- Studying from real life is a mandatory passage to improve at digital painting, and confronting yourself to tricky subjects is an awesome way to get better at it. Take a look at how I paint this very dense vegetation using Procreate

Final fantasy 8 music for the win
Awesome! I'm trying to practice my plein air and it really helps to see other artists at work! Thanks for sharing your process and your lovely work :D
Woahhh such a high quality video, I learned so much and had a fun time watching… thanks! Keep doing what you are doing!
Great! A lot to learn for beginner. If I make it as a 3 min mark that would be an achievement! Thanks Florian!
It's great to see you uploading videos, Florian. I've admired your work for a long time. Thank you for sharing
Thanks a lot Alex !
This is fantastic Florian, Im off to Gran Canaria in a weeks time and I'm going to try some digital plein air aswell!
🍃🌳💚
Man i really didnt expect the besaid ost from FFX x
It's so cool to have the opportunity to travel with artist Friends and make art together! Great video and art as always, my mind imagined Spyro run in your environment :)
Man! I like how you didn't try to exactly replicate the scenery but added your own creativity. It turned out to be amazing, you did a splendid job. Keep up the good work!
I'm SO GLAD this was done in a more diffused light situation. I've had nothing but overcast for Pleinairpril so far, and being pretty new to painting outdoors from life it's been a massive difficulty!
very nice vidéo !
Oh wow so this is how studies work! I always end up taking too much time on my line art ;-; Thank you for this! ^^
Heyy! love your works and thank you for the precious videos..
Thanks a lot for your comment !
Really helpful to see how you begin a piece, I always struggle with that with environments. It was also really fun to see some more shots of your life and what you're doing!
Also, I love the music of course!! I've always been afraid to use music that isn't copyright free since I thought it was an issue where youtube would flag your video for copyright issues. Is that not a problem for you?
Thanks a lot for your comment! About the music, Video game OST seems fine so far for me, even if the content ID strikes one of my videos it only means I can't monetize it. It would only matter if I had hundreds of thousands of views on my videos.. so for now I don't mind
@@florian.coudray thanks for letting me know! Glad we can both enjoy some great music then, haha
Ah super merci !
Thank you for your process. I'm just starting out and it's interesting to see how artists simplify things. That's something that fascinates me. I like big flash League of Legends splash art the most, but I'm always astounded by how very little detail can still clearly showcase the idea, while the brain pieces everything together.
That reference picture in particular would have been pure nightmare fuel for me, since it's so complex. That's something I find myself struggling with the most, when I try to study stuff. Be it environments, characters or whatever. You try to copy what you see, but with something as complex as foliage or rocks or trees or wrinkles, there is just too much little detail going on at the same time. And my brain is completely overloaded and overwhelmed. And when I try to break it down and group the small detail into bigger shapes, I fail to figure it out on my own. Therefore a video like this is truly helpful, because it shows that a tree can be made out of just three simple brush strokes and few dots. If it was standing on its own, it wouldn't maybe get the point across, but when you see it next to other simple trees and foliage and scatter stuff on the ground, you just know that you're looking at tree in a forrest.
Thinking about it now, you're right the subject is kinda nightmare fuel! My attention was so focused on the stairs and stone wall that I didn't mind it at first. When you mention that a tree can be made out of three simple brush strokes and it makes sense in the context of the whole painting, it's absolutely the important piece of info to get out of this video, thanks a lot for pointing that out!
