Back when entertainers entertained without trying to tell everyone how to live. I remember when this came out and how fun and catchy the hook was. Even danced to it a few times. With no alcohol involved. 😮😯😲😳😱😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Every time a song from my past, I always reflect to where I was, and what I was doing... This song came out during my last year in service, when I married... We were opposites, but we shared some good times. It was also a time when people seem to smile more as well.
I could watch Paula tap dance for hours 🫠🖤.. she was always the dancer first, & this is always cute! Ty, u sound like Layne!!! He constantly tells me he is OVER 80’s corny endings & seeing things be cutesy, ha.
Do “Straight Up“, if you can find a version where Arsenio Hall is not blurred out of it. And also find out why Arsenio Hall is blurred out. I would love to know.
Because they dated during that time and haven't been friendly until recently. See if you can find the clip of when she first appeared on The Arsenio Hall show. Lots of awkward moments.
I will be showing my age when I tell you the first cartoon integrated with people movie that my Mom took us to see was Disney's Song of the South. James Baskett who played Uncle Remus, well, I wished he was my Uncle such an amazing actor. Zip - a -dee - doo da - I think my Mom regretted taking me to that movie because I constantly sang that song. You and your wife are half way there, so keep doing what ya'll doing and you will make it through. Spot on impression of Paula when she was a judge on AI🤣Skat Kat is Derrick Delight Stevens. Fun reaction thank you
I remember that one, I would have to look up release dates, but I believe there was an older Disney film staring Don Knots where he is transformed into a sonar disrupting fish. I remember laughing with my grandmother watching that one. We grew up in a special Era in my opinion.
@@lemhanback9595 I think you are remembering the movie The Incredible Mr. Limpett, which is also a great movie !! We did grow up in the BEST era. Stay safe and healthy
@Debi B. lol yep that's the one. Best wishes for you and your family as well. Btw looked them both up and didn't realize how old Song of the South was 1946 way before my time, but thanks to TV before cable or satellite, still a part of my childhood. Mr Limpett released in 1964
I love this video because it took a lot of work and imagination to dance with a invisible cartoon character. That was MC Skat Kat! She got the idea from a movie starring one of her dance idols, Gene Kelly, when he danced with a mouse! Paula Abdul had a string of hits in the late eighties/early nineties and she was a wonderful choreographer who worked with many musical acts including Janet Jackson and her brothers, The Jacksons.
I Believe the idol time you were taking about, she was in pain meds. She has severe back problems with surgeries from dance injuries. She lost height after her back surgeries.

This cut was the jam!!! Early 1990 big #1 hit!
Paula Abdul was choreographer for the Lakers
And early Janet Jackson videos, like NASTY, that she appears in.

You must check out Paula Abdul's COLD HEARTED SNAKE.
Paula Abdul was originally a Lakers girl and then she became a choreographer for Janet Jacksons videos. She was quite the dancer to begin with.
1:35 You sounded just like Kamala there.
That was from the 90s if I'm not mistaken and I loved when that first came out and I was hubba hubba for Paula when it came out
Love that video! LOL
