Comment about not needing a plate in a trail shoe seems about right to me:-)
This is such a great promo for Norda and this shoe. Great to hear directly from the founder.
Meta have been killing it at TRE! Thank you!
Nick is a great guy with some much knowledge and passion for the sport. Great to have him on the channel.
Beautiful shoe
It is stunning. Even more so in person!
These are beautiful and I really like the vibes and passion of the founder! He's so different than I'd imagined!
Nick is awesome
Great shoe makers
Such a badass brand. Can’t wait
Can't wait either
Peoud to be Canadian! Way to go Norda!
Awesome to have a shoe company like norda making Canadians proud!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...I find it beautiful though!!
I find it beautiful too
The Lamborghini of trail shoes!?
Pagani even
Why the light colour? Wouldn't be more practical in darker colour? Maybe they created a perfect trail runner, but know it will sell the most in high end fashion boutiques, so it is a bit fashion forward too.
Does it have a heel counter?
What’s the lug depth?
looks like a beach slipper..
But it is so comfortable
In order to save weight we made it ultra narrow?
I love norda and have several pairs of 001 but dear lord this shoe is ugly. Very light though!
I find it pretty but it's very personal of course
Norda should make its shoes cheaper for Canadians. As a Canadian it feels odd paying more then Americans for a Canadian product.
Same crap with Adidas charging more in Germany (and Europe broadly) than the US
What are you talking about? The 001 is $285 CDN on the Norda website. It’s also $285 USD on the Norda website. That’s a significant savings if you’re pending CDN.
@@DramasaurousRex If you factor in Canadian vs American average earnings then it's definitely not cheaper. Not to mentioned other aspects we Canadian need to spend more money on first like housing and food that are cheaper in the US. But yes technically you can say it's not "more".
@@Kaisersozze I’d love it if you should show me a manufacturer in any segment, let alone athletics, who factors these into setting prices for local markets vs the broader international market. I honestly don’t know of any - but I’d love to be shown examples.
Alternatively, I’d love to know of other manufacturers that set prices the SAME for local currency and the USD. By doing that, Norda is effectively giving Canadian consumers, purchasing with CDN a $100 discount. If I was to purchase the Norda 001 in USD today, that would cost me $398.44 CDN.
Again, that’s over a $100 difference. What more could you reasonably ask for?
Norda is a Canadian based company: the price in Canada is MSRP $285 CAD.
- With the Fx conversion it is a 40% savings to Canadians.
- The MSRP is similar is additional markets and the entire difference is with respect to import VAT in certain markets or in the USA with a 20% Import Duty + an additional 7.5% Tariff in the USA. The Margin just covers all of the import taxes, duties. Show me a brand who transparently shares that with you
Wow everything in this shoe is “the best in the world”
Bold statements 🙄
Is the price also "the best in the world"? Maybe it is, for such a “the best in the world” shoe 😀.
Hipsters are all about overpaying.
Could it be more ugly ?
I have to disagree here, as I like the design. But this is of course really personal.
I'm not sure if ugly is the correct term but definitely doesn't have trail running shoes vibes. Looks more like athleisure, almost a daddy or fashion brand shoe.
What would you consider an attractive shoe then?
@@jorgemoura3062 That's exactly what we strive for at norda, our own identity and aesthetic Understated logos and marketing. We speak through science & technology by making products with the lightest and strongest materials on earth such as 100% bio-Dyneema, Arnitel and Mega Grip Elite. To be an innovator, we have tp bring things that advance and elevate and it must be a shock to the status quo Trust us, when you see the shoe and hold it in your hands, all will make sense. We frequently use car references and the norda 005 is akin to the BMW M5 CS, the fastest production street legal car, but you would never know by looking at it. IYKYK
hard pass on this one
Can I ask you why?
