Fantastic product for a quick & easy spruce up. Done two overspray removal contracts this year, uno protect has been great for polishing out clay marring and bringing out the gloss. Nice darkening effect and so easy to buff off!
This past spring I made the plunge and purchased a 15 LHR Mark III from Carzilla here in Canada. I also made the full switch to the matched system. Polish and pads, although I do still have some 101 Foam Cut from meguairs on hand. It is a great system, and for an enthusiast like me, it keeps it simple with great results. The only difference is the Uno Polish is labelled as Ultra Finishing Polish. Not sure if there is a difference. Anyway, great video and I learned some new stuff. Always a great day when you learn something new.
Fabulous car. Love seeing people happy with what they do. Thanks for the tips.
I love that you are working with rupes. You deserve that man. You really do.
Great video Jon, your channel has helped me the most on what’s best for my specific vehicles.thank you again
Only recently found this channel. Bloody awesome. Very informative, common sense and straight forward. Nice one John 👍 (and great choice of cars!)
A Flex fan boy in a Rupes apron - whatever next?! 😂 Big fan of Uno Protect. Such a doddle to use.
Your explanation of what Uno Protect/ an AIO is was fantastic Jon 👌 all credit as it can be tricky…one of the best videos on FDC i’d say - slick, engaging, informative and well editied. Top job Jon !
Thanks chris
Welcome to Rupes Jon👍
Been using Rupes machines, pads & compounds for nearly 2 yrs & have not looked back.
A fantastic combo, and the results speak volumes.
When it comes to machines, love em
When it comes to pads, love most of them / hate some of them (green / blue foam pads)
When it comes to Uno protect, LOVE it, this thing cuts and finishes so nice, great for customers that aren't willing to pay alot... and also it does its job really freaking well.
@@TheDim3s the newer Rupes DA pads are night & day vs the old.
Blue, yellow & white foam only now.
I also use both the newer blue & yellow wool. Again using only the DA Blue or yellow compounds or Uno Pure & Protect.
A fantastic combo, with the Bigfoot & ibrid Nano machines 👍
Jon is a FLEX fanboy. Come home to FLEX Jon, we feel betrayed.
Simon, have you ever used a Flex?
The Uno is a very good polish; try matching it with the forced rotation of the flex 3401.
I love your content. Your bins are superbly clean and shiny
Another great review Jon, thanks. Your my favorite channel 😊
Such a beautiful colour the M4 CS 🔥
Hi Jon, totally agree, 80% of the time i use Uno Protect for light scratch removal and as gloss enhancer. It is really great protect, that i use besides the bkue and yellow DA when needed. So perfect All-in-One, to make time efficient great steps from haze to gloss :-)
Great video as always John. Will give this a try and order some
What wonderful video jon thanks for the tips and tricks now I'm sure now nothing can go if starting with rupes uno
I truly love this, just by doing one pass with the yellow wool pad at speed 5 on lhr15 gives an amazing shine
Jon i used Menzurna AIO today, really nice to work with and wizzed over the entire car in an hour. I will lay down some BH Double Speed tomorrow.
Looks good, definitely one to try when I finish my current bottle of Tripple 👍. PS nice touch with the safety glasses, hi-viz and ear defenders in the next one please 😁👍👍.
That looks like a great product 👌
Excellent vidéo and very informative
Great stuff as usual Jon, I went down the yellow DA fine route. Really love it. As you said the foam pads are great. Your'e right the Rupes vids are great, that Jason Rose is pretty good. Nice to see you getting something because I know even if its flowed gear you'll be objective and honest. But what's with the glasses? Are you targeting Speckies youtubies? :-) (They did suit you sir). Nice to see the big shake of product.
I tried uno early this year on a VW tornado red car and just did not get on with it. The protection lasted one wash. However after watching this video I’ll try it again next year when the weather is warmer.
Jon, that Rupes yellow wool pad is 👌🏽its my go to pad on a lot of correction jobs.
It's cuts great but finish good it is belter of a pad
As a hobbyist using aio by hand instead of wax saves me time and from machine polishers. It's a shame many aio are ignored like what I use poorboy polish with sealant (i really like the filler it has makes my work easier and comes of easy even after leaving it for long). Thanks to Forensic Detailing for bringing this review I will give it a shot next.

@@DavidC1 Thanks for letting me know
Do you mean Black Hole?
@@mastacrx Polish with selant mix of Black hole and Ex-p
P&S Beadmaker is great as a tool to,buff off too. Let the Uno protect sit for 20 mins, then use the BM to buff off. P&S/Rupes done a few videos on it.
Rag company did a great video on this as well.
Hi Jon,
Could this be used by hand if you dont have a machine like bilt hambers cleanser polish.
Great video as always and love the new M4 especially that colour.
Personally I would have gone for uno pure and a sealant base and wax topper. Not the best protection for a base layer. Love the color.
Thanks for your video. I wonder if it's beneficial for gloss and durability to top this product with the Rupes p808 spray sealant. Also, please consider to review the koch chemie lack polish grün which is a similar product and costs 16 euro per Lt and is amazing value for money.
Thanks for the video
Excellent video, Jon! I don't have a product-specific question, but I do have a general polishing question. Can you use a 15mm DA polisher to do an entire vehicle, or do you also need something like a 12 mm or smaller to do the trim work and tight spots? I'd love to be able to just buy one polisher if possible - was just curious what your input would be. Thanks!
You can hit 95 % with s 15ml da. That's ok for most people pro detailer will need mini polisher though m8
I've gotta get a screenshot of 3:46 :) love it
I just want to say thank you for NOT choosing the flattest part of the hood to demonstrate this. I appreciate a more practical, real-world application, especially on tricky panels.
Great video Jon 👍 I've been biting my tongue for flipping months but tonight I'm sorry Jon the devil has got the better of me - there is no S on the end of the first word of the name of your channel! 😂😂😂😂😂 I challenge you to do the next video and not say ForensicS! It'll be harder than you think, you've been doing it the other way forever! 🤣🤣🤣
Finally the M4 CS gets some love! Is that Nardo or Lime Rock Grey John? Be good if you can do a follow up video showing the finished results…how are you enjoying the car from a daily driver perspective?
yer i will shot this video this week for sure.
Great Video, have some UNO Protect that I’m yet to use. Have my parents 3 year old Seat Arona to do. Paint is in good condition but needs claying first. The car has Black Plastic Trim around the arches and lower halves. Last year I masked it all off. But saw a video from The Rag Company “Levi’s 20 min ultimate one step” that states UProtect doesn’t stain trim like traditional polishes do if wiped off. Don’t suppose you have any experience or testing of this yet? Would make life much easier if I don’t need to worry as much about touching trim with polisher here and there.
its wipes off trim great. its not sort of chalky its more waxy.
Jon did you get pad stall on the vertical panels? Did Rupes come out with a cordless Forced Rotation? Just Curious.
I don't think they have any cordless fill size polishers
Great product , top up with spray sealant or qd. Fillers last something about two-three months 👍
John do you not use a wax after this as your protection or do you repeatedly polish your car every 3 months? Just thinking you'd get better performance from a wax such gyeon, AG or BH waxes
I don't no. I will reapply with white pad. Generally speaking
Hey jon @forensicdetailingchannel great video 👌🏾 which colour pad would you have used if using the flex pads range on your car on first correction and then later on 3 month down the line , I know you used yellow rupes on this first correction and said you would use the white pad 3 months later... my car has similar paint quality light swirls
Orange flex pad. Or switch upto purple flex pad for more cut
@@ForensicDetailing I bought some purple as recommended by yrself , thinking should I get orange too now my car is only 3 years old ans has similar swirls to yours, what would you use in 3 months time in flex pads to top it up
Great work as usual Fella! Which Rupes machine did you use? Mk3 or forced rotation? 🇬🇧👍
Mk3
Do you recommend any cheaper pads than the rupes ?
Generally speaking, If there are any swirls at all in the paint no matter how minor, will the yellow pad most likely be needed to get them out, or can the white pad accomplish some correction?
i would go yellow for light swirls really. yellow is a really good pad.
nice video cheers .
Brilliant video Jon, I watched your review on auto finesse triple before this and my question is they are both aio products but why can the triple not remove imperfections but the uno can? Is it just a case of uno has more or stronger abrasives in?
Triple can m8
Would you say uno has more cutting ability? It would be good to see a aio comparison as some are more of a glaze rather than an aio like auto glym srp is more of a glaze same as at triple
Which inspection light is that you're using? Checked your links without joy. It looks similar to one I have but not certain. 👍
sealey lcm360
@@ForensicDetailing Many thanks! 👍
Hiya john. Where’s the cheapest and best place for products, with Black Friday coming up etc
normally car chem, in2detailing but just keep an eye out. if I hear any good deals Ill flash them up on facebook page.
Jon obviously you have a choice of weapons with your selection of tools and pads, but my DAS 6 pro is used for everything, I tend to use CG hex logic pads, do you think my Black finishing pad will be alright with this product. Cheers Steve
No mate it won't work it properly use a hex white or green
@@ForensicDetailing thanks
GREAT vid, mate. Thanks for using the tripod, MUCH easier to watch than with the selfie "seasick" stick videos that everyone does these days 👍
VERY useful info as I was wondering about this product. 10/10😉
Nice review, Jon! Have you ever tried Auto fanatic's Secret Weapon? It's a very versatile AIO but unlike UNO, doesn't require curing which is a deal breaker IMO.
John, with your experience which of the two is your favorite and why the Koch P6 or the Rupez uno protect Greetings M from Belgium
Off maybe Koch P3
Uno protect. Price is a big factor 30 versus 47. Both top quality
Would you say this is like a modern take on Autoglym SRP ?
Wondering if i can use this to prep a new car and layer a coating of gyeon wax over the top ?
Not really no. Srp is primer this is aio
I thought you'd started working at B&Q when you cut to you wearing the apron.
muhaha :)
Mate, how much liquid in grams or ml you spend like in a sedan? Doing the entire car, how much would you spend using da coarse blue and how much with the uno protect? Appreciate
hmm about 100ml cutting compund roughly one set all over a car. less with finishing polish.
Do all those Rupes pads and polishers work with the Rupes Mille forced rotation?
Yes but not developed for them. So really try the mille thin pads and mille compounds if your a mille user. But I've used the products on the xce from flex with no issues
Jon did you lay down some BH Double Speed after this? Or are you considering it soon?
No wax just this. I think if you are going to wax then pure abrasive and degrease is better but takes longer
@@ForensicDetailing thanks for the advice
AIO battle in the future?? Would love to see how it would fair up to angelwax enigma AIO?
Great video 🤙
I think so tony
Can i use it by hand because i dont have a machine? And how you advixe me to do it? In circle motions with a micro fiber applicator is ok?
Better on machine m8
Now we're talking 😉 😎
Good afternoon I was wondering if you could help me I asked several detailers on UA-cam no one wants to answer me I got Cement splatter in my wheelwell what can you recommend to remove it
Ok bill so you need to be carefull. An acid is the best way to go. First foam it down. Then try and cover it in an acid water spot remover. Gyeon water spot. Let it soak in. The acid in a water spot remover should shrink the solid deposits stuck to the car. Pressure wash off. The if car looks good then contact wash. Clay and machine polish. It's hard to give exact instructions without eyeballing it but this gives you and idea.
Love the product but how do you get the pink out pads?
dont let it dry helps so like place in bucket of water after use. but I think some pink in the pads might be inevtiable. Use hot water and surfex HD to clean it.
Very Nice again jhon! Can we/i put a topper om this product? ❤
Yes not ceramic though. But rupes advanced is better than this
@@ForensicDetailing thanks!
Can you come and detail my car please?….I live near the seaside so you could include it in a weekend break 🤣🤣
Great tutorial :-) Which microfiber would you recommend for Uno Protect removal?
Any really m8
@@ForensicDetailing gone for 365 edgeless :-)
Which pads to use with uno protect? Yellow foam or yellow wool?
Yellow wool for more swirl removal or harder German paint. Yellow foam for sifter paints and less haze... See rupes da kits video
The Obligatory: "But Jon that product has fillers in it." :)
You should do a comparison on uno protect and P6, also consider flex vs Rupes machines 😁
I think one day a big AIO comparison will be good.
@@ForensicDetailing I have used quite a few now, p&s playmaker is also a good one, even easier wipe off than uno protect. I never bothered with the Angel wax one tho as it’s just stupid dear.
How do i clean the pads if you don’t have access to compressed air ? thanks
brush and water, and swap out to clean pad.
I have this in my kit.. not used it yet... was disappointed with their yellow/blue polishes... dont know how you found them, but i think they dust a lot.
they have short processing times steve. so the DA course is like 45 seconds and stop. wipe go again.
@@ForensicDetailing yeah .. I followed their tutorial .. I still found the fine dusting. I don’t know if things would change with a different pad? I’m using the foam ones that came with the big foot kit.
You recommend a system?
@@ForensicDetailing Now I have a bmw, and ive never used the coarse bottle, so i think i may need to now? Or will the yellow and the foam pad correct this paint? If not, what is your experience with your bmw and Rupes? do you need to do a 2 stage polish? Uno i would imagine will only get rid of the most mildest scratches?
also notice you dont prime the pad with a spray? Arent you ever concerned you'll make scratches doing the rupes method of priming?
How many pads would you intend on a vehicle
I used 2 yellow rupes to do this car. the pads do get like waxy after about an hour of polishing so I stick one in the bucket of water and use the other. and then switch to the other one after flush out and dry in a clean towel sandwich.
@@ForensicDetailing thank for the reply John appreciate it. Was it the yellow wool polishing pads from in2detailing. As I cannot find the yellow medium foam pads. Do you have a link to them please.
The moment Jon goes from mentioning the paint correction to the protection and "the gloss" the sun comes out and shines on him....just how does he do it!? 🙌🏽
Can I used it with 3D one
Can you top it off with a wax when dried??
Yes
It’s a great product, and as for that MK3 it’s the best DA on the market by miles, if you want to add some durability to the protection C2v3 is a good option
What's the best pad for Uno protect
Yellow foam from rupes is good starting point
AOI all in one 🤦♂️AIO john 😂
Jon, we love you and we hate you. You figure out why we do both at the same time, mate.
Uno protect vs 1&done?
Did you mean aio?
Not seeing the benefit of changing over from BH cleaner polish. I think Rupes is overcharged on everything and yes I do use a Big foot 3 and nano but I find better polishes out there that can do the same or better for less money. Still a BH fan
pads and abrasives are really well priced.
AIO not AOI haha
its a mental block I cant it. Theres just too many TLA's
Hood ❗️🤷🏻♂️
AOI OR AIO ? LOL ;)
Dont forget to polish your windscreen, get rid of those watermarks and chemical stains.
Bonnet please not hood. Too much American colloquialism creeping in!!

It all getting a bit too much Drive the bloody thing and give it a blast with the Jet wash
