Im on a 3.5 drop in the front and have the same problem but I’m just scared that it will cause positive camber now. Would recommend 4”+ ?
Dude would you know what size bolts I could use for the balljoint, mine broke off and my truck is on the side of the highway
I have a question for you did you use stock spindles or drop spindles , cause last night I tried installing them and the ball joint wouldn’t go fully into the spindle so I couldn’t tighten the lower bolt

I replace upper control arms I need a ball joints now do you know the part number for the ball joints at spindle source
I like how you said it wasn’t hard like as if you actually did the work. Lol looks good but you’ll get a better feel for this once you start doing your own suspension work
Can you get an alignment if the camber pins fell out?
Does your front rims touch the upper control arms on a full turn ?
Do they sell just the ball joints for those upper control arms if they do, do you know the part number?
I have 3 inch springs and 1 inch strut will it fix my camber?
Great video, I’m new to the slammed game and of course want my truck to ride factory as possible. I’m running a 3/5 on a 18 Silverado crew. My driveshaft is slapping the undercarriage “possibly shocks”? I have factory with extenders now but drop shock are on the way. Thanks for any feed back.
Hey thanks for the great comment & is your driveshaft hitting like in the middle of the cab on a little piece of metal? If it is your gonna have to cut that out of the way to give your driveshaft some room or at least notch it a bit. Idk if you understood that lol but let me know & I will try to explain it better
@@la_hotchetto332 so It ended up being my exhaust pipe running over the rear axle. So that’s good, now I have to figure out my pinion because the shaft vibrates around 50mph.
Oh okay lol glad you found the problem.. and yeah make sure your drive shaft and diffenatal are straight and in the right spots that can cause it

I have the same thing but on an 04 4x4 and I can’t find any upper control arms
I just dropped my obs and I noticed camber on it aswell, can i just replace the upper control arm or do i have to replace upper and lower control arms?
No you don’t have to, you can only change the upper control arms if you want that will fix your camber like I did & also as long as the control arms you use/buy are for CORRECTING camber that will fix your issue
where did you get the grille
actually the other camber kit with the holes are way better the the stock ones if you think about it the slotted ones can move over time as the others are locked in place by the pin

No not at all these upper control arms don’t mess with your suspension at all they are only to fix camber if you have stock control arms if you use spindle/springs or struts to lower your front end the only way it will mess with your drop is if you have drop control arms
Hey bro I installed 2” spindles and the lowering shocks as well so I have a total of 5” drop in the fron.. if I do install these control arms will it go lower?
No if you buy the exact same control arms as me it won’t lower your truck at all they are Not for lowering they are just made to fix bad camber

Yea bro the control arms in the video are to help you fix your camber with that kind of drop they are upper control arms... the bottom ones are stock oem ones thoes don’t matter but yes if you get the ones I did they will help you get the wheels aligned
Just installed these on a 2018 Silverado crew. If you run factory 20” they will rub on the inner weights and rim.
Is that a problem your having? Because that shouldn’t be happening the smallest wheel size you can run in any drop truck is 18” it says it right there in your drip spindles so 20” rims and up would be perfect for any dropped truck
@@la_hotchetto332 yes, it rubs but I’m going to have sticky weights installed inside rim to see if it’s just the weight.
I had these on my truck. They are really meant for over 4 inch drop up front. I had 3.5 drop on my truck and it had too much positive camber. I then switched to moog adjustable ball joint arms
Hmm that’s odd bro because am way lower then 4” in the front and I didn’t get any positive camber or negative for me it was exactly perfect I don’t know what the redone might be but for me they are great and and positive camber is always Berger then negative lol 😂

The struts I have are from McGaughys there adjustable to raise or lower the truck & also belltech is another company that makes the same strut both brands are good

Currently in the process of dropping my truck. So using only lower control arms for a drop and no uppers can also cause camber? Or would I be good without uppers until I order new ones
Yes no matter what way you drop your truck you will have camber if you don’t want to Zero camber your gonna have to order a lowering kit that comes with both upper and lower control arms... or you can do what I did I used springs and spindles to drop the truck and then only bought the upper control arms and now I have perfect alignment hope that answered your question if not lmk.

Oh okay well first I would make sure you received everything you ordered and that the company didn’t forget to send the upper control arm.. but yes you would be fine you can go ahead & lower your truck With the parts you got and latter on you can order the upper arms so you can get better camber but if your gonna buy new ones make sure the control arms your gonna buy is for (lowered trucks) not stock control arms there different
use IHC suspension kits cost money but I dropped my 12 silverado crew cab and no alignment problems everything nice and straight I have 4/6 and it drives factory but it does cost a lot
I can also still do u turns etc but it’s only 4/6 so it’s not low low but IHC is badass even customer service is coo hope u finds what’s best

I got them off a guy from Facebook bro who installs drops and he sent them to me because he had a few laying around

I don’t think so I just looked up kyb since I never had them and the rings they use look a bit different kyb has a smaller hole but I could be wrong I ain’t to sure
And I got them off Facebook I asked in a group/forum page were other people have the same truck as me and someone sent them to me but it you need some try asking in group pages or shops that do aftermarket suspension

Yea no problem bro glad to help👍 and the rings for the struts they were necessary for me because thoes rings give me my drop that is how I can adjust how high or low I wanna have the truck but that is something different that won’t help with the camber

How do you know which one is left and right ?
It is stamped on the control arms bro they usually have a letter L or R telling you for witch side it’s for.... OR if it doesn’t have it you can still tell right away for witch side it is because both of the control arms don’t look the same so you can’t install them incorrectly bro

Also I noticed you have headers if I’m not mistaken....did you connect the o2 sensor and got it tune to remove the engine light?
I want to get some but I’m afraid it won’t pass emission or does it pass emission just not the Visual?
Yea bro I have headers and I do have all my o2 sensors connected but I did get a check engine light because of it so you will need to get a tune forsure and you will pass smog only if your tuner is good and cancels the o2 sensors out and here were am from (Vegas) we don’t do a visual test so I pass but if your in California or somewhere like that you won’t pass it or unless you have a hook up for a Hot smog
How these control arms holding ? I’m thinking about dropping my truck more using these arms but I haven’t seen any on a dropped truck
They are great I haven’t had any issues or complaints with them and they been on for a while now and I daily the truck they are good
But don’t you have to go back and change the spindles and springs to stock if you get lowered control arms

No I don’t think they will fit the whole taillight is a different shape and that’s weird did you try looking for them like this (2010 Silverado taillights) that’s how I found them on eBay

It depends what material your control arms are made out of and according to the description of the company they fit 07-2017

It should because the only way to adjust your camber is through control arms you would have to check if the control arms you have now are Straight if not then you should get these and that will correct your camber
