@rhysmc3926 just change it looking for a duo instead of playing solo. I have no trouble finding teammates in match making and I play at the low traffick hours from like 4-6 am
Two things, do not be afraid to die, it gives you time to learn. Second thing, sometimes you just cannot get an advantage, especially as a solo, so sometimes you have to give up on getting the bounty. Depending on playstyle, surviving even without a bounty, you can get some awesome perks to make the next match much better.
This guide is so helpful. Starting a new game can be a bit overwhelming, especially with a game like Hunt: Showdown. I feel like the tutorial does a good job of teaching you the mechanics but your guide really gives a more in-depth explanation to a lot of other core concepts in the game. Thanks for the guide

Very good and informative video! Would love to also see a mention of spear crazy effective against any pve in the game (as well as pvp) and a sticky bomb for almost all bosses as its the easiest way to kill bosses if you are not familiar with them Also some minor stuff like immolators can be choked out and oil in the loot on the map section But honestly this video is a god's gift for any new player, keep up the good stuff!

What you didn’t talk about in the health section is why when I’m damaged and my med bars go invisible instead of black, It won’t let me heal back to full health even if I have a med kit.
This is essentially the same thing as when you die and get back up you lose one of the bars. Aka it's invisible instead of black. You can also lose these by burn damage so if you are on fire and don't stop it in time. I apologize if I wasn't clear or left part of it out. But your going to need to get a boss banish to restore those health bars and or have pledged yourself to the lawful pact and loot an enemy hunter. However you won't lose one of your health bars by just being damaged. Has to be burnt off with fire
Dude i had the ps4 version like 5 years ago maybe longer and didnt know the upgrade was free or even a thing til today. I was wiping trios solo lol we wiped 2 duos and 3 trios tonight and had alot of fun. What a game man
Great video with some slightly inaccurate points. Still great for beginners. One for example is the hell born drops burn traits not scarce traits as mentioned around 11:30
He mostly drops scarce traits. They're burn traits as well as scarce traits. The only one he drops that isn't a scarce is necromancer. But I did add in txt on the screen that he drops necromancer as well during that portion. So yeah wrong in the sense I should have said he drops both scarce and burn traits.

Just started the game and loving it. After a successful extract me and my buddy had some red numbers on the hunter screen (2/4) near the traits. What are these? I couldnt find the answer unless I wasnt looking in the right place.
Those are your pledge marks. They're what you can spend from the event points you earn. Watch the end of the video where I talk about the event after the traits and that will teach you what you can do with these.

Soul Survivor will make you better. Forces you to use whatever weapon you find, helping you learn how to adapt to different play styles. You also learn to use the environment to your advantage. Be quick, but be quiet. If you can't be quiet, be even quicker.
@@brandonknight5718 essentially pledge marks are from the event and the currency you can spend in game on event exclusive items. At the orange circle on the map in the middle of the caves there is things to purchase with your pledge marks. You can get 1. A medkit that restored all of your teammates healthbars. 2. A potential spawn for a box that has a rifle in it, scoped rifle, or a shotgun. 3. A master clue that shows you what compounds the bosses are at. 4. An xp boon that gives you 2000xp. 5. A 4 shot boon that gives you all of the consumable shots in the game (vitality, Regen, stam, and antidote). 6. A dark sight boon that refills your dark sight. 7. Cash register. All of these have a black seal on them and glow white in dark sight when your close to them. They all cost 1 pledge mark to purchase. You can get pledge marks by looting your first hunter, banishing a boss, and getting to 30 event points. Max you can get is 3 pledge marks in one game UNLESS you have pledged yourself to the lawful pact and also have frontiersman on your hunter (which is a 7 point trait). Hopefully this helps you and I do apologize for not responding quicker. If you have any follow up questions lmk
thanks for these tips. Also what are the best ways to kill each boss ? wasted ammo in both my weapons and couldn't find any ammo. Thankfully extraction was right next to boss so I got out pretty easily.
So melee is going to be the best way to kill bosses outside of throwing sticky dynamites on them. Would you say you'd be interested in an in depth guide on killing all of the bosses? I can try to make one. But generally speaking your going to want to use world melee items if you can find them. Bayonets on your guns work good as well as the talons, trauma variants and essentially any of the big rifle melee attachments. Certain melees though do more damage to certain bosses if that makes sense. Blunt damage like the hammers, trauma variants, are going to be the best for the assassin and work really well for the spider and butcher. The piercing melee options like the saber, katana, bayonets, ripostes, are going to be great against scrapbeak, good against the all bosses, don't use blunt damage on scrapbeak though it's not great against him. And the spear is really solid for most all bosses as well. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask and stop by my streams and ask there as well. I am really confused by the new menus. I still haven't found out where i can see my unlock progress of a gun variant. It only says earn X amount of XP, but not Y / X amount reached or something. I also haven't seen that number decrease. Maybe I am stupid, but was anyone else wondering about that?
@@SecretOfArctica so I did find it if you go to select a gun in the menus and click on the gun. Then press space. There should be a button for the unlock tree. If I'm getting it wrong then try to go to the arsenal tab at the top. Then find your gun and try clicking on it then pressing space. I think one of these should work and also I'm at work at so I can't look at it

The burning on any player reduces and removes the players health chunks. Once they're completely burnt out they cannot be revived without someone holding a bounty token on their team and sacrificing their own health bars for the one being revived. hope this helps

I have a funny question and dont know if someone here has the answer, cuase i've been looking in all the places and cannot found an explanation My buddy and i star to play this game again about a week ago, in xbox series s, while i was cheking the store saw a few cool hunters dlc and it gets downloaded in the console by default even if you didnt buy it; after a match I received a reward with the dlc character, I didn't buy it because I don't even have a card associated with my Xbox account. Does anyone know if it's possible to get the DLC characters that way? Or did I just have a lucky bug? Ps. Thx for the video, it was really helpful

Fun game but there’s no reason I (lvl 7) should be facing people that are prestige 62 especially when my teammates are also sub lvl 7. Some noob lobbies would be nice until I figure out the game some at least

Do not buy if you have not bought it, do not buy a $400+ console to upgrade if you bought it on consoles. Demand an offline mode for the system you bought it on and wait until the game adds back in the 3 maps it removed only to replace it with engine updates and one map. You take away content, include no PvE, remove access for people on older systems who paid for it and don’t have the nerve to give them an offline mode? You are worse than Overwatch 2 at that point. That game at least added content, made it free and let everyone still play it on all systems they bought it on before. Fuck you any company doing this to players. Digital only live service media is a scam. You pay for access to something that charges you more to get advantages over others. It’s disgusting.
Fair point... Definitely would've been nice to have an offline mode for people that don't have the new consoles. But if they amount of people that would be in that boat do you really expect them to do that?

You can get pledge marks by looting your first hunter, banishing a boss, and getting to 30 event points. Max you can get is 3 pledge marks in one game UNLESS you have pledged yourself to the lawful pact and also have frontiersman on your hunter (which is a 7 point trait).

thanks for these tips. Also what are the best ways to kill each boss ? wasted ammo in both my weapons and couldn't find any ammo. Thankfully extraction was right next to boss so I got out pretty easily.

So melee is going to be the best way to kill bosses outside of throwing sticky dynamites on them. Would you say you'd be interested in an in depth guide on killing all of the bosses? I can try to make one. But generally speaking your going to want to use world melee items if you can find them. Bayonets on your guns work good as well as the talons, trauma variants and essentially any of the big rifle melee attachments. Certain melees though do more damage to certain bosses if that makes sense. Blunt damage like the hammers, trauma variants, are going to be the best for the assassin and work really well for the spider and butcher. The piercing melee options like the saber, katana, bayonets, ripostes, are going to be great against scrapbeak, good against the all bosses, don't use blunt damage on scrapbeak though it's not great against him. And the spear is really solid for most all bosses as well. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask and stop by my streams and ask there as well. I am really confused by the new menus. I still haven't found out where i can see my unlock progress of a gun variant. It only says earn X amount of XP, but not Y / X amount reached or something. I also haven't seen that number decrease. Maybe I am stupid, but was anyone else wondering about that?
@@SecretOfArctica so I did find it if you go to select a gun in the menus and click on the gun. Then press space. There should be a button for the unlock tree. If I'm getting it wrong then try to go to the arsenal tab at the top. Then find your gun and try clicking on it then pressing space. I think one of these should work and also I'm at work at so I can't look at it

whats the purpose of burning enemy players bodies aura
The burning on any player reduces and removes the players health chunks. Once they're completely burnt out they cannot be revived without someone holding a bounty token on their team and sacrificing their own health bars for the one being revived. hope this helps

My buddy and i star to play this game again about a week ago, in xbox series s, while i was cheking the store saw a few cool hunters dlc and it gets downloaded in the console by default even if you didnt buy it; after a match I received a reward with the dlc character, I didn't buy it because I don't even have a card associated with my Xbox account. Does anyone know if it's possible to get the DLC characters that way? Or did I just have a lucky bug?

@@Valkeeey MMR is match making rating and essentially is how your matched up. I did explain in this video but yeah they're isn't any explanation in game to my knowledge outside of showing the stars you and the enemies are.

Do not buy if you have not bought it, do not buy a $400+ console to upgrade if you bought it on consoles. Demand an offline mode for the system you bought it on and wait until the game adds back in the 3 maps it removed only to replace it with engine updates and one map. You take away content, include no PvE, remove access for people on older systems who paid for it and don’t have the nerve to give them an offline mode? You are worse than Overwatch 2 at that point. That game at least added content, made it free and let everyone still play it on all systems they bought it on before.
Fuck you any company doing this to players. Digital only live service media is a scam. You pay for access to something that charges you more to get advantages over others. It’s disgusting.
