Watched this review last night... Picked one up this morning. Took it to the range and found it to be an absolute Shooter. Very accurate, perfect reliability for 200 rounds! Thanks for the great review! This is now my EDC!
I've owned the FNH FNX9. And it's been an amazing gun cycle's perfect never jams up really good quality came with three 17rnd mags 3 diffrent textured back straps in 2 sizes and it's fully ambidextrous and that a big plus for me being a Lefty just an all around great firearm.......
Carried one myself for a while. It was a solid choice. Still is. Single stacks weren't very popular when the FNS 9c cake out though. All we had was the g43 or kahr. Tech is getting better .
I've seen 6 fns9 handguns shot thousands and thousands of rounds with out failure. All over 10k for sure. One of which I know literally never got cleaned. They are solid guns. 4 were long slides 2 were standard full size..
I have an FN 509c in fde and it's honesty the perfect iwb carry for me. Easy to shoot, full Rail. Reliable. The reflex will make a good backup pocket gun . When I first got into pistols I liked Glocks a lot...then I learned about FN, HK, Walther,. Hell even Smith & Wessons are better quality
Sootch is the best reviewer, hands down. Looks like a great gun. I do wish reviewers would make mention of the type of rifling in barrels. It does make a difference in several respects.
Thanks Sootch After watching your review i purchase the FN Reflex i really like it . Trigger safety is behind inside trigger nice idea and its really a nice trigger. I really enjoy watching your gun reviews.
Another great review. Thanks sooch. The grip pattern made my decision. I have the 509 tac and these grips seem to be the very best in the industry as well. Surprising they can supply such a great grip in this size !
I review all guns with an open mind because everyone has different experience, hand size, hand strength, budgets and likes different small features that may or may not bother me in the least. I'm here to show you the latest and the greatest. If I don't like something, I'll send it back rather than trash it because I'm too picky. I also go through pros and cons plus compare it to similar handguns. If I only reviewed my personal preferences, it would be a short and boring video list. But, thanks for the comment Smitty
I’ve been enjoying mine so far. 200 rounds no problems. The trigger is nice, almost too light for a conceal carry in my opinion though. Working on getting used to it as I’ve only owned glocks prior to this. Otherwise I have no complaints, feels really good in the hand, not too jumpy when shooting and easy to carry all day.
It's kinda scary. You can squeeze off an extra round if you're not careful because that trigger reset is all the way out and you forget that when you try to find the take up for your next shot. . Happened to me within the first 30 rounds
I've been thinking about a g48. I conceal a g19 and it's getting uncomfortable cause I'm getting heavy 😂😂 so I need a smaller gun. And really like this
I carry the G 48. It’s nice and I carry it well, it’s maybe a bit long for comfort if carrying appendix so i primarily carry 4 o’clock. I carry g19 and g23 in winter OWB.
@drewschroeder6714 yeah I carry the g19 and the g42 appendix and the g19 owb as well in the winter. Was just hoping with the thinner profile it will be more comfortable. Just really like the idea of it being the same profile as the g19 cause the bigger grip is alot of real-estate to grab.
Thanks for reviewing this firearm and thank you for all your reviews. I think i value your thoughts when it comes to handguns above all other youtubers. From your reviews i feel like i am shooting that particular handgun myself. 5 Stars. I agree with all that was said about the FN in this review. I held the Reflex and Hellcat together last month and i preferred the feel and the look of the FN. Probably the best feeling handgun my small sized hands have held....i loved the sights on the Hellcat though, they got that horse shoe sight right on.
I'm probably going to make a video demonstrating my problems, but save your money for now. I'm getting weird primer bulges on some ammunition and light primer strikes on others. I've fired about 2300 rounds of 9 in the last year and this is the first gun to give me any problems at all
Thank you Sootch. Great fan of yours. Always loved the FN brand. Never leaned towards buying one for some odd reason. But you have persuaded me very well. Awesome review and keep on brother!!!
Just shot the FN Reflex at my range and I'm gonna pick one up, like what scootch said, it just fit well and the shooting..wow...10 yds was right on, the sights were right on as well as my grouping ...i wanted to stay away from the glock type frame but damn the FN Reflex felt so much better..i carry my Kimber micro 9 and swore it was the best mini edc...well....may be a good backup...great review thx
I almost bought the Reflex but since it's so new I decided to go with the Glock 43X in FDE. Family Firearms is having an amazing sale on the Reflex in FDE right now though.
Just hit 1000 rounds on our reflex with no malfunctions. The size is perfect for my wife and it shoots great. Super nice sights. Not really anything to complain about, except maybe that seating a mag on a closed bolt is kind of hard.
How does it shoot compared to say a Hellcat Pro or a Shield Plus? Im looking at getting the Reflex or a Shield Plus as my next piece after carrying my Pro for a while.
@@marvnation924 I found the hellcat harder to shoot, more snappy and the trigger had me pulling more rounds low left. The shield is comparable, I'd say the reflex is less snappy but not much. The trigger on the shield plus is maybe a bit better because the reset is shorter, but in defensive shooting I don't notice that anyway.
@@mattmurphy7030 Thank you for the reply. I have the same experience where I feel like the Hellcat shoots okay but for rapid accurate shots I have to death grip it. I'm definitely leaning more towards the Reflex. Thanks again.
For any defensive tool you look at -- remember this simple rule -- price out the cost of the magazines. Sure, you can get the tool for a smoking hot deal, but often you'll get shafted with the magazine cost.
Very true. You can almost buy two Glock mags for the price of one Sig. Don't consider the cheap PMAGs because that's just cheating (though they are great for training).
I love f&n. All their guns are quality. nice well made firearms . I have a 510 I love to death gonna get a reflex and soon after a honest to goodness high power.
I prefer a manual safety for appendix carry on micro-9 CCWs. The 365 and Hellcat offer this option but FN does not. To me this is a dealbreaker as its how I have trained on my other carry options. And I love FN products.
As much as I thoroughly enjoyed this review, I have yet to see one that mentions specifics on the internal safeties and how they work. I would love to find out more about that, especially since this pistol is supposed to be SAO.
I have one & it pretty much has the same saftey features that Glock pioneered & are now on every gun. This one being hammer fired hasn't really changed that. It has a hinged trigger & the same saftey plunger that you would expect.
Like very much the Glocks I have. But really a big fan of hammer-fired pistols. You bet I’ll take a close look at this one. So appreciate your reviews!
I've enjoyed all of your reviews over the years. Which gun has less snap, the Reflex or Mete MC9? Which of the two guns would you rather carry? I happen to be a southpaw. Thanks.
Just purchased a new FN Reflex and was surprised to find that the accessory rail is too narrow to accommodate my Mantis X-10 Elite, which fits my standard-sized accessory rail-equipped pistols!
Your reviews are the most in-depth and honest. I've been sold on FN's for some time...this could easily be my next purchase and just might be my main CCW. Living in the People's Republic of NY, I'm restricted to the 10 round mags. Still, it's FN. Thank you for taking the time to give an amazing review of this pistol!
Mine had problems re-racking the rounds while shooting even though I oiled it up nice a few days before hitting the range, did better with the 15 round mag for some reason but i had to smack the slide forward multiple times to complete the rack while firing
It's on my list to add to my arsenal, but waiting for the price to drop. The micro 9 world is flooded with options (great for buyers) so there should be some good deals on it (like FN's 5 mag packages) if you're patient.
That’s the case with almost every new firearm and it makes sense. Dealers and manufacturers make the most money they can until supply catches up with demand, and then the deals start.
I wonder what the thought process at FN was, by going with an internal hammer-fired setup, instead of a striker - like every other manufacturer?! Was it cost or reliability?
Getting married this year and my fiancee said after bills and a portion of our checks going into savings account that the rest is our play money. Never understood the don't tell my wife thing, I am still the man of the house.

I love the trigger
FN makes some of the best pistols period. I loved my FNX 45. Might just need to pick up this little Reflex.
Gonna try one of these. As always, if Sootch and Hickok don't like it, I don't buy it. Simple as that.
Sootch likes everything if you pay him. He will try to shoot a turd if you pay him,,and like it

I've been carrying an FNS 9C for years. 12+1 and a 17+1 extended mag. 5K+ rounds through it, no issues. Better than all the new micro 9s IMO
Carried one myself for a while. It was a solid choice. Still is.
Single stacks weren't very popular when the FNS 9c cake out though. All we had was the g43 or kahr.

A G18 mag fits in a G26.
Mine with bad sights on it that can't be adjusted
Once again I trust your judgment...just picked one up to add to my FN collection! Thanks for such a great review!
How has it been since youve bought it?
Same question. How’s it running??
FN definitely makes a quality firearm.
Best review on the fn reflex I've watched thank you
Mine was the first FN I’ve have owned. So far it’s working well
Sootch is the best reviewer, hands down. Looks like a great gun. I do wish reviewers would make mention of the type of rifling in barrels. It does make a difference in several respects.
I don't agree. A great reviewer will critique the product when it deserves critique. He doesn't ever. Only in it for the $$$.
Thanks Sootch After watching your review i purchase the FN Reflex i really like it . Trigger safety is behind inside trigger nice idea and its really a nice trigger. I really enjoy watching your gun reviews.
Explain the trigger safety if u dont mind. I cant find any info on it
Picking mine up in two days..itll be my first ccw..not new to firearms but new to having a ccl ..cant wait to test it out at the range!
Thanks for sharing your FN Reflex Micro 9 review. As an owner of the FN 509 since it was first introduced, I can vouch for FN Herstal products.

I like small guns but my Sig P365 was small for my big hands. I swapped the FCU from the original P365 into an XL size frame, and now it's just right.
Definitely on my list for EDC.
Best micro 9 I've tried.
Great flat shooting performance
love you bro but i find it hard to believe that you love every gun you ever reviewed.

The acoustics in that pool y’all are putting in is great. Hell the sound alone will sell it.
