Update#2 - Negative comments will be deleted. Tagalog and English. Don't waste your time.
Ako si Joe Hansen, and taong nagsasalita dito. Ang bait naman si Nanang, at pamiliya niya... Rest in Peace, Nanang! Agsilbi ak idiay sapay koma iti sumaruno a panawen! God bless!_Joe Hansen
+Joe Hansen Maraming salamat sa inyo, Lt Hansen and I'm glad you found this video! Nice to hear from you again and hope all is well! Ikaw ay UA-cam star!
+Joe Hansen I am IMPRESSED.
LDS din po ako brother :)
Ammok met lang ag-ilokano. Hahahaha. Roxas district 2nd branch po yung simbahan namin. :)
+Joe Hansen God bless you always Mr. Hansen.
I am Filipino and most of us feel so much JOY when we HEAR other nationalities speak our native Language. I wish they feel the same too.
He could be formerly a Mormon missionary. Lots of Mormons who are assigned to missionary works in the Philippines speak Filipino because this is a requirement. Same is true when they go to other countries. They learn the country's language first before going.
Yess I love your language sadly
I can't speak Tagalog I can only speak Bisaya
His Tagalog and Ilocano is amazing. Makes me want to work harder at learning both languages. You go man!
He speak Tagalog so honest.. such a good person, right?
nakakaproud ka sir, kahit di ka tunay na Pilipino ay minahal mo na ang lahi nmain...sobrang thank you po....I salute you Sir.
Wow. So great to see Nana Torralba. Last time we saw her was in Sacramento in late 90s. Miss her and her family - Joey who we met at Osan AB, His wife Merle, Manong Bernie -- great people from San Antonio. Regards from Merlyn Santilla.
We adore him. He is amazing, like my husband, he is a foreigner and learning to speak our language too.they want to fit in, they want the filipino people understand them too, they want to gain friends. Thumbs up to that!
6 years ago natong video but still I'm so amazed sa mga dayuhang marunong magsalita ng tagalog. Sana may nagbibisaya rin noh.
Watching this brought me to tears instantly. I thought about my Lola, which I called Nanay. She raised me from birth. I would speak Tagalog fluently with my Nanay. Since she has passed in 2003, like Lt. Hansen, I feel like I've lost the language since I have no one to speak with.
So are you American? Kamusta?
Kamusta kana?
Thank you for sharing and I know exactly how you feel. God bless.
JamMasterJB hello po
Ethan Bolen

I suspect that the officer was a missionary in the PI as a young man. I say I suspect. I have met many LDS members who have done missionary work in the PI and the speak Tagalog and dialects of the areas they did their mission for the Lord.
Grabe pare! GI ka talaga (genuine Ilocano)
I'm proud that you speak ilocano Joe 。。。。
Wow, he's pretty fluent. His Tagalog accent actually sounds like how a Visayan talk when speaking Tagalog.

Wow...
I'm half filipino French Canadian, my father is pinoy but he never taught me ever Tagalog not even single word , just french and English, and l had never seen philippines how it looks like in real.... I guess my father doesn't love his own ethnicity, he prefers to marry french- canadian than PINAY....someday, I visit philippines I want to find out why my father doesn't love the Filipinos and philipines, bec I wanna know
Number one reason : it's because they probably doesn't want you to feel or experience what they've been through in life when they were living in the Philippines, it's very hard to find a better life there and they won't let you see there shitty place. I've been living there for about 11years and experienced everything in life how to survive on your own and make money. And i prefer Blonde chicks, or other race, in fact i've dated several blondies in the past, and i'm not ashame of being a "filipino" i'm proud to be one but i just don't want to marry a pinay. But don't think that Philippines is a shitty place because other areas are fucking amazing so beautiful to stay for awhile.
Really...your father does not love his own ethnicity, is that a fact coming from him or your mere assumption? marrying someone outside one's ethnicity does not mean not loving your own....just that true love is not bounded by color, race, creed, language etc. Is your dad born in Canada?
catherine gretchen corthlin wiggleferry Hi just a question, you said you are half filipino, french and canadian... does that mean that you are a 1 and 1/2 being?
half filipino + half french + half canadian = 1 and 1/2 person
Three blind mice See how they run
Lol. You may be overthinking it. Dad=Filipino and Mom=French Canadian (Which means they are the French speaking population and ancestry of Canada, more so in the Quebec area) so 1/2 Filipino 1/2 French Canadian. hope this helps :)
Kenny McCormick No you're wrong. All humans are actually fucking shits. Humans should be vanished.
What is the real name of Officer Hansen? Nagkikita pa ba kayo until now? Marunong pa ba siya mag-Ilocano? Sana nakita at nabasa niya lahat ng mga magagandang komento tungkol sa kanya.. Mabuhay!
