Yeah. It may be possible using larger antenna. Tower usage must be high at daytime in your area. I'm sure you can get more than 1mbps placing antenna on roof like mine.

Yeah. Shielding also could be a problem. How long is that cable. Don't use longer lengths because signal loss is high. Try using a 50ohm cable if you can find it.

Yes. Magnetic fields do generate over current conducting cable. It could interfere with your signals going through antenna cables. It is better to wire them few inches away.

it depends on the frequency you are going to reach. Because low frequency waves travel longer distance than high frequency signals. My router frequency is 2300mhz and distance between tower and my antenna is 5km

But some people use yagi antenna as outdoor unit because it has higher gain and omni directional antenna for indoor unit. Some commercial products has amplifier in between them. But you can try without a amplifier. I saw someone put an instructable on instructables.com without using amplifier.
Copying will not work for you. In my country this may be work because mobile 4g broadband supplied by 1800mhz. But 4g home broadband will not work cause it is using 2300mhz

How about a yagi antenna. They are not that big for 700mhz and has high gain compare to biquad. But they can't catch reflected signals better than biquad. you need to know which direction your signal tower at.

There is a link to dimension calculater in video description. You can use that to find dimensions for 850MHz. But for that low frequency antenna size could be very large.

May be your firmware is different. No idea about bypassing. But they must be in auto mode so i don't think you have any issue.

There might be huge daytime network traffic in your area. I think only your isp can give a solution for that. Using a larger antenna may help a bit.
