The Shooting Show - Foxing on a farm shoot, a classic pheasant day PLUS squirrel control with FX

- In this week's show, Tom Gosbell heads out to protect his young pheasants and ducks on his small farm shoot in Warwickshire, utilising the Pulsar range of thermal spotters and scopes to make the task as efficient as possible.
Then, Jonathan McGee takes on Whitbourne Estate in Worcestershire, a traditional pheasant shoot with some wonderful steep valleys and rolling hills.
Finally, Mark Ripley takes the FX Impact M3 out for a bit of squirrel hunting action. In a wood packed with squirrels, Mark quickly finds a few of the grey pests to test his new set-up.

Great video guys. I really enjoyed the pheasant hunting footage.
Looking forward to the fine-tuned airgun in the future. Beautiful pheasant hunt!
Another excellent edition this week Chris, very interesting segments all 'round. Thanks to all who made this one possible.
Got the exact same m3 and they are incredible, sub inch group is achievable straight out the box with pellets at 100 yards, 25 cal 55 ft lbs and 120 shots a fill, incredible
Great video 👍👍👍👍
I absolutely loved the pheasant hunt/shoot. It is my dream,as an American,to participate in just such a hunt with my European cousins.
The M3 in .25 is an excellent weapon ( im a owner of course!) If you are heading down the rabbit hole of tuning for slugs then try these settings and it might get you into the ball park- 1st reg 150, 2nd reg 175-180, macro on 16,micro on 4.75 and the front valve wound out to 14mm off the block. These setting aint set in stone and you might have to tweek them for your chosen slug but hopefully they will shoot as good as they do in mine. Anything from zan projectiles, prohunter swaging or wildman work well and im currently using 41g prohunters at 960fps and 39g wildmans at 980fps.
Thank you! Much appreciated 👍 do you have a rough starting point for the jsb pellets by any chance?
@@260rips if you use that same tune that i just gave you then by turning the power wheel down until you get 960fps you should be somewhere near it, 960fps with a 700mm sup liner is quite a good sweet spot. Another tune that you can try that i find works great for the .25 jsb Hades pellets is 1st reg 150 bar 2nd reg 125bar , macro at 7 ,micro at 3.0 and start the valve at 4 lines, i used this tune last year and found it to be very accurate AND a efficient tune as i got over 4 mags of shots per charge.
@@260rips my appologies, the first reg should be 175-180 bar!!
Very confusing seeing snow on the ground then a man standing stationary in a shirt with no gloves or hat 🥶
Being a Left Hander like your good self, I've always been a bit put off FX Impacts with the large magazine sticking towards my cheek. Do you find it a problem? Would entertain one if I thought I'd get comfy eye alignment. Enjoyed the content and especially the airgun section. Cheers chaps.
Too busy to answer my simple question? Never mind, can go elsewhere on You Tube for answers
"FX air rifles reliable"....😂😂😂
Oh really? I’ve heard nothing but good things about them? Is there something that regularly goes wrong with them or something?
love the channel but since Matt is gone the airgun content is lacking
Sorry about that, I have to admit Matt is brilliant at what he does, a cracking bloke too both off and on the camera 👍
MORE AIR GUN HUNTING, PLEASE.
Oh goody? Did someone clamp your head in front of the screen and pin your eyes open?
