    Atomic Habits has become one of the bibles of habit building and rightfully so! What are some habits that you'd like to build using these systems? Reading more books? Having a healthier lifestyle? Better relationships? Something totally different? Share in the comment section below and as always, let me know if you have any questions :)

      I think all habits are bad , because habits puts us on an autopilot mode , where we aren't aware of our mistakes , so , consciousness is its solution.
      I have learned this from this video👇🏻

      A life without habits sounds like a lot of work and wasted resources. You need to think about every little process in your daily life so it would be hard to progress and do anything really meaningful.

    I found this book out actually by a psychologist, the recommended this book. I know James uses pub med to read actual scientific papers, and talks to real professionals about habit formation. He's done his research. He also sources his research very well. Hands down the best book on habit formation. He also has all sorts of amazing stuff on his blog. Highly recommend buying or renting this book and applying the tactics. Its not a joke, it really does work.

    The workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels goes great with Atomic Habits I felt. It's so important to give the mind space to relax and be still.

    I had been listening to the audiobook version of Atomic Habits. I was not grasping the concepts. The thought popped into my head that I am a visual learner. I opened UA-cam & after searching, found your video explaining the concepts & IMMEDIATELY the light bulb lit up & I was able to visualize & gain understanding & even think up my own examples of habit stacking. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH for taking the time to create this VERY USEFUL VIDEO!!!🙏🏾🖤🥰 -Kathryn’s Hacks

    00:15 Begining of Your automatic habits.
    00:45 This is what Atomic Habits is all about.
    01:43 The main problem with goal-driven behavior
    02:43 How habits are actually formed. There are generally four stages, the cue, the craving, the response and the reward.
    02:51 The Example
    03:32 The four laws of behavior change are, make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy and make it satisfying
    04:01 the easiest way of making a cue obvious is a strategy called habit stacking.
    04:34 making the craving attractive.
    05:13 making the response easy.
    06:08 Making it easy also means not setting your goals extremely high.
    06:34 And finally make the reward satisfying (reinforcement)
    06:59 And identity is the cherry on top of your behavior changing cake of awesomeness.
    07:58 Practical Tips. "the easiest and most practical way for me is for you to figure out your current habits"
    09:34 End

    Beyond complete beginner gains, absolutely NOBODY can make a 1% improvement in _anything_ every single day, or probably even any single day. Depending on what it is, it probably takes weeks/months to make a full 1% improvement, if the improvement can even be defined. Thanks for the video BTW, good job! 👍

    • @SuccessfulByDesign
      @SuccessfulByDesign  2 роки тому

      Of course the 1% per day is for illustration purposes to drive the point of marginal gains and consistency.

      true and progress comes in bursts, it's definitely a mentality to get better every day, the math is just a way to visualize the results to keep yourself motivated

    • @SuperMIKevin
      @SuperMIKevin 2 місяці тому

      The point is to get in the habit.
      It doesn't matter if your goal is 1 million push-ups per day.
      Start with just 1 per day to get into the habit.
      Your goal should be 1 push up per day, 365 push-ups per year.

    thank you so much for the review! Im new to your channel, I do believe re- watching your summary 2-3 times, take some notes and to put it into ACTION is much more better then trying to read the full book and after few weeks trying to remember and get the motivation to put it into practice! lets be clear: we get the MOST motivation to do something in the beginning, the longer you take to get into action, the less motivation you will have! in other words: Im happy I find your channel! thank you! :)

    “Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress.” Setting and improving habits is a lot better than worrying about results. I also like the mindfulness workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels for calming the mind to be more present and aware.

    Thank you for sharing this my man, cool animations also. I think this book is super important because there are so many pop-psychology books int he self development area which doesnt account for the daily habits which actually takes us to the goal. I can recommend also the book willpower and awaken the giant which sort of emphasizes both the reward system you mentioned and also advertising in your own mind for the good behaviors.
