabricación de 6nm tambien, mejorado de TSMC, las mas modernas 7045 con 5nm chiplet y 7040 con 4nm monolítico
Temp????
I like Ryzen because it's battery life, but they should give more cache to CPU. 16 MB in 3 generation sounds bad
please make RTX3070 vs RTX4060
How much Legion 5i pro rtx 4050?
1699 Euro
The 4050 TDP is higher with the ryzen which is a good thing really
Why wouldn't you show the temps mate? Temps are one of the most important aspects in a laptop for many reasons.
I'm not showing the temperatures on purpose. I only show them when I test a specific laptop. Why? Because temperatures don't mean anything in general when comparing GPUs. Because they depend on the cooling system of the laptop. Fan speed. Room temperature... And have nothing to do with the GPU.
A 140w Gpu can run cooler than a 45W GPU... Temperatures lead to wrong conclusions on these benchmarks. In my opinion. That's why I won't add them :)
BUT yes, in this case I should have shown them as it's more a comparison of two laptops. You're right here.
Is this with dlss on ? Im new to this stuff
If dlss is on I write that in the settings at the bottom.
@@Hubwood ok thanks, keep up the good work man!
Why don't you put cpu and gpu temperatures, bro?
Seriously, I don't say it with bad intentions.

But yeah, in this specific case I could have actually used them... As it's also about these two specific laptops.
@Hubwood Ok, tnx. Just glad that you keep making this informative videos for gaming laptops. Thanks.
Is it me or is the ryzen consuming alot less power?
Yes half the power for same performance
How much power are you consuming?
Is there something wrong with Intel power consumption numbers because no way it consumes 80-90w consistently
It does. It's the HX series. The x is for expanded, but could easily mean extreme aswell... It's basically a desktop cpu soldered on a mobile Plattform and has a short burst wattage of over 157w!
It's blazing fast Cinebench and work related benchmarks...
So intel consumes 50-80% more energy, but only in a few games gives you like 10% more performance. Most of the time its even.

Fact: AMD pulling 50% TDP less then intel eith almost same perf. Imagine both were running at same Wattage, Amd will wipe the floor with Intel.
As far I know,on higher power limit amd doesn't benefit much than intel
Except the hx I guess (and maybe the zen 4 hs)
❤
Can 7735hs handle 4060?
In most games, yes. In some scenarios it will be a slight bottleneck. Over the next 5 years this bottleneck will become bigger. You will be able to play with it, but you will have some compromises.
@@Hubwood should i go with 13500hx 4050 or 7735hs 4060? In my country price of this predator neo and tuf a15 respectively are quite close?
@@Anas_Arabi It's almost impossible to answer that.
The 4060 is more future proof due to it's bigger vram.
But the 13500Hx is ALOT faster than the 7735Hs in both SINGLE and MULTICORE Scenarios.
Depends on the game you play and what else you want to do with the Laptop.
If a game is more CPU Based, you need the faster CPU.
If you play mostly single player AAA Games the 4060 and 7735Hs combo COULD be better.
Really hard to tell.
The thing is, if the GPU is the bottleneck, you can always turn down graphic settings.
If the CPU is the bottleneck, you're f*cked.
;)

The Ryzen is really eco-friendly 😂
I5 vs ryzen 7 hs series duh, hx will consume a lot more
It is indeed! It also allows for much better battery run times than the i5! Will talk about it in the full review of the Lenovo legion 5 Pro
Ryzen 7735hs draws less power, should be cooler and is cheaper i guess. But AMD tricks consumers by renaming it to 7000 series. You get 2021 chip in 2023 laptop. Lots of software and games work snappier with intel due to better single core performance, also you can turn off cores and undervolt intel chip with no issues.
Yeah, finally the new Zen 4 Chips are available. I have a video about it. Check it out!
The problem with Ryzen is always its temp 😂 Not really suitable for long term use
No. 7000 series is designed by AMD to run that way. It's a safe temperature.
I think that is more an intel problem than a ryzen problem😅
