Would be much more interesting if the catalyst of Batman's mental metathesis is the trauma from what he witnessed, and not just some poison that would have had that same effect anyway, regardless of the torture he endured, as the writing seems to imply with the other characters infected by the same toxin.
I think it’s because the concept of Batman’s willpower has already been well established. Time and time again he’s been through stuff that should have broken him and driven him to insanity, but time and time again he’s came out on top and shown that he’s truly incorruptible. So the only way to break him is chemical, and not psychological.

I think he sees like a bat with sonar, maybe when he laughs the vibrations that break his laughter or send it back to him through his ears, and he can tell how far or how close, and in his head, he can see a picture almost in like a sonar light lines that break.
If so he's like a omnipotent Daredevil with no moral compass. And considering what Daredevil does to someone as light work that is terrifying. And this also opens up Bruce's entire Martial Skillset since I can tell he adjusts his techniques to the threat he's dealing with. So if he considers you a threat you would much rather be dead at that point.
As someone who avoids this…thing like the plague, I have to admit titling your video with “can he reproduce?” sent a jolt of primal fear down my spine.
Damn this is such a good explaination video, not once was i bored watching this and your voice is surprisingly calming, and yes BATMAN IS DA BOMB ahahha
Imagine after Arkham Knight there was another game where the virus resurfaces after a few years, turning him into the Batman Who Laughs. It could have had the Bat family taking on all of the dark versions of Batman. Or they could have had to find another version of him.
In the comics it shows him take off that thing with the spikes that appears to be some kind of visor. he sees through the thing with the pointy things on his face.
Since I was a child in the 80s reading the Justice League comic books I knew that Batman Bruce Wayne literally had a way to take out every single person in the Justice League and him becoming the Batman who laughs seeing this story absolutely proves it
I never understand how you people believed this. A simple push from superman or wonder woman or flash would kill him. Only reason batman could survive anyone of them is if the author of the story is with him. Mary sue ish if you ask me
@@SA-uz9sn ya true even though m not dc fan but i know superman or wonder woman can kill him instantly we saw Superman's reflex in film when he see flash in microsecs nd batman is just a human but still he has very low chance bcz he got big brain nd uses it thats why as in video he says if any of the heros survives he lose already
I usually don't care about Batman-variations but all of these Dark Knights are very very cool and even if BWL isn't my favorite,he is still awesome both in design and just...villain-ness.
Hot take! Anything to do with Batman is always like that kid that would say: "yeah but my favourite superhero knows all your favourite heroes weaknesses and can just invent a way to beat him. So hes better than yours and would win in a fight" He would literally be killed by any other member of the JL, most of the suicide squad and inter-planetsry being in one hit.
Just had a cool thought... I believe the Batman Who Laughs has countermeasures for if a good batman synthesizes an anti-joker toxin or antidote for the joker toxin that could revert the Batman Who Laughs back to being Bruce Wayne/Batman. This countermeasure is different from the joker toxin that he already has that can turn anyone in the multiverse into a Batman Who Laughs and his fusion with Dr. Manhatten's body. Think of it as insurance that he stays Batman Who Laughs.
I believe that's the problem with that universe. he knows everyone's weakness and he doesn't see himself as a threat so when things like this happens there's no weakness other than bringing his parents back to life.
As to the seeing part, I have a theory. The metal mask acts as an amplifier for echolocation, and his. Horns act as receivers that send the signal to his brain, that way he can "see".
Quick description of the Batman who laughs: Basically you know Batman, the guy who can literally kill gods as just a human, make him a literal god, and then turn him evil, that’s the Batman who laughs
Lmao they really did overuse him for covid revenue, but his original appearance in Metal was awesome. If you just read that and Death Metal that he’s in he still rules. Even though he was blatantly shoehorned into Death Metal at the eleventh hour
I’m actually more surprised he killed the Bat Family. As crazy as he is, wouldn’t he be more likely to turn them into other Jokers? He does it with those crazy Robins. And even does it later with alternate universe League members.
This character is one of the most powerful villains in the dc and marvel universe. I can see this dude giving the avengers a tough fight and still win.
The way they incorporate Manhattan and his powers was just an unfathomably stupid plot device. Probably genuinely the absolute worst modern day comics asspull I've ever seen.
I like how I’m depth he discusses his morality and reason I’d love to hear an actual psychologist that’s a comic geek break down things in a rabbit hole type of depth
This is another example of a comic book story that is so incredibly contrived and nonsensical it pretty much justifies the hate some people have for comic books and the comic book “readers”. (Because, come on. You are looking at pictures and you don’t really want to read books.)
I think Batman is a metahuman I believe they made subtle nods only twice and I believe his ability is a minor one I would guess enhanced reflexes or being able to see a quarter of a second into the future something like that but Batman would never ever tell anyone under any circumstance. Which is why it makes it all the more of a threatening ability imagine if Barry Allen pretended to be human and under no circumstance ever revealed his speed even if he was 1/10 as fast as he is supposed to be it would make it such a huge advantage it would make it so his enemies always underestimated him it would make it so no one could ever properly prepare for him because all you know is that he disappears he makes 100% saving throws he seemingly knows what's going to happen before it does. Maybe this isn't the case however I feel like Batman would never reveal a metahuman ability if he had one. He also couldhaveSome sort of healing Factor . in the Christopher Nolan movies we saw what a toll it took on Bruce Wayne to essentially be Batman for just a few weeks in what would be known as in game time
The batman who laughs is a great concept. Its also one you should use sparingly, and thats the problem. He's flippin EVERYWHERE!! Should have kept it to Dark Knights "Metal," and maybe a few other, appropriate, places, but he became popular, so they, of course, couldn't help themselves, and just slapped him into any stories they could think of, nonsensical or otherwise. A shame really, potential was huge.

It’s actually a special kind of metal. He can see everything going on, the visor blocks out the things he doesn’t want to see.
Just say you didn't read it
"can he reproduce" is clearly the most important question
As someone who avoids this…thing like the plague, I have to admit titling your video with “can he reproduce?” sent a jolt of primal fear down my spine.
Such a cool concept, ruined by writers being edgy for the sake of it. Turning him into a god and having him take over the multiverse is sooooo stupid.
Damn this is such a good explaination video, not once was i bored watching this and your voice is surprisingly calming, and yes BATMAN IS DA BOMB ahahha
First time watching happy to have stopped by. Thanks for your time to explain this.
I never thought to ask if The Batman Who Laughs could reproduce…now I’m asking that one question
Batman Who Laughs is one of the most banger designs in comic history
An immoral Batman is far worse than any iteration of the Joker.
Creating this Batman is truly the Joker's ultimate victory.
The joker isn't sterile. Also he mentioned him and Diana had a lot of kids that DC refuse to show or give any care too
so the title basically says "is The Batman Who Laughs breedable"
Imagine after Arkham Knight there was another game where the virus resurfaces after a few years, turning him into the Batman Who Laughs.
It could have had the Bat family taking on all of the dark versions of Batman. Or they could have had to find another version of him.
I loved his cameo in Lord Of The Rings.
Of course the first question is " can he reproduce? " 💀
In the comics it shows him take off that thing with the spikes that appears to be some kind of visor. he sees through the thing with the pointy things on his face.
Since I was a child in the 80s reading the Justice League comic books I knew that Batman Bruce Wayne literally had a way to take out every single person in the Justice League and him becoming the Batman who laughs seeing this story absolutely proves it
justice league: doom includes that when his files of their weaknesses is infiltrated
One of m favourite Batman stories....thank you so much!!
I usually don't care about Batman-variations but all of these Dark Knights are very very cool and even if BWL isn't my favorite,he is still awesome both in design and just...villain-ness.
I really love the concept, the actual execution however, I can't stand.
Hot take!
Anything to do with Batman is always like that kid that would say: "yeah but my favourite superhero knows all your favourite heroes weaknesses and can just invent a way to beat him. So hes better than yours and would win in a fight"
He would literally be killed by any other member of the JL, most of the suicide squad and inter-planetsry being in one hit.
You could literally say that about any character
One shot for every "The Batman who laughs" in this video.
If Joker can get pregnant, Batman who laughs can too.
2:14 "Bruised Wayne"
The batman who laughs really needs a design change cause judge death is getting his legal team ready that battle.
Cringe fence mask vs Brutal Spike
Batmans speciality: the absolute plot armor
I believe that's the problem with that universe. he knows everyone's weakness and he doesn't see himself as a threat so when things like this happens there's no weakness other than bringing his parents back to life.
well, batman's weakness are just regular bullets...
The skin for him in MK11 for Noob Saibot was awesome!
As to the seeing part, I have a theory. The metal mask acts as an amplifier for echolocation, and his. Horns act as receivers that send the signal to his brain, that way he can "see".
Quick description of the Batman who laughs:
Basically you know Batman, the guy who can literally kill gods as just a human, make him a literal god, and then turn him evil, that’s the Batman who laughs
Accurate description
".........you don't even need to originate from the dark multiverse to-----"
TO HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR
Alan Moore is rolling in his grave. Or bed.
Considering how batman can literally beat Jason Todd redhood with his eyes close that's how everything thing batman knows is now the jokers
I like how I’m depth he discusses his morality and reason I’d love to hear an actual psychologist that’s a comic geek break down things in a rabbit hole type of depth
Batman went from being a street level hero to being in the JLA.
Founding Father
@@ooneybird27 read a nightwing comic. It’s not ground level batman but it’s as close as we’ve got
@@myman8336 Hah! Was about to say "My Man" but saw your username. Lol
@@ooneybird27 i mean, he still does. Do you even read the comics? He does both.
@@ooneybird27 he still does
I often find that when people say stuff like this they dont actually read comics
This was the video that made me subscribe. Good stuff
Batman who laughs changed everything in the DCU, everything!
He also couldhaveSome sort of healing Factor . in the Christopher Nolan movies we saw what a toll it took on Bruce Wayne to essentially be Batman for just a few weeks in what would be known as in game time
He is immortal
He wears a visor because it looks fucking awesome.
7:14 if Batman and joker are different sides of the same coin, then the Batman who laughs must be _the edge_
James Gunn needs to make a movie about the Batman who laughs
It’s crazy how a toxin made him this powerful 😂
This was the best video i saw since the year begun
You find out in the comics that he's wearing a visor because Bruce makes one aswell so he's probably just got normal eyes
"Batted an eye" at 3:31, lmao
The Joker had a daughter with Harley in Injustice
Holy s***I just learned a whole lot! THANKS!
Why is reproduction a constant question on these videos lmao
The batman who laughs is a great concept. Its also one you should use sparingly, and thats the problem. He's flippin EVERYWHERE!! Should have kept it to Dark Knights "Metal," and maybe a few other, appropriate, places, but he became popular, so they, of course, couldn't help themselves, and just slapped him into any stories they could think of, nonsensical or otherwise. A shame really, potential was huge.
It's a fucking comic book.Your welcome.
Thanks
Friggin amazing video about one of my fav characters, 10/10.
Only thing that bugged me was at 0:27 "Existenal"? Lol on behalf of someone who also talks fast and gets tongue tied a lot it's ex-is-ten-tial (yes its nitpicky but that's why I formatted the comment to hide it from first glance 😂)
Why does “Reproducing” have to be in the most random character’s titles
The only way to beat him is for the batman and the joker to work together. Hell, they didn't even hesitate to team up to take that guy down
People used to complain about Superman and his gary stu complex so he was nerfed and now is the Batman who has the same problem.
This man is asking the real questions
Always wondered as a kid what would happen to Bruce Wayne if he was truly infected with Gotham's clown Prince and we get to see it with the Batman who laughs literally had these images in my head as a kid and I'm so glad somebody did it and infected Batman this is fucking fantastic
Cool
but realistically he would remain a ground level psycho, not some coamic level multiverse being.
This is why anime is better than whatever we make. This sounds like a little kid wrote all of it.
Bro anime sucks😊
Batman who laughs is basically a scenario in which Joker wins
