@@pride2184 yes and no, sure interplay itself has been dead but Obsidian is made up of a majority of people who worked on F1 and F2, and still, it should be evident that Bethesda has taken Fallout into a....less interesting path. Personally idc about the debate but for some like myself I still like to remember the amazing franchise that interplay/obsidian built
Just as a side note I like to think that (in my head anyway) they went BACK to black and white tv. Because they found that color tv took up too much energy or because people started liking a more vintage style. The same goes for how they dress. Or they found some weird health thing with color TV and new fashion clothes. I mean everything does come back around especially in fashion and design! I always liked that little touch.
Well I mean. In this particular case, people are indeed being replaced by synths. Thats a legit fear. Theres actually an 'event' where you have to figure out which guy is the synth out of 2 of the same person.
The Ruiner of chats I was trying to see if anyone pointed that out, like that is a major plot point and could sway wether you want to side with the institute or not. For anyone still reading comments 3 weeks after this video was uploaded, I have something to say. As someone who has spent their entire adult life making youtube videos, (Creator since 2006). I know how hard it is to continually churn out content week after week. It's difficult to spend time researching game after game, figuring out the tiny details, discovering the secrets, and then translating that in an entertaining way to a large audience. I may have never had the amount of viewers Mat Pat has achieved, but I know how disheartening it is when you mess up on a tiny thing and people blow it out of proportion. Mat Pat has worked for years to bring you all free entertainment. He can't possibly know everything about a game series. Everyone who is on his case about the Interplay/Bethesda debacle needs to settle down. If you can't watch his videos anymore because a man made a simple mistake, then you need to check yourself. No one is perfect. And if you only watch perfect people that make no mistakes, then get off of youtube completely, for you will find no one. Sincerely - Rich Alvarez
The T Machine I don't think he did any research at all, as shoddycast did a video on the glowing sea, and how the radiation from the bombs would pretty much dissipate within I think a month, I'll link it in a comment. It sucks because I remember when he did in-depth research on each episode, now it seems he just puts them out to get them out.
Anyone notice how when Mat says “I am determined to keep 2017 positive” it shows a graphic of a positive pregnancy test and 2017 WAS THE YEAR STEPHANIE GOT PREGNANT WITH OLLIE???!!! Real life foreshadowing is real, man!
Probably just an honest mistake. Sounds like he just wanted to throw the line in somewhere and forgot Bethesda didn't make the ones before 3. Bethesda has gone out of their way to erase Interplay from the Fallout series. Probably because of Fallout PoS, I mean BoS (not Tactics). That said, some of the devs for the original Fallout worked on Fallout 3, and were already working for Bethesda when they bought the IP because they wanted "Oblivion with guns."
Yes yes the virus we cannot mention is killing almost everyone and we're quarantined causing a lot of people to go crazy and buy lots of toilet paper for no freaking reason
Matpat, theres some concerns with this theory. I doubt you'll ever read it but I feel i must share. 1) The whole idea of Scizophrenia being within almost all the current citizens of the wasteland is rediculous xD While perhaps the first generation of humans during when the bombs fell, would possibly have this, were now 200 years into the future, so if we say the "average" lifespan is 80 years due to time advancing and general reduction of the human life span, (also barring untimely death via raider, Brotherhood, Deathclaw, etc) Wed be 2-3 generations past the original bombs, and having both a background in the medical sciences, and a family in it aswell, Scizophrenia would NOT be caused by a quick wave of radiation hitting you as the elevator decended, it would take a much more prolonged exposure time to cause immediate damage to the brain. Scizophrenia is also a brain disorder that is developed due to a stress or malfunction in the brain, but it is not genetically passed on to their children just because they have it. 2) The concerns that people have, Synths replacing them, death around every corner, etc, is not a cause of Scizophrenia or PTSD, If it was in todays world of *relative* safety, then it would be a concern. But the fears they face are legitimate concerns brought on by the world they reside in. The possibility of a deathclaw tearing you apart is a perfectly valid fear or presumption in that world, and people have adapted that as the new normal of the world. Thankyou to anyone who decided to read, I put a lot of 11:30 am thought into this c:
Yeah, as someone who struggles with PTSD, felt like the portion of the video dealing with mental health missed the mark. Get that it is topical and controversial and gets views to capitalize on society's current fixation with mental health issues, but hinging the video on it felt like a weak theory compared to some of his more well-thought out videos of the past.
The radiation from the bombs would have dissipated a LONG time before these games started. The background radiation in the Fallout series is largely concentrated in, relatively small pockets throughout the wasteland from leaking barrels of reactor waste, spent fuel, or damaged small scale reactors( that would have powered, well, damn near everything in this universe) melting down. And with many inhabitants having had access to, or having recovered, prewar technology, it stands to realize that that they could avoid the many of the more concentrated pockets of radiation. This is especially true of those that came from the vaults, as the vault dweller's Pip-Boys have inbuilt Geiger counters, they likely also have access to stores of anti-radiation drugs such as Rad-X and Radaway, and quite possibly radiation suits. Even some tribal societies of the wasteland have created homegrown anti-radiation drugs. And don't even get me started on the G.E.C.K.
In the glowing sea, which is the origin point of the storms, you not only find the denotation site of the Fallout 4 nuke but you can also find a destroyed nuclear power plant. A power plant which is still broadcasting a warning of an imminent meltdown on a loop.
At 6:56 you used a bad example No-bark Noonan was stung several times by rad scorpions and these stings pierced his skull causing him brain damage not due to radiation
anybody notice Interplay should get the clap and a half because Interplay's RPG division (named Black Isle Studios ) made the oringinal 1 & 2 Fallouts before Interplay faced bankruptcy and sold Fallout's future to Bethesda
Clap and a half? Should be a full clap, Interplay gave the name, not Bethesda. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you rush your research for a theory...
Have any of you researched deeply into Fallout's past? Bethesda didn't directly create the first two games, but certain members of Bethesda's team (who weren't in bethesda back then) did have a hand in Fallout's initial story creation.
According to this website, which Wikipedia quotes, Tim Cain, the producer of Fallout 1 at Interplay, credits Brian Fargo of the name Fallout. www.polygon.com/gaming/2012/3/8/2855595/fallout-gdc-black-isle-interplay-obsidian-bethesda
Yeah but only 2 of them before the company went under and Bethesda got the rights to the franchise. So the only company you can thank is Bethesda since the original company does not exist anymore.
Nick Dawson okay so MatPat didn't put it in, but his editors did, so ether he doesn't review what he works on or he does and didn't notice it or just didn't bother to fix it.
The minutemen are honestly the best possible ending in fallout 4. Not only do they beat the institute but they're inclusive of ghouls and synths so they have generally the best morals.
This would make more sense if the Fallout games took place right after the Great War, but remember this is 200 years later. Most people, besides ghouls, were born into the wasteland so it's mostly normal for them. They wouldn't have PTSD from being displaced and society collapsing, and I'm sure many people have PTSD from the horrors, but not as many as you say.
SpartanWarmachine i think the ptsd thing has to do with surviving while watching how a deathclaw eats your friend or a raider puts a bullet between their eyes etc.
DracotheDarkPrince but thats a normal everyday thing that had been happening since the of the great war. Eventually people would just not get PTSD from it since they know what they do
I guess you'll need to be a scientific whizz-kid and a lot of resources to create the medication, but I guess like they say; "Where there's a will, there's a way."
Certainly an interesting theory but one that falls apart rather quickly, especially the one about all of humanity having Capgras delusions and PTSD which assume that everyone was ther during the initial bombing. Only the Sole Survivor in Fallout 4 lived before and during the initial nuclear holocaust. The first 3 games had protaganists and characters who did not live through that era and hence would have already adapted to the ever present radiation. Barring certain exceptions, almost everyone you meet are descendants of humans who survived the nuclear holocaust 200 years before
@ Dead Temple Knight Dammit you're right, I suppose they might end up having those conditions due to the sheer amount of radiation they were exposed to (assuming their minds are somehow intact enough to be sentient) though at the same time we have to consider the fact that their paranoia and PTSD might also be related to their ostracization which could justify or even create some of their mental conditions (assuming again they don't degrade into feral ghouls)
An Emo Sushi true but there are places in the world where that happens now there's a possiblity some have PTSD but I feel most have them have grown accustomed to the lifestyle rather than see it as a traumatic event.
*mentions how Fallout is a good name for the series* "Good job Bethesda." Srsly matpat, did you just forget that Bethesda didn't create the Fallout series?
Sam Swarms I think he was trying to establish that Fallout might be from the perspectives of unreliable narrators... Hence their beliefs appearing justified because the main character is also having paranoid delusions.
now you know why is Institute was better... they knew humans on surface were to far gone.. if humanity would grow and make society big like in the past they needed to make humans without radiation ... witch "Father " (mc baby) was..
Small nitpick, but Bethesda didn't come up with the name Fallout, they also weren't the creators of the franchise, they just bought the intelectual property after Fallout 2 came out
For the colored tv thing: It's not that they could'nt create them, It's that they did not bother to do so, they were too focused on creating war machines and housekeeping robots.
Bethesda has 8 letters. Fallout has 7. If you add 8 and 7 you get 15. There are 5 Game Theory videos in my recommended list. So, if you divide 15 by 5 you get three. There were three listed factions at 11:44. Don't you see it? Enclave is the government, so we don't add them to the next part. The other two factions, Brotherhood of Steel and the Railroad can be added together to make two, so 2-1=1. There is 3 points on a triangle, and 1 eye. Also, the *illuminati* is green, just like the trophy in MatPat's logo. We've been lied to by all the Fascist monarchs out there, the ones who were deceiving us the whole time. I--I d-don't really know how to say this sweetly. Minecraft was Keemstar the whole time. *BUUUUUTTTTTT THAT's JUST A THEORY. A GAME THEORY!*
Gangsta Grampa Not only has everyone in the illuminati died around two hundred years ago but, their logo was an owl. Idiots like you refer to the all-seeing eye.
ok a few problems with the theory. 1. the enclave might have succeded in fixing the county had they not been destroyed. twice. mr. house didnt begin his rebuilding plans until he saw society begging to rebuild. he saw the ncr and began his plans. the ncr have begun building and are makeing good progress. also the legion are not just guys with knives. they were a real military army force that use tactics weapons and other things against the ncr. the vaults would not have helped much seeing as how they were not designed to help. they were a massive social expirament designed to test people. only 12 out of 122 vault with a nice estimate of 1000 people per vault isnt very good. if anything most vaults released worse thing than they did help. groups like the brother hood and ncr might have been able to help rebuild faster but there to busy fighting each other. thats one of fallout main points. "war never changes". even after the world ended nobody has changed. there all still fighting and killing each other. theres also giant mutant monsters all over the surface that are slaughtering and killing everybody and everything they meet. also the title fallout wasnt a bethesda idea. it was the studio interplay who made fallout 1 and 2. the game that started the series.
it also does matter what faction you join. NCR: lets people live normal ish lives and is rebuilding society and cities that are able to clean water and grow food. legion: world must exist in constant war. they only survive because there always destroying and stealing. ceaser him self says this. they need to fight the NCR just to survive. if they stop theyll starve and the entire empire will collapse.
informal geek Also, weren't House's systems heavily damaged and in some kind of "safe mode" that kept House alive but barely functioning for a long time, somewhere in the range of 150 years? If I remember correctly, New Vegas wasn't really even a thing until about a decade prior to the game taking place.
Yeah but this is Matpat. Rather than giving credit to the creators of the concept he gives it to the current owners of the franchise. Besides to be fair Black Isle studios isn't around anymore and even if most of the original team is working at Obsidian if you give them credit then you will just confuse the hell out of anyone that Didn't know the series existed before Bethesda bought it. Though to be fair the Original concept was created for Wasteland, the game Black Isle made before Fallout which was published by EA. EA wouldn't give up the name so they changed it to Fallout and reinvented it.
Eh, its a safe assumption. He gets like a week to research this stuff, just live with any innacuracies. People yelling about samurai and knights when 70% of the facts were true smh
1:32 this early into the video and I start crying. Now in 2024, march 9. MatPat I’m sure you’ll likely never see this comment but never since the first ever theory I’ve watched on your channel, to watching your lives and now watching your last theory at least the last theory you’ll be in. But I know it was for the better, now you get to focus more on your family. But after all this I’ve just got to say it “That’s just a theory, a Game theory! Thanks for watching.” I’ll miss you Mat, we’ll all miss you 💚
11:44 Hang on a sec... That's not an Enclave soldier... Thats a chaos space marine from 40k... Please tell me that that was an intricate and fun little nod to all those 40k fans and that one of you making this video plays the game itself... And not that someone on the editing team screwed up... Because if it's the latter, I'm gonna have to break out the XV8 Crisis Battlesuits and take your editing HQ by storm.
It's still in early release but I'm fairly certain none of the lore will change in the final release. Most of the things getting fixed are bug-oriented, with additions of more precursor stuff. There's a story underneath what the game has already and it could be interesting to piece it together.
well its still an early release meaning there will be more story placed around everywhere like hidden logs and more underwater bases you cant really rush these things until the game is fully finished. its a good idea tho but just give it some time right now theres all this potential of story the creator can put in but after its fully realeased he cant exactly put more story just fix bugs and add items maby they will make dlc that would add even more to the story
All this time later, and this is still a really solid theory. Just get people to stop having to deal with the horror of wasteland life, and that's how you get society running again. Maybe the overseer of vault 101 had it right after all.
I wonder how the postscarcity situation plays into that. You see, in the Fallout universe the world's population is much smaller than it was in the past, yet the land is littered with scrap, food, weapons and ammunition meant for a much larger population. You can play through all of Fallout 4 in survival mode (where you have needs like hunger and thirst) living entirely off all the preserved prewar food you find everywhere. And in any 'modern' Fallout game you play, by the end of the game you'll have stacks and stacks and stacks of weapons, armors, clothes and ammunition. You don't need to buy anything. What this means is that people don't really need to produce anything. You want a house? Plenty of those around. You want electronics? Take as many as you can carry. You want food? Don't bother starting up a farm, there's free food all over the place. So what incentive is there for people to live constructive, productive lives? There's very little value in anything they could make. The only things that are really valuable are weapons and armor, and most of those are prewar as well. Because there's no real gain to be had in being productive, 80-90% of humans you find in the Commonwealth and the Capital Wasteland are raiders. They get doped up and fight over piles of junk because that's all there is left to do for them.
Most of that scavenging comes attached to serious dangers, though. Setting up a stationary, but well defended settlement where you grow your own food is much safer than scavenging the ruins for your next hit of Sugar Bombs and running into a glowing mole rat.
I came here to post that. Made me stop watching the video because it is such simple thing to find out. If he can't be bothered to find out what group originally made the game, how can I trust any of his "research".
Wait, the main character couldn’t be affected by the radiation, because he was with his son at that platform the same time, the institute needs the “clean” human dna, so they took his/her son and left the main protagonist as a backup plan. So the main protagonist should not be affected/damaged by the radiation. Therefore the things he/she sees are probably not just some hallucinations
The institute could have made a mistake. They could not have known that he was still outside when the nuke exploded. They might just have assumed that everybody in the bunker was already inside when the war started.
@@jerome1lm Nah, The son is with the protagonist, if the institute can get clean human DNA samples from the son, then the protagonist should also be clean from radiation
@@jerome1lm I don’t think so though. But if the radiation is so weak that a simple body block can totally avoid it, then I don’t think it would be strong enough to affect one’s brain function to the extent of having vivid hallucinations
"pockets of people prepared for the great war" Actually, Matt, only ONE of those Vaults did what they promised to do. The rest of them were used to conduct horrific experiments upon the inhabitants, many of which ended up dead, insane, or mutated beyond recognition. The lore of the series explains that this is because Vault Tec never actually expected the bombs to drop, so they modified their vaults to conduct social and genetic experiments to see how people would react in a post apocalyptic scenario. And as for New Vegas not using their technology to help rebuild America, that is actually what Mr. House had planned to do. If you talk to him throughout the game, he says he can get humans into outer space within the next 100 years. The problem is that his lack of software drivers, the NCR, and the Legion made it difficult for him to focus on improving the wasteland, so you need to bring an end to the war before he can do anything about it.
Actually 12 of them were meant to do what they were supposed to. Most of them still failed. Even then, people had heard so many drills before the war that half of them didn't even run to the vault when the bombs did finally fall.
+Tiny Desk Engineer Not quite. As was the point in Fallout 3, the Vault's limited gene-pool meant that the population would not survive; this is already evident by the smaller population and especially a lack of children after the Lone Wanderer's generation. Along with Vault 111, the experiment technically called for the Overseer to wait for an all-clear signal - that never would've come. Still, regardless the experiment didn't work due to the vault staff. The only known _control_ vaults to have successfully worked, was Vault 8, which resulted in Vault City. A few (known) non-control vaults did kind of succeed at having a population, such as Vault 15, Vault 21, Vault 29, Vault 34, Vault 77, Vault 81, and Vault 101(kind of), though most of their experiments _did_ fail.
Rhas 'Churol but if you chose not to kill the overseer, and went back to the vault later on, they do hint that they will bring in more people to put it back to working order, meaning that it did in fact do what vault tec advertised what the other vaults were supposed to do.

Yep. 2 Years later I read this comment.
"Well done Bathesda" on naming the game Fallout? No, that would be well done Interplay and Black Isle Studios, who developed the original game.
just goes to show you how little matpat actually knows about games.
Leave Bethesda alone
You are right matpat should do research

Spiketrooper Games Good commentary on the video.
Yeah, as someone who struggles with PTSD, felt like the portion of the video dealing with mental health missed the mark.
Get that it is topical and controversial and gets views to capitalize on society's current fixation with mental health issues,
but hinging the video on it felt like a weak theory compared to some of his more well-thought out videos of the past.
Yeah he mentioned that people are going through PTSD, but very few people are 200 yearso ld in the series. That wouldn't make sense.
Could the nuclear fallout cause the prolonged exposure required for schizophrenia to develop
during the games radiation is relatively rare to encounter and settlers would probably be able to avoid it.

Bethesda bought fallout so E
They may have bought it but they didn’t name it first
@@osamalinbaden1996 that's like saying Nintendo made Sonic because they bought the franchise from Sega.
@Abdullah M Specifically Sega. It's why they don't make consoles any more.
Well, it's Bethesda that created all those setting problems.
Interplay named it fallout not Bethesda. And it's a sequel to Wasteland

Why clap for Bethesda? Didn't Black Isle start the game series?
Interplay did. It made me kinda mad when he congratulated Bethesda on it instead of Interplay but w/e he is human and humans make mistakes.
Because he was too busy being smug to bother doing basic research.

The minutemen are honestly the best possible ending in fallout 4. Not only do they beat the institute but they're inclusive of ghouls and synths so they have generally the best morals.
Oxhorn has a great video about this. He talks about why the Minutemen are the best solution.
SpartanWarmachine if it happened right after the great war you would either be dead, a ghoul, or a mutated humanoid monster
SpartanWarmachine i think the ptsd thing has to do with surviving while watching how a deathclaw eats your friend or a raider puts a bullet between their eyes etc.
Imagine someone you love is being mutilated by a super mutant in front of your eyes.
Oh, it's not horrific or anything.
DracotheDarkPrince but thats a normal everyday thing that had been happening since the of the great war. Eventually people would just not get PTSD from it since they know what they do
You don't see a deathclaw killing your family twice. It's like saying "If you are born after the great war you wont feel anything to your loved ones"
Matpat's solution to curing the wasteland is putting them all on drugs
Well, more like medical drugs rather than more outlawed drugs. Essentially it's like trying to cure a junky's addiction with medication.
General Grievous Hancock would aprove
At least Hancock has the right idea
Where are you suppose to get those drugs from? All of the stores are pillaged or controlled by raiders or ghouls.
Barring certain exceptions, almost everyone you meet are descendants of humans who survived the nuclear holocaust 200 years before
4 games before fallout 4 + the spinoffs
You forgot all the prewar ghouls
@ Dead Temple Knight Dammit you're right, I suppose they might end up having those conditions due to the sheer amount of radiation they were exposed to (assuming their minds are somehow intact enough to be sentient) though at the same time we have to consider the fact that their paranoia and PTSD might also be related to their ostracization which could justify or even create some of their mental conditions (assuming again they don't degrade into feral ghouls)
Johnny Lau They still have to do with raiders and mutants
An Emo Sushi true but there are places in the world where that happens now there's a possiblity some have PTSD but I feel most have them have grown accustomed to the lifestyle rather than see it as a traumatic event.

Tantrika X Yup. Not really delusional if if the the things your afraid of aren't delusions. And sorry to hear about the PTSD man, that sucks.
Sam Swarms I think he was trying to establish that Fallout might be from the perspectives of unreliable narrators... Hence their beliefs appearing justified because the main character is also having paranoid delusions.
now you know why is Institute was better... they knew humans on surface were to far gone.. if humanity would grow and make society big like in the past
they needed to make humans without radiation ...

Idiots like you refer to the all-seeing eye.
"2016 was a scary year" oh past matpat you have no idea
ok a few problems with the theory. 1. the enclave might have succeded in fixing the county had they not been destroyed. twice. mr. house didnt begin his rebuilding plans until he saw society begging to rebuild. he saw the ncr and began his plans. the ncr have begun building and are makeing good progress. also the legion are not just guys with knives. they were a real military army force that use tactics weapons and other things against the ncr. the vaults would not have helped much seeing as how they were not designed to help. they were a massive social expirament designed to test people. only 12 out of 122 vault with a nice estimate of 1000 people per vault isnt very good. if anything most vaults released worse thing than they did help. groups like the brother hood and ncr might have been able to help rebuild faster but there to busy fighting each other. thats one of fallout main points.
11:45 I think joining the space marines would probably be the best for the wasteland.
That's... debatable.
They'd go from war never changes to war never ends.
not the best grammar but I get what you mean
informal geek Also, weren't House's systems heavily damaged and in some kind of "safe mode" that kept House alive but barely functioning for a long time, somewhere in the range of 150 years? If I remember correctly, New Vegas wasn't really even a thing until about a decade prior to the game taking place.
But... Bethesda didn't name the fallout franchise...
caleb williams
And chaos space marines aren't the enclave.
They only bought the IP, interplay are the creators
Yeah but this is Matpat. Rather than giving credit to the creators of the concept he gives it to the current owners of the franchise. Besides to be fair Black Isle studios isn't around anymore and even if most of the original team is working at Obsidian if you give them credit then you will just confuse the hell out of anyone that Didn't know the series existed before Bethesda bought it. Though to be fair the Original concept was created for Wasteland, the game Black Isle made before Fallout which was published by EA. EA wouldn't give up the name so they changed it to Fallout and reinvented it.
caleb williams I cringed so hard when he said that. DX

It's still in early release but I'm fairly certain none of the lore will change in the final release. Most of the things getting fixed are bug-oriented, with additions of more precursor stuff. There's a story underneath what the game has already and it could be interesting to piece it together.
well its still an early release meaning there will be more story placed around everywhere like hidden logs and more underwater bases you cant really rush these things until the game is fully finished. its a good idea tho but just give it some time right now theres all this potential of story the creator can put in but after its fully realeased he cant exactly put more story just fix bugs and add items maby they will make dlc that would add even more to the story
he can't, there isn't enough of the game there yet to make a well researched theory.
All this time later, and this is still a really solid theory.
Just get people to stop having to deal with the horror of wasteland life, and that's how
you get society running again.
Maybe the overseer of vault 101 had it right after all.
Did I see a space marine from games work shop at 11:45 or am I tripping?

You did
yeah. Just wanted to say that
Spud UK 78 Chips you are a gamer to? *one single tear of joy rolls down cheek*

It's so true.
Vulpes dropping the truth
Fallout 4 yes. But from my experience in Fallout new vegas i can never find ammo, never.
Most of that scavenging comes attached to serious dangers, though. Setting up a stationary, but well defended settlement where you grow your own food is much safer than scavenging the ruins for your next hit of Sugar Bombs and running into a glowing mole rat.
Bethesda wasn’t the company to name the franchise! That was Interplay, who did FO 1 and 2.
Bethesda didn't come up with the name Fallout.
😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 meh
Minronis THANK YOU
Yeah, It was the creators of 1, 2 and New Vegas, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they were called Black Isle Studios...
Minronis Wow.....who know? 😵😕
They were Black Isle, and now some of their old crew are in Obsidian.
BETHESDA DIDNT COME UP WITH THE NAME MATPAT IT WAS INTERPLAY
... but doing basic research is hard
I came here to post that. Made me stop watching the video because it is such simple thing to find out. If he can't be bothered to find out what group originally made the game, how can I trust any of his "research".
ET Gamer Sometimes you just take things for granted
ET Gamer Thank you
Spuds Larsson do you know what taking something for granted means?
@@puppythoughts6528 True, now I get what you meant. Could the son have been shielded to some extend by his mother holding him? I don't know.
@@jerome1lm I don’t think so though. But if the radiation is so weak that a simple body block can totally avoid it, then I don’t think it would be strong enough to affect one’s brain function to the extent of having vivid hallucinations
@@puppythoughts6528 You're probably right
5:47 nah, I actually recognized it about ten minutes into playing fallout itself.
11:45 Am I crazy, is the dude from "The Enclave" right there literally a Space Marine? Just for clarification, never played a Fallout game before.
That is a space marine. The Enclave were shown earlier in the video.
Ah, thanks.
No, that's a screenshot from a mod that puts Warhammer 40K Space Marine power armor into the game.
Yep... PURGING TIME FOR THE EMPEROR!!!
R2 No, he just doesn't care enough to get an actual image I believe.
"pockets of people prepared for the great war"
Actually, Matt, only ONE of those Vaults did what they promised to do.
Rhas 'Churol vault 101 was practically the only one that worked
also, vault 111 would have worked perfectly - but kellog shut down everyone but you, the player.
+Tiny Desk Engineer
Not quite.

After watching the Fallout TV series. I hate to say that this theory has been proven wrong. The answer was rampant capitalism and ensuring they don't lose profits
