There was a choice to destroy some guys office with Ciri cant remember its been so long. I didnt do IT. Geralt then gave her a beautiful speech about keeping your emotions. When i discovered that it was a bad choice that costed me my bad ending i gave up on Ciris character as a whole.

Yeah. Olgierd wasn't all innocent either. And why would I want to piss off the literal devil for a random dude who literally sold his soul and thought he can outsmart the devil?
Dont listen to these guys. This is not a bad choice whatsoever. 1. He totally deserved it. IT never even occured to him that he could be in danger cus of a moon thing pretty stupid of him.. 2. Rewards are pretty amazing despite what gameranx says. Even tho the sword for beating him is the best. 3. You can even Ask Odim about Ciri. He will show concern for you and help you get a better ending Olgierd had it commin. He commited many crimes. You can help him if you want but there is no denying that
There's actually a cute thing with Heart of Stone. If you haven't found Ciri yet, and you let Gaunter wander off with Olgierd's soul, one of your options is to ask where she is. He'll admit he can't actually see her, but will then provide you with step by step instructions through those hidden decision points later in the game.
In Witcher 3 I did give up the guy so I could get the saddle, you get to keep in New Game+ so play the game multiple times until you get all the rewards then save the guy after. If you really want to play it that many times that is.
did you know Gaunter is a cross reference to Walter O'Dim from the Dark Tower Series, that the devs are a fan of the series and made a joke that the Witcher's universe is just one of the levels of the Tower itself. Theres also a reference to the deadlights/pennywise, and the Crimson King.
The worst decision you can make in Witcher 3 is not doing that quest to free Geralt from the djinn curse that made him fall in love with Yenefer, the most toxic, abusive waifu in all gamedom.
I will happily go on a date with Cid, Vincent, and our pet cat. Best outcome. And I am a major introvert, so awkward silence is totally normal. Also, killing Scratch or the Owlbear Cub is absolutely evil…but sadly very easy to do unless you know what to do.
If you've ever played the Gold Box AD&D games from the 80's-90's, the worst decision in Pool of Radiance you can make is to join the dragon Tyranthraxus at the end of the game. Any character that does join becomes part of his army. If you add your whole party, the game ends. If you add part of your party, anyone who changed sides is now your enemy, and you have to fight not only the dragon, but your former party members as well.
The whole Wrex situation can be completely avoided if you talk to him between missions and get his hidden mission. Once completed he is 100% guaranteed to live. It's not even an issue once you get to Virmire. Only took me 6 years to discover his mission.
I feel like the Gaunter O’Dimm decision is more nuanced because the whole time you’re learning what bad things Olgierd has done (before and after he was cursed by O’Dimm) and how he was complicit in summoning O’Dimm to make a deal. And you have the Witcher motto of not interfering to think about. I let him die my first playthrough and felt it was justified because Olgierd was a bad person who got himself into that deal and to avoid conflict with a seemingly immortal and all-powerful devil who had Geralt’s soul hostage. The saddle was a nice reward.
What do you mean giving the soul to O'Dimm is bad? Olgierd sold his soul and got what he paid for and now it is time to pay up. I had no problem with it and I was 100% on Master Mirrors side. I didn't even count my actions as morally questionable until I saw someone talk about it a while ago. It was a simple contract, you pay x and get y and I still don't understand why breaking a contract should be a good thing.
I've recently played the witcher 3 again and the game prepares you for this. First of all, you play as her, see that she can fight. When you play as her she knows how to use a sword, knows how to make potions and bombs and also has powerful magical abilities. The game also shows you that she can run from powerful beings like crones, can hold herself well against whoreson junior, she even outruns the wild hunt. And the characters also tell you these things, for example when you find Dandelion she tells you not to worry about her and she can protect herself. The problem with Witcher is that it's a really long game with too many side quests, sometimes player forgets what has happened before.
I'm probably alone in this, but as someone who goes home after work and wants to chill with video games I hate choices in games as it's more ways for me to be responsible for fuck ups if i make a wrong choice. It's okay if it doesn't amount to anything or if it's clear what's good or bad like 'infamous', but I don't want to be given 10 seconds to choose between 3 big choices.
Killing Iron fist Alexander also locks you out of the best item in the game. Flat 15% damage boost to everything if you complete the quest is well worth helping him.
Honestly I only faced gaunter o dimm out of curiosity. The more I knew about olgierd, the less I cared about him losing his soul. Heck gaunter even helps you to save ciri if you side with him. I adore his character

Nobody is truly good in any souls-like game. The closest we come to it are maybe Siegfried the Onion Knight or Patches, who simply capitalizes on the greed of others.
When that one NPC shows up and roasts Ulrika basically saying he's going to tell the queen a lie about Melve and it's people. After the cutscene ended I picked him up and threw him into the ocean. That softlocked me out of progressing any of her story from that point on :(

The most cursed decisions should be the decisions made in Farcry games where the game begins and ends in a matter of moments if you choose to do so and your game abruptly ends just like that. It's cursed but it's also funny.
I would argue that siding with Songbird in Phantom Liberty is a worse choice than doing nothing. Regardless of her motivations, or how you feel about her as a character, she's clearly in over her head, and putting all of society at risk.
I did exactly what you described in number 2 and not once did I feel like it was a poor decision. The guy had it coming and to ask for nothing is very in character
It still plays out the same. I passed all my stuff to my companion and went in with ratty clothes. Once I "joined" the cult I simply reclaimed my things from the companion (Nick Valentine) and then wiped out the cult.
You didn't even mention with Wrex, if you don't do his mission before that you're effed and it locks you out of dialogue options because you haven't earned his loyalty.
Killing Wrex, and making several other decisions along the way... is the only way to save Mordin in the end.. so I obviously did an entire playthrough just for that.
Yeah kotor 1 and 2 just gave me choices that I just place my controller down, and sit in indecision for five minutes. Such amazing storytelling. Beat star wars games ever.
Killing Wrex is actually not pointless. First, it allows you to save Mordin in 3rd game (you also need to discard research results in 2nd). Second, it allows you to sabotage the cure without losing war resources AND prevent second galactic war in future. Also, content aside, not saving Mayers is the best decision you can make. The loyalty mission does make it easier if your Para/Rene score isn't high enough to convince him outright with dialogue.
@@Slayer398 The funny thing about what you just said I had no idea about that. And then after a mission I went up to wrex and the family heirloom mission opened up
Prey 2017 allowed you to make some absolute dipshit choices: taking the early solo escape pod, killing the AI companion January, killing the only living pilot left on the ship, … killing your girlfriend.
Damn January has the B A L L S to say "no alien powers!" And be a literal binder robot.
I killed that damn thing and got out.
I get it memories from what the real yu did... but how exactly you going to test morality without a alien reference?
Also i hate how i still cant tell if there blowing it up or purging the xeno is the right call.. guess it doesnt matter?
Soon I'll be telling my kids "I grew up watching Gameranx" and they're all probably not gonna believe me because Gameranx by then will be a big company or somedhzzy

I didn’t try to save Olgierd because I was literally afraid of Gaunter O Dimm
Dang, truly terrible choice, but a realistic one
I knew Geralt could deal with him, somehow. I mean, he is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, after all.
Not like Olgierd didn't deserve it.
He will show concern for you and help you get a better ending
Olgierd had it commin. He commited many crimes. You can help him if you want but there is no denying that
Mass Effect was such a great series, Along with Dragon Age
the first Dragon Age was amazing - number 2 was such an insult that I never played another. Mass Effect is KOTOR for cowards.
@@JohnnyWednesday😂😂😂😂
Mass Effect and KOTOR are completely different games. Both are great in their own way.
In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening you can steal from the shop and everyone calls you a thief after that.
There are a lot of quests in the Souls games that can be fumbled very easily
almost all of them xD
did you know Gaunter is a cross reference to Walter O'Dim from the Dark Tower Series, that the devs are a fan of the series and made a joke that the Witcher's universe is just one of the levels of the Tower itself.
Ashley killed Rex in my game. Regretted it the whole series
She seems to enjoy it a little too much, too...
The worst decision is not having an Anna Henrietta romance option in Blood and Wine
I remember in Dishonored you had a choice to save a dude from the witch or drop him in the giant boiling pot. I dropped him and I felt pretty evil lol
👍
poor alexander...but the crack pot animation is very satisfying
The whole Wrex situation can be completely avoided if you talk to him between missions and get his hidden mission.
Once completed he is 100% guaranteed to live.
It's not even an issue once you get to Virmire.
Only took me 6 years to discover his mission.
FF7 Rebirth: You can choose which dates you want via post game by replaying the Chapter. It's not a BIG deal.
You have to stand next to the Constant for exactly 47 seconds.
Wait a minute. If Cait Sith, Vincent, and Cid are the pity outcome...
Does that mean Barret counts as an actual romance option this time?
Uh-oh.
Just... do not slay Paarthurnax...
but if you accept the reward from gaunter, specifically the swift as the wind option you get the coolest saddle for roach :D
Yeah, and Gaunter O'Dimm is always true to his word and treated Geralt with kindness. I don't understand how he is the bad guy.
I sacrificed olgierd in pretty much all of my playthroughs lol
I see it exactly like you and I honestly just also really like O'Dimm
True I look it up months before and the reward is worth it
I've recently played the witcher 3 again and the game prepares you for this.
Offing Alexander at Farum Azula in a final duel was not the hardest thing i'd ever had to do... but it's close
In Baldur's Gate 3, I simply killed Scratch.
A cursed list to bless my evening, thanks y'all
Gamranx your the sole reason i got to know cool facts about games

I'm probably alone in this, but as someone who goes home after work and wants to chill with video games
I hate choices in games as it's more ways for me to be responsible for fuck ups if i make a wrong choice.
It's okay if it doesn't amount to anything or if it's clear what's good or bad like 'infamous', but I don't want to be given 10 seconds to choose between 3 big choices.

Just wait until Shadow of the Erdtree reveals that Alexander was actually super evil.
👍
Killing Iron fist Alexander also locks you out of the best item in the game. Flat 15% damage boost to everything if you complete the quest is well worth helping him.
"It's not fair to call any decisions you're making the worst, because you didn't actually know what you were doing."
Welcome to parenthood, buddy.
Honestly I only faced gaunter o dimm out of curiosity. The more I knew about olgierd, the less I cared about him losing his soul. Heck gaunter even helps you to save ciri if you side with him. I adore his character

Similar to Phantom Liberty, Kingdom Come: Deliverance have a couple timed quests. And they have no indication, except questgiver says it's urgent. There is no worst feeling than, after a week of in-game tame, seeing that quest is failed
That softlocked me out of progressing any of her story from that point on :(
the sky-wheel "date" with cait, vince and cid is literally the BEST decision to make! 😫
Giving The Girl to the Human Hydra in Fear and Hunger is pretty cursed, but so is most of the game.
Thanks for mentioning the Phantom Liberty one, I accidentally did this and let's just say, thank the Gaming gods for the Cyberpunks amazing saves
Even as my most evil Durge runs, i never give Scratch away, you have to be a messed up soul to do this.

The most cursed decisions should be the decisions made in Farcry games where the game begins and ends in a matter of moments if you choose to do so and your game abruptly ends just like that. It's cursed but it's also funny.
I'm so angry, I will never get to experience Cyberpunk at it's fullest. The game crashes constantly on PC...
It works perfectly fine on ps5
I would argue that siding with Songbird in Phantom Liberty is a worse choice than doing nothing. Regardless of her motivations, or how you feel about her as a character, she's clearly in over her head, and putting all of society at risk.
the outfit the MC was rockin for cyberpunk got me good
"Why would you do that to that dog, what's wrong with you" 🤣🤣
I did exactly what you described in number 2 and not once did I feel like it was a poor decision. The guy had it coming and to ask for nothing is very in character
What would happen if you go up to the NPC with literally nothing and offer everything like you got nothing to give 🤣
It still plays out the same. I passed all my stuff to my companion and went in with ratty clothes. Once I "joined" the cult I simply reclaimed my things from the companion (Nick Valentine) and then wiped out the cult.
Dogmeat yelping is one of the most cursed moments of any game ever.
You didn't even mention with Wrex, if you don't do his mission before that you're effed and it locks you out of dialogue options because you haven't earned his loyalty.
I'm sorry your incorrect pronunciation of "Melve" in Dragon's Dogma 2 is living rent free in my head
Killing Wrex, and making several other decisions along the way... is the only way to save Mordin in the end.. so I obviously did an entire playthrough just for that.
The plot twist at the end of Kotor. My first playthrough i either killed or turned all my companions to the dark side. It was glorious
Mission annoyed me. I had the wookiee take care of her and I laughed and laughed.
Yeah kotor 1 and 2 just gave me choices that I just place my controller down, and sit in indecision for five minutes. Such amazing storytelling.
Beat star wars games ever.
Spider-Man web of shadows and infamous second son have some crazy choices you can make too
Been long since the mandatory quota of spec ops the line in a top 10 video... Was almost sure it was coming up in this one 🤔
If Alexander didn't want to die, Miyazaki shouldn't have given him one of the best talismans in the game
Dishonored.... my 1st play through I killed everyone, saving the empress and turning her into a tyrant.
The worst choice in video games is to just stand around and get hit by the first Goomba in Super Mario Bros.
Because screw her.
@gameranx. Melve sounds like Helgen from Skyrim. First town you're in gets destroyed by a dragon. In Skyrim, it was Alduin.
The clipping in Dragons Dogma 2 is some of the most egregious I've seen... I know it's not a huge deal, but personally it drives me nuts.
Whatever you do, DON'T take 18:09 out of context...
