Watch Dogs 2 needs to be on here. You play the "Hero" who can literally send the F.B.I. or Cartel on random citizens and each other, Steal money from peoples bank accounts, cause traffic accidents and blackouts at your whim. its fun but hilarious how evil you can be in gameplay and still be the good guys lol. Rimworld should be on this list. You can kidnap someone, turn their remains into human leather, turn that leather into a hat then send the hat to their faction to improve relations without them noticing.
I agree but I can also see why it's not. This list seems to be games where you do these things. Rimworld and other strategy type games is where you tell someone to do these things. I'd say that it needs to be at the top of its own type of list

We all need to vent once in a while. And while I often lack the capacity to be one stone-cold SOB, this does not mean I am not a violent person. Violence is a basic human instinct. It's in our DNA. It's been encoded in our genes for millennia. I guarantee that our caveman ancestors would not have learned to survive without it.
I'd add Needy Girl Overdose to the list, the game not only gives you the tools to be an abusive, dominant, evil manager, but actually encourages you. If you ever try to treat Ame like a human being you'll end up with the most boring endings but the crazier thing you make her do end up giving more interesting endings to the game
I ran through Mass Effect One as a Shepard who started Paragon but gradually devolved into Renegade as he got more and more sick of The Council's bullshit.
For real, on top of all the normal evil stuff you could do to people and characters and evil choices, you could literally eat, live baby chicks, just for the hell of it…
Not sure how Skyrim is not on this list. The Ebony blade comes to mind for a start, but you can be much more evil than that. I did a character that just soul trapped everyone he killed, just so he could a have collection of trapped souls. Only did quests if he could get trapped souls from it, including the Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves Guild, and the civil war. Kept trapped souls in every container in his house, and then made Lydia his house steward, so she would have to live there. Didn't care about anything else unless it was beneficial to him.
Outer Worlds was once of those games that doesn't really let you be as evil as you want. They definitely wanted things to go a certain way with that game
I think Blade and Sorcery deserved a top 3 spot. Everyone I've ever known who played it, walked away wondering if they should book a therapy session. 😂
I always play that way too. I can’t do otherwise. But I think some people just enjoy the catharsis of an evil play through. I know that Jennifer Hale, who voices Jane Shepard, has said that voicing the evil/Renegade lines was a lot of fun. But I will never hear most of them, sad to say

I remember playing star wars KOTOR 1&2 a lot as a kid, had such a blast while playing every time. Sadly it didnt age well imo :/ a remake would be insane
In KOTOR II, regardless of whether I was playing light or dark side, I always made those 2 Bounty Hunters throw themselves off of a balcony on Nar Shadda. It was just too funny to pass up. 😅
I don't know what I find more irksome, the fact that Planescape Torment isn't on the list, or the fact that these people think there's narrative context and motivation for gameplay mechanics in the Persona games. Yes, we, the players, pursue social links to enhance our access to the compendiums and gain other gameplay benefits(stronger weapons/armor/accessories in earlier segments of subsequent cycles, access to stronger Personas, more potent recovery items/accessories, etc.), but the narrative of the games clearly demonstrates that the character is following the Social Link/Confidant stories because they're genuinely involved with that other person's life as a friend/lover in some cases.
My point of reference is always sneaking a weapon into the school in Deus Ex: Invisible War. I don't play first person games anymore due to sim sickness, but there's a dark place in my heart reserved for the memory of making children cry "I'm on fire!" and posing their corpses.
For Pathfinder keep in mind that The Swarm that Walks has a full-tilt evil necromancer as its competition...you're REALLY evil when being a guy who enslaves the dead to scourge the land is the LESS evil option.
