New Airbag Clock Spring from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AST...
This video shows you how to install a new clock spring on your 1997-2003 Ford F-150. The clock spring is what connects the various electrical components in your steering wheel to the vehicle’s electrical systems. One of the best repair videos. Very detailed, excellent commentary and video.
It would be awesome if everyone had the same attention to detail like you do. Nice!
Great camera work! I loved the close-ups from different perspectives. Also, I love any repair that has 'bang on it' included in the instructions.
Perfect video. Just replaced my steering wheel switches and clock spring on my 1998 Ford Expedition. The cruise control did not work for 10+ years. The problem was 3 broken wires on the clockspring connector under the dash. Thanks for the video I could not have it with out you.
Great video! Thank you 🙏
Ooh, okay. So auxillary horn switch it is then.
Thanks a lot from Dominican republic
Which wire on the clock spring is for the horn and which is for the airbag?
Please forgive my ignorance. What does the clock spring actually do? Is it actually needed to operate the blinkers? I only ask because I'm trying to turn one of my trucks into a toy and if there's things I can do without at like to know. Thank you so much for your videos in advance and I really really appreciate your time
would a bad clock spring cause a clicking noise while turning the wheel?
very good video, clean job
Will the 1999 f150 clock spring work on the 1999 expedition?
Hoping to get some advice, I’m trying to fix my horn on my 02 f150, the horn has never worked, and I’m thinking I’ll have to do this after checking the fuse and relay. Sounds about right?
What I would like to know though, my steering wheel has never been lined up correctly since I’ve had it, would this be the correct way to align my steering wheel the same as my tires?
I just changed mine and I get a slight clicking when steering. Horn and cruise control work though. I accidentally turned the steering wheel a hair while replacing and it made a click and moved a little more freely. Do you think I broke it or is the slight click normal?
Would a bad clock spring make my steering wheel lock up when turning?
Would the clock spring stop the horn from working
+Casey Johnson It is possible that can affect the horn.
It is easier to unscrew the bottom plastic cover, then remove the ignition switch...
+Melissa Dennison We appreciate the feedback. Sometimes there are multiple ways to accomplish the same repair. 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
everything is "kind of" according to this guy. lol
What if the steering wheel is stuck in lock position you can't turn the key?
very nice video,well done
