Ok so I decided to start taking collagen peptides, after 3 days I was itching like crazy and my scalp was itching like 🤯, I was itching do bad I couldn't sleep, I thought it was pollen because my right palm was on fire, I took zyrtecs and that helped, I said ok lemme stop taking collagen and I attended outdoor events,I wasn't itching, I decided the following week to take 1 scoop of collagen and the next day bam itching all over again and especially in my palm.I stopped taking it popped a zrytecs and in 2 days no more reaction. Am I allergic to collagen???? 😔
Hey! Thanks Kody! I am def working on it! I want to help people understand the ingredients they put on their body. If you have any suggestions on something you think people would like to see, let me know! I
Yeah, I plan to keep going with it! Cosmetics is a great place for self-discovery and exploration. I want this channel to be a place where people can learn and explore. Beauty is full of misinformation, so I do a lot of research so I am fact sharing as much as I can. Thanks for the encouraging words. You made my day!
Great Video! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard about - Poyliviat Wordless Predominance (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off product for learning what to eat to slow down your ageing process minus the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend after many years got excellent success with it.
I’m experiencing the same thing with using Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula cream My skin itch a lot with rash coming on it just by using this cream glad I came across this video
I personally have had a history with eczema - so I generally avoid cosmetics outside of soaps/shampoo. Not much of a make-up person, so I appreciate this channel! (Even then, they're usually marketed as hypoallergenic - like baby products.) Something kind of annoys me about the cosmetic industry is how vague "fragrance" is as an ingredient. Because it takes often a complicated cocktail of various other chemicals/ingredients to make the product smell like it does. And it's super opaque for consumers with sensitivities. I mean, I get it. That stuff tends to be very proprietary. Protects the brand - because it's extremely unique/identifiable/memorable (especially since scent is tied STRONGLY with memory/emotion). But still. Consumers deserve to know this kind of stuff. (It's a similar gripe I have in food industry with what they mean by natural AND artificial colorings/flavorings.) I know that was kind of a rant... but I think you might understand where I'm coming from here.
Rant away! I am hear to listen! When people comment, they teach me. I hear so many different perspectives. Purchasing cosmetics can be a harrowing process for those with cosmetic allergies. I experienced this recently, when I saw coworker moved to tears over a untrackable allergy that intermittently left her with hives. Tracking down the ingredients used can be really important in finding answers, and the guessing game is enough to wear anyone down. Transparency allows people to be informed and make better purchasing decisions. Change is hard, but it can be done. In fact, it's already starting to happen: www.cosmeticsdesign.com/Article/2017/08/31/P-G-discloses-fragrance-ingredients-in-personal-care-products. I've been wanting to do some videos on eczema for some time now. When I approach the topic, I'd love to hear more of your insights.
Thank you Aishwarya! Coming back after a bit of a hiatus. It felt really good to see your kind message. I'm really sorry you got skin irritation from cleansing. It happens to all of us! I'm guilty! We start to see good results and we say, "I want more of that!" 😂 I've learned the art of a good skincare routine is balance
I’ve been using cetaphil cream and it was great for my dry skin. Started using the lotion because someone gave it to me because it gave her a rash. I had to stop because it gave me a rash, itching and watery red itchy eyes .
I noticed I was having an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide when I applied it only to my chin and my whole face and neck became red and very ithcy, with some red bumps.
Hello dear again..i used sweet almond oil to Remove my sunscreen followed ny Cleanse me face cleanser..and today i tried it for the FIRST TIME and while massaging the oil my skin turned so red like it looked so sensitive....what am i suppose to do now ...my skin turns so red dear..i need your help 😭😭😭
A certain soap gave me a really red face , and it burned alot and looked like it started swelling it had baking soda and Something else in it , the worst part is that it doesn't say anything about it not being for kids :( I only start getting the reaction if I use it and It only happens On my face I was alright the first few times using it but then it started burning I put cream on my face that helped but then it burned again so aloe Vera gel , it soothed it for about a hour or two then I put more aloe gel on and it burned my face

It totally makes me happy too that you see value in my work!
You put so much effort into these videos, and it shows. They’re very well research and produced. It’s like SciShow, but for skin products. Love it!

If you become sensitised to a product for using it too long, can you take a break from it and use it again in the future?
This is so helpful TYSM😊
