I don't understand why you remove the Shroud and the key switch it's totally unnecessary just remove the two 8 mm screws from the airbag unclip your wires and remove the t-50 bolt. Also the Ford shop manual says it's only necessary to remove the cable and let it sit for 1 minute but I agree better safe than sorry. Again though there's no reason to remove anything except the 8 millimeter bolt covers behind the airbag and the T 50 Torx Bolt
I think they show it this way because if a tool slips it could scratch the neck pieces or doing something wrong and cracking the plastic. For people used to things like this, they have a better understanding of what NOT to bend and pull lol. So, unnecessary to remove it. 🙂
True because really there's no need to remove any of those plastic pieces
I suggest hitting brakes and/or turning on head lights after disconnecting battery to remove and electricity in the system that could make air bag deploy.

Why did you take the shroud covers off? It was unnecessary.
+InternetDude It it much better for filming, as it gives the viewer much better visibility!
If you re-watch the video, you'll see that the shroud does not in any way impede visibility. I would argue that it's bad advice to tell Joe Public to remove the ignition cylinder, if they drop it or turn it while it's out it can be a bad day for them.
Why did you take the ignition switch out?

Can it be adapted to a Ford Ranger 2002 XLT? I think that steering wheel looks better.
