Your videos are so much more than just thrifted finds. We get to see a beautiful part of the country and sometimes get a little history lesson. I love how you commentate on what you would use a particular piece for even when you don’t buy it. I’m just getting into trying to keep real plants alive in my home and planters are expensive so getting something from the thrift store to use is brilliant!
I enjoy your videos so much. You have a real talent for making a person feel she is right there with you. I have learned a lot. I love how you go over even the small details of a particular find. Thank you and please continue!
@tatu197 She had another woman she did a show with, I’ve only seen comments I didn’t watch but some preferred watching them together, and this commenter prefers watching her alone. Take care :)
I lost my wonderful precious mom and dad just 72 hours apart from each other my heart has been bleeding ever since. I think with those hands I would put a photo of them together and look at it knowing they are still together in the hand of the Lord for all eternity those hands are wonderful and what a wonderful find for you to have gotten them. I love to watch you on UA-cam. You brighten my day!
I'm not really sure about this, but when you construct a clay vessel by hand, if it's a hollow vessel, I think (?) you're supposed to leave a hole in it somewhere so that it keeps its shape while being fired in the kiln. Maybe that explains the hole in your "primitive" candle holder. Or maybe I dreamed this in a previous life. I'd get a second opinion to be sure.
The view was so stunning as you were driving. I’m so in love with your mask. I was glued to my screen as you were shopping and picking all of the treasures. Another exciting episode with great finds.
Your Greek fisherman's hat is adorable on you. I spent 2 years of my life north of Athens, Greece. My 6th and 7th grade. My dad was a military Chaplain and we joined him there. We lived with a Greek attorney and his wife and daughter. The house was sealed into 2 separate sections so we had a house. We were 1 block off the Aegean Sea and lived around the corner from Onasis' sister. The Christina would be docked in the bay quite often. Great memories!! Love your videos and finds ❤
Aww such wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing ❤️ I’ve never been to Greece but it’s my husbands number 1 place he wants to visit so hopefully we can get over there soon. Glad you brought Oregon treasures with you!
Laura, what I especially like about your tutorials is that you have some great decorating ideas and are a font of information. Your home is lovely and your home is always so beautifully displayed. TFS
I got so lightheaded I almost fell out of my chair seeing all the turquoise squashblossoms, cuff bracelets, and rings you found on your trip to Hood River! I sure wish I had been subscribed in 2021, and seen some of this haul on your First Fridays. Oh my!!
I used to watch another thrifting channel but you are now my favorite because you inspire everyone instead of being just an antique dealer. Please continue I love your channel and your eyes match your personality!
I was so happy to see you posted a video today. I was afraid with your move coming up you wouldn't have time. I enjoy your videos so much--your finds are amazing. It seems like you have a magic talent for picking interesting and unique items. Sometimes when you pick up something on camera, I think "no" but when you style it at the end I think "yes." I live in far Eastern Oregon and when I drive to Portland, I always think Hood River is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Thanks.
@@brookeperk93 I'm originally from McKeesport. Living currently at Middletown PA. Worked for goodwill for 5 yrs as a supervisor. Loved it, pay was horrible.
When I saw all the turquoise, I literally exclaimed out loud some sort of sound between “hoohoo” and a chuckle knowing you’d have a ball going through them all! 😂
The hole in the top of the ceramic piece is simply for venting as the piece is fired. They would usually put this on the bottom if it doesn't need to hold liquids so must have been artistic license :)

Beautiful presentation, very extravagant. I wish you all lasting happiness, success and progress in your work. Health and Safety with sincere thanks and respect.
Laura, Hood River is my hometown, and the Gorge is "home" to me. But since I've moved to Salem, I don't get up there often. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of the most beautiful place I love!
Laura your camera work is great and I love your commentary. Hope your move goes smooth and thanks for the distraction in my social distanced Covid life. Hugs from Hubbards Nova Scotia.
Hi Laura, I lived in Oregon from 1989 - 2005. First landed in Tigard and then lived in SW Portland, NE Portland till 2005. Moved back East from where I am originally from. Love watching your videos. Brings back so many happy memories, I have been to most of the places that you show. Found many beautiful treasures while living there. Best Rummage sales, thrift store, garage sales, antique malls. Brought a lot of these treasures found in Oregon with me on my move to NJ. Miss those day's of fantastic finds!!!!
Laura, love the way you dress and your style of clothing. So much more upbeat and appealing. You’re finds are always fabulous and you really add to the video by your stylish attire!! Like to see well dressed people on videos!! So much more appealing!!
Laura, watching you to go into these places and decide what you should pick up is amazing. And then as you describe what you are taking home and what you are leaving and why, we learn new things. Such beautiful finds on this trip. I’d love to visit the west coast and go to some of these Good Wills and Antique shops. They really do seem a lot more exciting than the ones in my area.
Laura, You live in such a beautiful area of the country. The thrift stores are just out of this world. Such a lucky girl. Your husband is going to be happy 🤘 What a great haul!
So excited today when I realized you had uploaded a new video! The ride, the scenery, the finds, everything came together to make a really enjoyable viewing! Thanks!
What a beautiful view to look at while your driving, You bought some gorgoues pieces as always Laura such a lovely journey coming thrift shopping with you. Stay well, till next time, 😊👍🛍️🛒

That last store was amazing. I'm happy to see appreciation of interesting old stuff. I loved driving around exploring new places. Beautiful countryside.
I love your channel and your vintage finds. I am an architect and I also like compositions of paintings as you do in your living room. I also have a habit of moving everything around, when I find a new object or furniture for the environment. Anyway, if I were the winner of the hands I would put them in the dresser at the main entrance to my house. They would serve as a tray for placing keys, glasses, and even mail. They would be like a welcome invitation to everyone who came to visit me.
Your videos are wonderful. I love to go virtual shopping with you and see all the beautiful things. There's nothing like better than to go thrift shopping. You never know what you'll find, that's what makes it so thrilling. Happy Easter to you and hubby. Take care and be safe.
Great video Laura. Lovely to watch it here in the UK. Shops are closed here still so it's good to be able to watch someone thrifting if I can't do it myself!

My favorite piece was definitely the Oaxacan candlestick. I started collecting Oaxacan pottery years ago when we visited the neighborhood where this pottery was discovered . Dona Rosa and her family discovered how to make this pottery after a mistake in baking regular pottery. There’s a neighborhood that make this pottery. We visited one of the homes and that’s when I bought a few pieces and began my collection. You’re correct in stating they are pricy . Great find😄👍
