My thoughts is that ulterior motives is an early version of yesterday is gone, never been digitalised except for those 17 seconds, and was only broadcast once before being replaced with this one
Don't think it's this one guys. The melody only sounds ever so slightly similar. The clip we have sounds like a woman singing, also to me she sounds like she has a Japanese accent.
I don't think it's this song either. To me it sounds like a native speaker singing as I don't hear anything "foreign sounding", but I could be wrong. After comparing this song to EKT though, the voice is very similar. Similar vocal inflections and similar vibrato, even a similar vocal range. I haven't heard any example that comes close to this. Jamie Phelan could have composed or sung EKT for a commercial, or it could simply be an unreleased song. Until I hear a voice similar to this one, or this gets debunked, I'm sticking to this lead.
This band is NOT it. This band is more with that hiipe/Beatles vibe, while EKT is with that 80s rock with thy strange thing that makes cool sounds. I don't know about the singer, we should check if it has another bands.
@@facilitybloxer42 There is simply no proof of this. It's possible Jamie Phelan didn't release EKT, or sang it in some commercial. To me, this voice is the most similar I've heard to EKT.
WE HAVIN SOME ULTERIOR MOTIVES WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
0:31 - 0:34 kinda sounds like ekt, it sounds like the "you're counting all the sheep in the-" part
Maybe the real ulterior motives were the songs we met on the way.
me when im counting all the sheeps in the sky
caught up in a world of lies
everyone knows that ✨
that you got ✨ ulterior motives ✨

@@Sandalleno33-uw2ixHonestly, you can be right.
HOLY SH*T
Hold on... That is eerily similar
Perhaps this is an early version of EKT? Or maybe EKT sampled this? This search is hurting my brain!
Oh, sampling! Good theory
Discogs says Jamie Phelan is the lead singer, if anything he's the one who "knows that"

Definitely sounds similar
I don't think so, the vocal is just very similar
Definitely the same singer
There is no proof of this. But you can be right...
Confirmed NOT ekt. Said by Farrington, the singer of this band. Bruh

The singer also isn't it, sadly.

@@nitey123 search "savage garden Everyone Knows that" you will find a very cool theory
There is no proof of this. The voice is also oddly similar.
