Wasn't expecting the Bulker to show up. If it was Crassus, I'd have cried. I can count the amount of Crassus I've found on both hands, so one being found on what's damn near a pacifist challenge? True pain that'd be.
Your content is awesome! I discovered your channel through the super meat boy series you made (which is one of my favorite games) and I'll definitely continue to watch your future stuff! Godspeed in your youtube career.
Good content! I love it so far! but also random fun fact: Shouting (usually X on pc i think / on controller tap the laser scanner thingy button) while bosco is holding something AND as long as hes close enough he will toss whatever hes holding directly to you. This can be useful so that you dont have to direct bosco to something and then cancel it or whatever and it can get him immediately back in the action. (as well as that shouting can just cancel whatever hes doing (MIGHT only work IF you have commanded him havent tested with him passively attacking or something))
unfortunately no, you'd basically just be playing pacifist. the beast cannot mine for you, so you'd have to do all that yourself. I guess its theoretically maybe possible on dreadnought missions, as you dont need to mine anything, but youd have to somehow get steve to win a 1v1 against a boss, multiple times in one mission. oh yeah, and regular bugs don't spawn while dreds are active... long story short, steve gets rekt and you wont be able to replace him soon enough
A cheeky combat technique you could have used for this run is something called bulk smashing. A bulks smash attack does damage and ignites other bugs around it. The attack also has a slight delay, enough so that you can grapple through the attack zone and make it out the other side before he can hit you. This will cause him to smash the ground killing bugs around him while you make it out scot free. You have to be careful not to get caught on any terrain though as any hitch could kill you.
16:52 fun fact, the detonator's Hellfire attack can't hit a scout grappling by him if the scout's position at the end is right outside his range, it's quite useful when you have a bulk and you want to get rid of a swarm
really well made and fun watch!! pacing is good, story is entertaining and things are well explained so even tho Im personally not very familiar with the game everything is still understandable! great job!!! ^-^
i love your videos of challenges, I know your channel is more meat boy theme, but please, do more videos of other games, they are awesome and filled with life just like this one
That ending is one for the books! My dude, you have some of the best content i've seen in the last years, keep it up! I know this video "didn't do well" compared to your meat boy videos, but don't let that discourage you from making videos of other games! You keep playing and doing what you love, i'll watch it. Rock and Stone!
I accidentally did this on a aquarc mission, hazzard 5 with a driller. It wasn't from the start, but I never found enough nitra for a single resupply. Ran around for over an hour, but Bosco got everything and completed the mission.
as soon as i saw the bulk det, i immediately thought about something that the scout can do to trigger the bulk’s explosion, killing bugs around him. i wonder if that technically fits under the rules?
I'm always up for some DRG related content, love the video, but I think you can't beat a dreadnought with only Bosco, his aim is too bad to hit the weakpoints reliably, and dodge all attacks while waiting for him do do the tiniest of damages must be the closest to impossible... So I bet you to do it, I'm not subscribed to your channel yet so if you do it, I'll subscribe and never unsubscribe for the rest of my life no matter how bad of a content you produce, deal?
I'm an avid solo player, so I am well versed in the art of Bosco-ing and can confirm, you could absolutely have him kill a dreadnaught on his own. It's quite easy to control where he shoots via tasking him to move in a direction to light up an area, then interrupt that order and attack an enemy. That said, you are 100% right on how pitifully low his damage would be. Getting him to hit the Dreadnaught, at least so long as it's a Glyphid Dreadnaught and not the twins or Hiveguard, would be fairly easy once you get some practice in controlling him, but it would almost certainly take an hour if not more to actually kill the thing. Though you'd need to deal with other bugs entirely on your own as Bosco couldn't keep you safe, you focus on micro-managing him to deal with the dreadnaught, and Bosco killing the dreadnaught all at the same time, so a pure pacifist kill would be near impossible.
Bosco must win the game

crassus only gives from 3000 to 5000 credits depending on the cave you're in not that much tbh

Shouting causes Bosco to change priorities to guarding you. Saluting makes him drop any heavy objects.
Genuine incredible clutch, had me on the edge of my seat.
How about a Beast Master only challenge next? Is that possible?

bro plays deep rock galactic
a walking W
For the first time in the history of deep rock Mission Control was able to land a drop pod within 25 meters of you

This was HECTIC! Had a perfect ending lol everything worked out just down to the wire!

fact 1, bosco is friend shaped. fact 2, the deep rock galactic community are all friends
really well made and fun watch!!

great job!!! ^-^
This is the video that convinced me to play Deep Rock Galactic...
Bosco, more like Costco

I was wondering how you came up with such an insane idea. Then you revealed you're a scout main. Now I'm not wondering any more.

Wow. Crazy impressive.
...now to truly beat the game finish every mission type lmao
Alright, but point extraction is EZ mode. Gotta beat all the other missions with just Bosco to truly "beat" it.
You’re definitely underrated. Good job with this.
Fun fact bulk detonators are a problem on any hazard (except 1)
So insanely epic
I wish more UA-camrs would play drg, it’s so good

Keep up the good work 💯💪
EDD next??
Just don't tell management
Rock and stone
why this video only got like 100 ish likes?
When is there gonna be a new super meat boy challenge video?
Bro, Timmys gonna get a seizure with all this anticipation and dramatic shit!
Good video though 👍
Congratulations miner you are officially the laziest dwarf in all of deep rock galactic and may you hope drg doesn’t fire you rock and stone
Your channel should be bigger tbh
Too bad this didn't get as much traction as other vids
First
