I saw Alice Cooper in 1972 perform the "Killer" album. That was, and still is, in my Top 5 Greatest Rock Concerts that I have been to of all time.
I missed the Cooper show at the Met Center when there was a tear gas attack. Seen him the next time he came around in 78 and never missed him since. I am going on 58.

Alice's prime was 1971-1972 so you were very lucky, Killer is my favorite lp and biggest influence plus the very first album I ever bought when I was 12 yrs old. You Drive Me Nervous was in my opinion the first real heavy metal song I ever heard.

As a fellow michigander & musician I second that. Ted Nugent deserves some credit too, politics aside he has had a huge impact in the evolution of rock & in metal & unfortunately because of his political views he gets ignored.
you had some great music come from your state I cheated I grew up in California born and raised SF bay area mostly the San Jose area and there was great music from that part of the bay Doobie Brothers and Sammy Hagar I can't think of the rest I haven't had my coffee yet before I plug in my neighbors love me lol
You know how you're disappointed when a favorite aging band sounds out of breath while trying to sound like the used-to? Alice Cooper still has the breath to belt it out and sounds like he always did! Awesome!

When his hair isn't dyed (it was originally dark brown naturally) which it is his hair is white as snow. Dude looks old. Alice just does things to appear younger not because he's a vain egotist. It's because the fans expect Alice Cooper not Vince Furnier on stage.

Mr. Furnier is a legend. He's the kind of Christian I could hang around without wanting to go to the guillotine. Guillotine concert was a great show by the way. So was the Xmas show where the band beat up Santa as an encore.
Love Alice. Love Sammy. Been a fan of both since the 70s. Met Alice in 1989 at my work for a music distributor. Biggest influence on my career in 1 day. Smartest nicest rock star I ever met.
What I REALLY love about clips like these is the way Sammy gets up there with his axe and is 100% in it and mixing it up. Fearless! Go Sammy! Go!
Wow! Last time I was at Cooperstown was night before Superbowl XLIV in February 2015 when Phoenix, AZ was host. There were so many people from different parts of world that made this an experience that I will never forget. Uncle Alice was there too!

I grew up with Alice Cooper and I love him! We had so much fun with his music. Saw him live 1 time in McAllen Texas at the Villareal Convention Center and he blew us away! I will never forget that show. Thanks for all the great times, Alice.
Being from Phoenix area I hear so many great stories about people running into Alice at the grocery store, golf course or any normal place like that and everyone say he is the nicest person on the planet! Nothing but respect for him!

Seen Alice 4 times, my favorite show of his was at the St Paul Civic Center Theater, seats about 6000. His guest band that year, and on my birthday, was Guns and Roses first tour.

Alice sounds as good as he did when I was a teen.
We've met him a couple of times having lunch there. One of the most polite people I've ever seen. Girls were young and idea who he is but remembered him and thought he was cool. I'd read he closed the restaurant a while back. Glad to see it may be open again.

I was at a private charity event in Orange County years ago. Alice Cooper was there and performed. He is a very good guy, and donated his day. He walked around talking to people, super good guy.

Saw Alice when I was 14 and Montrose. The golden days of rock n roll. Had my Alice poster with his snake on my wall. School's out is a timeless rock anthem. Billion Dollar Babies is a masterpiece but Killer is my fav Alice album. Oh, and kids. Albums were these big black vinyl discs that made music when spun on a turntable. Crazy times.

Saw Alice a few times. In 1988 where I worked we got to dress up for holloween. I borrowed my mom's eye liner and dressed up as Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper is a legend I meet him on River Rd. In Savanna GA I went up and said Hey Alice Cooper he shook my hand and shoos me away I will never forget it...
It was the early seventies and my life could have turned out bad...really bad ....or even worse ..But Alice Cooper gave me an outlet to channeled that anger ...He let me look at the dark side and then leave it like he did with his character . I got the message...you don't have to be something...just because you think it ....let it go . So I immersed myself in music , told myself it'll be over some day and got as big as my dad and very disturbed mother and it did get better . I had my own family it went great and I have great (happy and confident ) son his wonderful wife and the apple of my eye.... my granddaughter . The chains are broken...life is good . PK

Fun show !!! You guys were great! I was in the hospital and my friend gave me his ipod & earphones. I was listening to Alice Cooper as they wheeled me to X-ray. It was as fun as being in the hospital can get.
That was a great performance. The drummer was so tight to the classic Alice band.

I have always thought that Alice Cooper is one of the coolest people to ever live. The persona, the stories, not to mention his music. I was a kid of the 80s, but 70s Alice Cooper was my bread and butter. My father used to play schools out for my brother and me every summer when school let out. And crazy as it seems, the older I got the more his music made sense to me, and the more I love it. Same with Sammy Hagar. My first favorite song by Sammy Hagar was I Can't Drive 55. The old man also made sure I heard it every time it came on the radio, and my brother and I would go nuts. All through his VH era, but once again, the older I got the more his music made sense to me, and the further back I went into his library. I will still have a beer or many to either of these two's music and love every minute of it. Rock On!

It was the late 70s', and I was the guest vocalist with a band named 'Rise', and we were the opening act for The Neal Smith Band (Alice Cooper's original drummer). In the audience that evening was my brother; my kid sister Alice ; Stevie Nick's photographer: Herbie W.; Dave 'the skull', the bass player who joined Aerosmith after Tom Hamilton contracted cancer; and my favorite lady of all time, MJ; Danny C., who later became a 'roadie' for Pat Benatar, and Joey W., who later became the 'roadie' for virtually everyone in rock n roll. My opening number was written by (drum roll, please): Sammy Hagar, from his first album with the Ronnie Montrose group: 'Rock The Nation'. Oh, that was a good night.

I was 10 in 1970 and schools out was my favorite song, I couldn't wait to get out. In hindsight I wished I had studied because it really can help you in more ways than I realized, but I was class clown. Education, knowledge are key, learn.
Working out of Shep's house (formerly Alice's) for Alive Ent with Shep and Alice as an intern during film school was one of the highlights of my life! So kind and then Shep let me have his Maui house for 2 weeks what a dream and drive the Rolls to the Grammies I will never forget!!!

I'd love to see you in Savannah, Ga, (January of 2022), but I'm afraid I'd lose my original aspect of the band playing Cobo back in '72 but God bless you and your amazing hard work to keep REAL rock and roll together. @@frankieedwards9825 Hey Eddie, Boy did I screw up the date of A/C which is @ the Savannah Civic Center on February 5th 2022. ANYWHOOO!!!, Yeah...smoked a lot of "dirt weed" during that show and was amazed we made it back to Birmingham, MI the same week, (30+ miles only). YIKES!!! At any rate, they say you can't go back and I'm beginning to believe 'em. I didn't know Vince played the R/O Theater OR Pine Knob back in the day...! Where in the hell was I? As alluded to in my previous post...I'll probably have to pass on my visit to Savannah and go out and re-buy the "Killer" CD and irritate the neighbors 3 doors up and down. THX for your post!
