Totally awesome product! Funny thing I came specifically to this video to post a question & 5:10 you totally answered! I originally purchased a small bottle online & it was somewhat of a peachy/pink color & then purchased a large bottle for back up & this one came pink like pepto! Both worked superbly!
Hello Jason, I took my first Maguire training class you we’re The instructor . It was out in Las Vegas at clean Mart
Alot of the videos on this product focus on machine polishing, but it works really nice for hand application.Very smooth and easy to use.
Great point and thank you for bringing it up. As a company that makes tools our focus tends to be machine application, but you are correct. It is very easy to use by hand.
Where did you buy your hand polishing pads.
I love this product I use it 95% of the time. After a big cut with 105 I use uno. Yes only two steps and its remains like a mirror
Awesome. Happy to hear you are enjoying the content and seeing success with the product.
Love this product. Just got around using my bottle for our Lexus. Mille with yellow wool was less than 1 hour job and it looks amazing.
That is great to hear! Thanks.
Saludos Jason y excelente explicación y aclaración de dudas…
Exito ✌🏽☘️👍🏼
¡Gracias por mirar y comentar!
@@RUPES gracias a ustedes x informar 👌
I've been working it for a year and a half now in cars and boats and i am completely blown away... absolutely loving it💯🔥😎❤️
p.s. Jason you Rock💯💪
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with us.
@@RUPES thank YOU ALL for the awesome products and enthusiastic teaching at the Webinar...it was my oasis during Covid lock downs!!!
Do you do the fiberglass boats or pontoon. I'd love to give a pontoon boat a whirl. How much longer does it take to do the boats. Thank you.
@@drmikeyb1, boats and especially rib boats are a completely different story than cars...and although i've never seen a pontoon i believe its the same story🤔... you'll need at least twice the time of mid size suv to get the job done 😬...
I realize this has nothing to do with the product but I'd like to say thank you to all the people involved in these amazing videos. It honestly seems like a dream job and you have fun doing your job. Thank you again and keep up the fantastic videos.
Thank you very much Mike! We appreciate the compliments, and we're glad that our passion and the joy we get out of creating this videos shows thru in the finished product.
This is my go-to product and the clients
Response is always the same, they touch it and go Gaga. It is the product I use after using either Rupes Blue or yellow wool along with either DA course or fine. I use it for half of my business.
Thats awesome. Glad to hear you are having success with the products and its impressing your customers!
Great information , 👍✌️
Glad it was helpful.
Great info … thx
Glad it was helpful!
Is this product safe to use on vinyl wrapped cars? Thank you
ah, now i know why my pad getting harder to clean after use rupes uno... thanks for the info
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Can we coat the surface with wax after Uno Protect? or is it recommended?
Will Uno protect stain black plastic trim?
Hi guys, can you explain to me a little further around the filler part? As an example if im using this product to freshen up a friends car.. its removing some defects, providing great gloss/finish and protecting it.. after a few months/washes is the car not going to look as good and you’ll start seeing defects back? The owner would then think they’ve been ripped off?
Would love your knowledge around that as im keen to use this as a 1 step to freshen up peoples cars, but dont want them in a few months thinking its all worn off and they’ve been ripped off, seeing defects that were ‘not there’ when the car was handed over
Thanks for posting your question. As explained in the video the product is capable of filling or cutting, but it depends on how you use it. Fast application with slightly more product will increase filling and reduce correction. Slower arm speeds and less product applied to the surface will increase correction, and reduce the reliance on filling.
Avoiding your customers feeling "ripped off" is more about you setting the right expectation with them for the results. If you do a fast application as outlined in our Express Enhancement video (link below) the filling properties would be relied on, as as such you need to communicate with your customer and set the expectation that you're doing some correction, and some filling. A customer should never be in a position where they feel they've been taken advantage of if you are providing education and setting the correct expectation for result.

@@RUPES thank you for the clarification and getting back to me! If the goal is to achieve more correction and i follow your suggestions to achieve that, i guess my question is am i seeing a true result of what i have corrected, or is that still being impacted by the filler part of the product? I hope that makes sense.
That would depend on whether or not the defects were fully removed, and that will depend on the severity of the defect and the hardness of the paint. If the correcting power of UNO Protect removes 100% of the defects, then there is nothing to fill so the fillers won't have any impact. If it doesn't remove the defect then the fillers will have some effect on the remaining defect. The truth of the matter is that any product that leaves behind solids (as UNO Protect does by depositing sealant) will fill to some degree or another if there are imperfections on the surface. If filling is a significant concern for you then an all in one product is probably not the product you should be using for that particular job.
Can this just be quickly spread across a car in large sections a panel at a time with a microfiber finishing disc ? If I blow out the pad in between panels will 1 pad work and wash it after the job
The application method with this product dictates the result, more than it does with most. As with the video - if you want light correction and more filling, use slightly more product for a heavier application with fast arm movements and light pressure. If you want increased cutting and less/no filling use slightly less product, slow your arm speed down and increase pressure. For the express application we have a great video that will outline that (link below) If working in that method we prefer going with multiple pads as that is typically faster and keeps results more consistent over the entire car than blowing out the pad - especially microfiber which does not easily release residues.

Can I use uno protect with a white rupes pad 3-4 times a year (fast technique) without harming the paint on a Mazda Miata ND 2016?
Yes. That would be perfectly safe. The only cause for concern would be if you were using a more aggressive pad and using a technique with slow arm speed, pressure, etc. as that would be cutting too often to maintain clearcoat thickness.
I love uno protect, but what happened to prime + protect? Is it eventually coming to market?
Still in development, we won't comment publicly on release timing though.
@@RUPES Thank you. Looking forward to release!
1. Would allowing UP to dwell on the paint before wipe off for 4 hours during cross linking provide a more durable, longer lasting protectant? 2. Does Rupes have plans to release their own spray topper to make UP more durable and longer lasting? 3. Are there any known spray toppers to be compatible with UP that would make it more durable and long lasting?
Thanks for watching. Answers:
1. Once the product cross links (around 20 minutes) additional dwell time does not increase durability. The polymers are already in the process of doing what they're going to do at the surface level. There is no negative to allowing it to sit longer, it wipes off the same whether on for a half hour or a half a day, but the actual performance would be the same.
2. We do not comment on product development publicly. Sorry.
3. While we don't endorse any specific topper products there are several out there that customers have used with success. Things like P&S Beadmaker, Gtechniq C2V3, and similar spray sealant products can be used. Keep in mind that a topper doesn't make Protect any more durable. It is an additional layer that imparts its own unique properties on top of the polymer left behind.
I would try Rupes 808. Very strong polymer sealant.
@@danlc95 I never knew about it. Strange that Rupes didn’t suggest it since I asked specifically for a compatible topper that would extend durability.
@@TheZigzone - It might not be compatible?
Possibly the best AIO in the market right now. Just out of curiosity, what happened to Prime+Protect ? You can see/download the flyer for the product , is it coming soon ?
Thanks for watching and commenting. We don’t discuss product development publicly, sorry.
I am trying to remove stubborn water spots. What brand, color and type of pad should I use with a rotary DA?
Water spots can be stubborn, but usually a combination of a medium D-A Wool or D-A Microfiber and D-A Fine Polish can remove them. If the marks remain after polishing, they may be water etchings and require more aggressive combinations and/or wet sanding.
Hey.Can I use this for ceramic coating maintenance for car with swirls?
Thanks for watching and posting your question. No, this product really wouldn't be ideal for that since it is a different type of protection package (polymer). The protection in UNO Protect would struggle to properly bond with the coated surface and likely has lower hydrophobicity than the coating that was applied.
For coating maintenance our new product, UNO Advanced, would be ideal. It was just announced and is shipping in select global markets already. It should be arriving in North America before the end of the summer. Expect it to be available globally before SEMA.
Thankyou so much for the info.
Hello, what rpm LHR III 15 rupes da fine paste with yellow pad??
Hello and thank you for your question. We recommend the standard application with any of the products to be between speed setting 3 or 4. You can learn more about speed recommendations here:

Thanks Jason 👍
Thanks for watching!
Am Jason if you use IPA on the UNO protect before 20 minutes will it do any damage to the UNO protect?
IPA at any point, before or after curing, would degrade and possibly remove the sealant. There should be no reason to do an IPA wipe after using this product.
@@RUPES hi what if we do ipa before using coating? because our main focus is gloss what we already got so we go for ipa and then ceramic coating?
Then we would recommend a product like our DA Fine for this process. There is no need to use UNO Protect if you only intend to strip the sealant anyways.
@@asadabbasi2010 - That would be working backwards.
It saves a lot of time and effort to just use a non protective polish for this process, like their DA Fine or Uno Pure.
What type of DA polisher pad will be used with this product, medium cutting pad or a. Polishing pad?
The choice of pad depends on the paint hardness, severity of the target defect, and the goals for the final result. The two best performing pads for UNO Protect tend to be the yellow wool for more significant cutting power or the yellow foam for more polishing and refinement.
@@RUPES why rupes not lounch ceramic coating
can i use this product monthly to wax my car with a light pad and quick passes? Does it serve to protect and remove old wax? today I use ultimate polish+ultimate paste wax. Can i use this product to replace my process? I'm afraid it's too aggressive for my clear coat, I just wanted to use it as a sealant and wax cleaner in one step.
If you are looking to have a product with no abrasive properties, this is not the product you should choose. It includes abrasives for the correction of defects. You can minimize its impact with technique and pad choice, but if you want only protection with no correction this wouldn't be a fit.
@@RUPES i want use the abrasiveness to remove old uno protect and renew It. But you said the right thing to do is remove It with a IPA before apply the rupes protect to remove old "wax"
Correct. If you simply polish over the previous application the old product will load up your pad and diminish performance.
@@RUPES thank you 👍👍👍. You could make some videos about maintenance. What to do after your paint is swirl free
Can you use UNO Protect or the new UNO Advanced on boat gel coat?
Technically yes it can be used on gelcoat but as a last step product (LSP) after proper gelcoat refinishing and correction. After polishing, surface should be properly prepped with REVEAL Lite after polishing and before applying UNO ADVANCED or UNO Protect. Use on oxidized surfaces without proper refinishing prior to application is not recommended.
Okay thank you!
Can u use this on any plastic paint surfaces
Painted plastic surfaces can be polished just like painted metal surfaces. In the end you’re dealing with the top layer, not what is underneath. The only cautions with painted plastics is to reduce cycle times and speeds to reduce heat.
Uno protect and roatry combo
Yes, UNO Protect can be used with rotary. The UNO family of products is formulated to work with any tool movement.
Hi my uno protect is gone pink is it ok to use or it was expired
Thanks
Thanks for the comment! Our Project Development and Engineering Teams are always working on optimizing the performance of our products. The pink color was just a variation while working on improvements but has no effect on the performance.
Why rupes yet not lounch ceramic polish
Can I use this product for windshild(glass)?
Can you? Sure. It will apply to glass without any issues.
Should you? The effect of the sealant on glass will be incredibly short lived. On a windshield the wipers will remove it the moment they're turned on. It can be useful for just making glass look cleaner and more consistent as part of an application to the rest of the car, but thats about the only reason to consider it.
Does it remove clear coat ?
Thanks for posting your question. Any polishing process that corrects the finish is removing some amount of clear coat.
Uno Pure is the same?
No. UNO Pure is a completely different product. You can learn about the difference here: ua-cam.com/video/VGy-HwNFFRA/v-deo.html
If you’re a mobile detailer, is the product safe in the sun? Even if you wait til you go around the whole car to start wiping?
Yes. The working time will be shortened significantly on hot panels thought, so plan to reduce your application area and shorten up your cycles to compensate for the product drying out too quickly because of the heat.
