Okay you did it again my friend. I've wanted that Berreta since it first came out. But unfortunately will never have the money to buy it. Your friend THE OLDMAN.
I fell in love with the M9. My brother who unfortunatly does not care for, clean, store and otherwise lets hisvgunscgo the hell in a hand basket, had a mouse chewed Beretta M9. I took the time to take it down. And restored it to functional and loved its feel, 15 round capacity, and its accuracy. Decided to buy my own. Came accoss an M9A4, new, in Ammo box. And got a good by. Its by far been the most accurate, well built. And 18+1, with 3 clips total. Threaded barrel, optics ready. Which I prefer the tritium night sights. And from 1st shot, knew mu collection was complete. Im small and purchased a Craftholsters rototilt shoulder harness, with 2 mag pouch, and its in perfect cross draw position very quickly. Use it for everyday CC, plus compact M&P 9 Shield Plus and a belt cross draw holster and also orders 2 extra 13 round magazines. Too much? Or ready for any situation I could find myself in. I have several different semi autos that will not be carried any more. But whether seat belted in my truck or on my motorcycle. I have quick access to M9A4 Or backup. And will have more than enough ammo, and highly tested, accurate pistol for anything I can imagine.
I have this handgun and it’s amazing. Extremely accurate. Great addition to the collection. Will get the Trijicon RMR HRS soon. Had a Holosun red dot but moved it to a Glock. If I had to get rid of all my pistols but 1, this M9A4 would be what I keep.
Best comparison review I’ve seen so far on the comparison of the M9 A4 vs its previous generation M9 A3; I just finally got to know the new improved decocking option
One comment on this vid. 8:27. My M9A3 does not have a safety, it is only a decocker. It automatically resets it's position after you decock. Beretta offered the A3 in both configurations.
I have an M9A4 centurion and I love it. One of the big things I have found with the magazines is that there are 2 types you can get from Beretta (cant really select) One is the thicker basepad like in the video, they are the gloss finish and Ive had a few problems with some of them getting wider when loaded and getting stuck in the gun. I had to send 2 back because of the problem. The other is a thin baseplate and marked Mec-Gar along the front (I believe both are made by Mec-Gar they just have slightly different designs). The thin baseplates have worked flawlessly for me and I think look a lot better in the gun. You can also tell the difference with the witness holes, the thick baseplate has 1 line of witness holes that show every other round, the thin baseplate have a witness hole for each round.
I'm not in Agreement. My Metgar mags have had failure to feed issues in 10 rnd capacity in my M9 however my 15 rnd this base plate just clicks right in and don't really have to pound her home. Plus they keep the dust out better.
Always wanted a Beretta, but I've bought every size of a 9mm pistol, from micro to full size and everything in between. Problem is I've bought them all within the last 4 years and they are all at the top of their game with excellent sights, triggers, and capacity. I don't have a race gun so am thinking about the Canick Rival S. Anything I buy now is a mostly a repeat of what I all ready have. But I am looking for something different & also better. So I keep watching & looking forward to my next buy, whatever that may be.
Part of the soft recoil is the weight, but I'd propose another part comes from 1) the comparatively low weight of the slide relative to the frame, 2) the length of travel of the barrel before affixing in the frame, 3) the depth at which the barrel makes contact with the frame because of the falling block and 4) the non-tilting barrel. There is a reason why Beretta adopted the P-38's falling block system, but on the downside the locking block is a part that requires maintenance.
@@reekz8089 That's not required. I've gone 800 rounds without cleaning and ran fine. The locking blocks are good for 15,000 - 20,000 rounds, but it is a part ($30) that needs to be replaced without a cognate in Browning locking systems.
Howdy Sootch, I just picked up my M9A4 today. It's a great gun and I'm very happy with it. Your review was an integral part of my decision to buy it so thank you. All that said you got one thing wrong. You do not need to remove the thread cap for disassembly.
Hearing about the mags and fogging of the red dot when suppressed made me happy I got the A3. Also I think I prefer the decocker like it is bc I’m a slave to my own muscle memory if that makes sense. That’s splitting hairs though. Good review!
Bells and whistles aside I'll stick with my M9 . What's nice is that parts will always be around till your heart's content. If only Beretta would make a compact M9 /92 the size of the Cheetah. The remake of the Cheetah 80X isn't worth the money when you can buy a 9 with the same money!!
I got myself one for my Birthday best gift I ever got absolutely the best shooting gun out of the box 100% reliability and was on from the factory, mags are even slightly easier than other hi cappers.
The Beretta 92 is an absolute legend - its so cool to the ultimate evolution. But dang that FDE color is hideous. I wish they would've made more of the green and grey models. I love my Beretta - will definitely get this one too.
Both M9A3 and M9A4 come with either standard safety or G Model decocker only so I’m not sure it’s technically an M9A4 “upgrade”. Great guns either way.
I am a huge Beretta fan. I have owned several stock Berettas and have heavily customized two. My personal view is the M9A3 is the pinnacle of Beretta's development. I believe that forward slide cuts ruin the looks of any pistol, from a 1911 Colt to a CZ75 variant and of course, any Beretta. While I am sure their latest M3-Ish gun is great, they do not have my vote in the styling dept.
I purchased an M9-A4 to add to my Beretta collection about 9 months ago. No optics plate(s) in the box. There was a note in the box that said you could register for a free mounting plate which they would contact you when it was available. Still waiting for Beretta to contact me. I do like that the M9-A4 comes standard with de-cocker only. However, I prefer the frame finish on the M9-A3. The M9/92 pistol series is hands down one of the best suppressor hosts made. Overall regardless of whatever Beretta M9/92 model you choose, probably one of the nicest feature rich 9mm metal pistols available today period.
Nice gun, I just looked at my local gun shop and price for M9A3 (so not even this new model) is € 2124 its cheeper in US then in EU, my country borders with Italy and its more than double the price ...
This is everything in a pistol that I dislike. DASA operation, heavy and wide. These things carry like bricks. 4.5 pounds after the first shot or from a cock lock position is terrible. And they don’t shoot so well. All of those crazy moving parts external to the gun and old design fully exposed barrel lend itself to inducing failure when the pistol is needed most. The US military had enough of these darn things and Beretta hasn’t changed much of anything. Very disappointing. Great review, Sootch, as always. Excellent content.
I bought two of these since I'm silly like that. I loved the 92x Performance carry optics so much I bought it twice and I do that with a lot of my guns. If I like it, I buy it twice. Yours are colored differently than mine. Mine are more bronze in color.
I think pinnacles in different tracks. The 92X perf has the sexier trigger job, holding them both back to back and running the action, I’d say it’s almost a personal preference on the trigger “feel”. The A4 has a much better trigger over the A3, feels very good and it’s so close to the 92X perf. The A4 is noticeably lighter however. The A4 is also RDO ready, the 92X Performance doesn’t look like it has it? I think I like the finish of the performance model though. My local store had them for under $100 difference, overall I went the A4 holding them in both hands. the trigger suited me more, i wanted the lighter full metal frame and threaded barrel, I live with the slide decocker and the 50 shades of FDE.
@@dalejustins7117 I have no idea why anyone would want a decocker (only) on the frame. A safety/decocker I can definitely agree, but I don't understand why someone would want a decocker in the way of their grip.
Has a owner of Berreta pistol, i can say that this brand have great reputation, tradition, history and of course quality ! But i am curious to know why actually this model, do not come on caliber 10mm auto or 45 acp, which would be awesome.

Another great video! Thanks Sootch00!
One comment on this vid. 8:27. My M9A3 does not have a safety, it is only a decocker. It automatically resets it's position after you decock. Beretta offered the A3 in both configurations.
As Beretta fan, I love ❤ the comparison in detail. Great video 👍
Need this
Been looking at the Beretta, HK USP, and CZ P-01. Probably one of the best reliable handguns
The Mec-gar mags are worlds better than the OEM Beretta mags. (18 rounders) And I buy them brand new for less than $25 each
@@teelowteelow356 that's your opinion!! Even Sootch said OEM is more to his liking
@@enricomandragona163 cringe, boomer
@@enricomandragona163 Could have something to do with the capacity, all of mine are 18 rounders and the Mec-gar have been far better than the OEM.
Great review, I really like the looks of this gun!
Just clean the gun every time you use it. Aloha
@@reekz8089 That's not required. I've gone 800 rounds without cleaning and ran fine. The locking blocks are good for 15,000 - 20,000 rounds, but it is a part ($30) that needs to be replaced without a cognate in Browning locking systems.
I absolutely love this pistol
You can never go wrong with an oldest firearm industry in the entire world!!!
Great breakdown. No need to take the thread protector off though, there’s a reason it can cycle without the need to do so. Keep up the great work!
Howdy Sootch, I just picked up my M9A4 today. It's a great gun and I'm very happy with it. Your review was an integral part of my decision to buy it so thank you.
All that said you got one thing wrong. You do not need to remove the thread cap for disassembly.
As Always well done. I really need one of these to add to my insane armory. Sheesh when will it end!!!
At 4:10 neither the 92s nor the 92f have the safety on the frame. An easy misspeak, but some people don't know.
Beretta always will have beautiful weapons
Great review! I have the LTT Elite RDO 92G , and I love it! The A4 is awesome!
Best suppressor host ever made. Period. Yes, better than any HK. Period. I've owned or own them all. This one is by far the most reliable ever made.
Like my late dad said: is gringa, made in the USA, pure quality kid!
I love that pistol. Thanks for breaking all it has down for me in this video.
Hearing about the mags and fogging of the red dot when suppressed made me happy I got the A3. Also I think I prefer the decocker like it is bc I’m a slave to my own muscle memory if that makes sense. That’s splitting hairs though. Good review!
how does the A3 deal with those issues better?
Bells and whistles aside I'll stick with my M9 . What's nice is that parts will always be around till your heart's content. If only Beretta would make a compact M9 /92 the size of the Cheetah. The remake of the Cheetah 80X isn't worth the money when you can buy a 9 with the same money!!
Best beretta 92x performance is my favorite beretta for now...
I've convinced myself that I need one.
Thanks Sootch, Im in Clemson, I really appreciate what you do.
My all around top pistol! I'd take this thing anywhere
I got myself one for my Birthday best gift I ever got absolutely the best shooting gun out of the box 100% reliability and was on from the factory, mags are even slightly easier than other hi cappers.
I love the 92 series, it's one of my favorite guns. 👍👍
Thank you very much and I am it! That was very informative! 😎👍👍
I'm a Glock guy..
But in my opinion there isn't a comparison between a work of art like this.
All guns have their place..
Thank you for an excellent video! Answered many questions I had about the A4.
The Beretta 92 is an absolute legend - its so cool to the ultimate evolution. But dang that FDE color is hideous. I wish they would've made more of the green and grey models. I love my Beretta - will definitely get this one too.
I prefer the black Bruniton finish myself. I don't foresee myself in the desert any time soon.
Both M9A3 and M9A4 come with either standard safety or G Model decocker only so I’m not sure it’s technically an M9A4 “upgrade”. Great guns either way.
Just got mine today! I'm very happy with it so far!
Still my biggest regret when selling a gun. A Beretta 92 that I shot better than my 1911 at the time.
Own one and I absolutely adore it!!
You don't have to take the thread protector off! It's flush. Great review as always Sootch
This will be my next 9mm.
I appreciate Sarah Mac's recoil comments.
Your videos are great, but the music while you are shooting....
EPIC
Thanks Al~ 🙂
I've shot the M9A4, and it's awesome, but I'd have to give the "Ultimate" M9/92 title to the 92G Wilson Combat Brigadier Tactical.
Truly an Italian Stallion!!!❤️💪🏼🇺🇸🇮🇹
Aaayyee 🤌
I want one of these so badly
Me too, but unfortunarely, i live in Brazil.
Love my m9A4 centurion, great video
Have you found a holster yet?
@@phillipmoore316 I went with a Vedder holster, great company that makes very nice kydex holsters.
Nice Pick, Very Impressive Review as always. showcasing this Goddess version of Beretta. 😍
Hell what a damn nice Gun.
I bought two of these since I'm silly like that. I loved the 92x Performance carry optics so much I bought it twice and I do that with a lot of my guns. If I like it, I buy it twice. Yours are colored differently than mine. Mine are more bronze in color.
Whenever I’m interested in buying a gun I come to sootch to see what he thinks before i buy.
I always thought the 92x performance was the pinnacle of the 92 series. Its the one id buy.
It is.
You dont have to remove the threadprotector to disasembly! (M9A3)
You don't have to on the A4 either.
Great video! really cool pistols !
Old M92FS contours looked better to my eye, but to each their own :)
Has a owner of Berreta pistol, i can say that this brand have great reputation, tradition, history and of course quality !
But i am curious to know why actually this model, do not come on caliber 10mm auto or 45 acp, which would be awesome.
Its always metal and hammer fire guns because they never disappoint
Sometimes Glocks have issues of light strike they also have more muzzle flip than compared to m9 in 9mm and manuel safety and decocking also comes in handy
Love my M9A4. However, Beretta never sent any optics plate and I had to go aftermarket. Mounted up my Holosun EPS Carry quite nicely. :)
In my opinion the best pistol ever made
