I love the post venom bane. It truly shows his mental fortitude and strength. He fights and beats the addiction and rebuilds his muscles on his own. Later storylines where he goes vigilante, venom free, are astounding. Bane is unique in that he's not really a true villain. His only desire was to defeat batman...and even then not kill him. Just prove he was superior. When he lets that go he becomes a lethal anti-hero.

I don't think you are talking about Canon Bane vs Batman. In Canon, Bane is Batman's bitch in everything apart from strength. In Canon Batman has beaten Bane many many many more times than Bane has beaten Batman. In the very origin comics of Bane, Knightfall... Bane has outright stated that he needs to tire Batman out for 30 days depriving him of food and rest, tiring him and injuring him constantly with endless battles with escaped Arkham Asylum inmates (who are all metahumans), *BEFORE HE CAN EVER HOPE TO BEAT BATMAN IN A ONE ON ONE FIGHT...* Which means Bane knows and has said already in his origin comics that he cannot win a fair fight with a fresh and regular Batman, he can only win and break the Bat if the Bat is already worn out from a month of food and sleep deprivation, and injuries from battles. I can easily show you scans, if you ask for it... But it's obvious that the only reason Bane let Arkham inmates out was to tire down Batman to the point where he has a fighting chance against Batman. Considering also the fact that Bane always went for lethal blows but Batman always holds back his lethal blows in the fight. On canon, Batman handed Bane his ass multiple times both when Bane was with Venom and when he was without it. Whenever it was a fair fight. It's a win but it would have an asterisk. Like beating Mike Tyson at his prime in a fight after he had been up for 3 days and fought 5 other Jabonis before I showed up. I won but without all that setup he'd have destroyed me. To quote Creed "I won but I didn't beat him." The thing is even without that, Bane still consistently messes Batman up before he wins due to his own flaws like needing Venom. He thinks and acts superhumanly fast but that can be a weakness if he is too angry to actually use them and Bruce will fuck with your head. The costume and tactics he uses are made to confuse and intimidate regular thugs and he will go deep dive into your psyche in ways Scarecrow wishes he could mess with you to win.
Nah I’d say bane is a bit more than a dude on steroids lol, dude definitely has some Hercules type DNA. That fool is nowhere near similar to a normal man

I think a lot of people dont realize Bane is heavily inspired by marvel's Venom , the biggest nod being the name of the drug , but consider the effects of the drug, very similar to the symbiote, the costume color scheme is also similar, and the characters are both foils to their heroes
Both are good/entertaining performances , it’s just neither is actually the character I love for the reasons I love them , Bane without his venom (or so heavily deemphasized it may as well not exist) and Venom without Spider-Man (and the cool venom symbol) become deal breakers for me
Ohkay so when Bane broke Batman’s back. Bruce was exhausted from crime fighting. Earlier that night Bane released all the villains & convicts from Arkham. Bats spend the whole entire time putting them back. When return Bane was in the Batcave. Bane tossed him around. Bruce was to tired. THEN Bane broke his back
I agree. The film also showed he is more than just muscle and is actually extremely intelligent and was also using psychological attacks on Batman along with physical.

@@TheCulturedMan34 I'm of the belief that when it comes to superheroes it's better to just make them similar to their comic counterparts. Ben Afleck's Batman is a perfect example in the warehouse fight scene. Bale's Batman getting defeated by a simple stab wound and him not being the most impressive physically just didn't work for me. A stab wound is like a minor inconvenience for Batman and he can throw around grown men like children.
If he's anything like a meth-head, he'd have to keep upping his dose to get the same results at the same constant. His body would get used to the original dose & require more to get the same results. He would probably end up overdosing the way he keeps using Venom
That is not how drugs work. I used to do heroin. But there does come a point something in your body (liver most likely) breaks because the dose is so high.
Explained everything except the why exactly he wears a mask in the Dark Knight Rises... In the movie they just hint that is because of his "injuries", but what injuries? Is he missing his lower jaw? How does he eat? How is he capable of speaking? How does he remove his mask? Why is it "extremely painful"? Very vague explanations.
4:07 About that scene: That's not venom. That's another drug called Titan; a chimera between an improved venom base with Poison Ivy's plants' elements.
alil sad you didn't mention how venom affected him in the long run witch they showed in the animated Batman beyond series, but other than that a really juicy video:3
hidden fact: Bane (Tom hardy) in Nolan trilogy did NOT get powers from "venom" substance, instead he got it from the forbidden purple flower that only grows in Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson) mountain top hideout. The same core substance used by Scarecrow, instead being hallucigenic, the blue-purple flower give Bane hyper-adrenaline rush to battle his old wounds.
RIP Jeep Swenson (Bane from Batman & Robin). Poor guy just couldn't catch a break. That photo of him in full Bane costume with his parents is sooo heartwarming.
Always assumed Bane was a representation of steroid abuse tbh. Literally pumps a synthetic substance into his veins, grows muscular and becomes incredibly aggressive
All movies need to be made like resident evil animation. Because they just can't depict how Bane is really supposed to look and function like in real movies
@13:40, unless I'm mistaken Bane faced Batman AFTER Batman had defeated a dozen(don't know precise number) of his villains, all of whom were sent after Batman. BY Bane. So Batman was weakened, exhausted and battered. While Bane was fresh and prepared.

In the Drark Knight Rises the only reason why Batman was left alive was by Bane was so Bruce could have his mind broken by watching Gotham being destroyed. So to say that Bane couldn't kill Batman is inaccurate in my opinion. He broke his back in their first fight, shattered his mask and knew who he was all along. All he had to do was simply crush is head in or break his neck or shoot him in the head as he was lying there helpless. Other then that it was a very good video and most informative.
they should have made a movie(s) of Bane during the same period they were making the Dark Knight Trilogy because this team was amazing and would have made Bane a household name!
Venom sounds like amped up Trenbolone. His nads would look like mould spores. Great breakdown. Lots of things I didn’t know. My comic knowledge is patchy at best.
You should also mention that to take on Batman, Bane needed to wear Bruce down. He let all the inmates in arkham out, and waited until Bruce rounded them all up, exhausted, and with pneumonia, before he decided to strike and fight him. So I think deep down inside, he knew, even with the venom, he didn't stand a chance against batman. Bane was smart af, very strong, and a pretty impressive villIan! But what he did was kind of a cowardly move. He wouldn't fight Bruce until he could strike when he was his weakest. Knightfall will always be my fave batman story, bexauae it shows just how strong batman truly is! Loved this video btw!❤
I think he could beat Batman without venom, as a matter of fact it seems to be a hindrance more than an advantage. He either loses control or the shock of the Batfamily cutting his supply defeats him, over reliance on it makes him dumb in most adaptations, without he can think clearly, and THAT will defeat the Bat.
I think Bane is a great character, but also a great character example that sends a message of _"Don't Do Drugs Kids!"_ because while the effects will be great in the moment, in the long term it will destroy your body completely later on. It's like watching those shows where people inject themselves with Synthol who blow out their muscles with liquid and tons of infections that come with it, but also never gain any actual muscle strength because its not actually adding anything to strengthen them.
I like what Batman Beyond did with Bane, showing him confined to a chair on life support after his body's been ravaged by Venom.
Yeah. Really showed how much damage it did over the years.

So do I. Helps me feel in charge!
I like the original Bane. Tom Hardy’s portrayal matched with the comic Bane as far as his fighting skills, genius level intellect, and tactician. I just wished the gave him the Venom.
I'm fine with him not having the venom. Hes stopped using venom before in the comics and was just as dangerous.
They gave Tom Hardy the Venom, but it was the symbiote one.
Bane voice in Dark Knight Rises is my favorite voice
you also have to remember that when bane broke batmans back when they first met, he had worn him down mentally and physically, so he never deafted him at his best
Bane wore him down first? You mean he prepared for the fight so that invalidated his victory?
@@overlorddanteBane out batman batman. He prepped
Bane also broke Alfred's neck in front of Robin once too
It's a win but it would have an asterisk. Like beating Mike Tyson at his prime in a fight after he had been up for 3 days and fought 5 other Jabonis before I showed up. I won but without all that setup he'd have destroyed me. To quote Creed "I won but I didn't beat him."
The thing is even without that, Bane still consistently messes Batman up before he wins due to his own flaws like needing Venom.
Deafted?!
So Bane is just a guy high on steroids, Batman is a martial artist with tech, and Joker is a deranged man .... All so simple yet beautiful...
Joker may actually have the ability to influence reality, or manipulate probability.....It's speculative
@@TRELLT77 I think this would ruin the joker.
Nah I’d say bane is a bit more than a dude on steroids lol, dude definitely has some Hercules type DNA. That fool is nowhere near similar to a normal man
Tom Hardy turned Bane onto one of the best villains of the 2000s along with Heath Ledger! Christopher Nolan did the BEST Batman movies! They can never be touched!! “Your a big guy, for you” hahaha classic scene and killer movie!
When I learned that Tom was Bane, I had to rewatch it to see. I could not see Tom as Bane, just Bane.
@@iddan1205 Nolan told Tom when he first called him for the Role that he was going to have to captivate people with his eyes and his voice, I think he did a solid job at it
Bravo Nolan!
Yeah the whole Trilogy was killer. That was awesome that Liam Neason was the villain and now there was smaller villains in the whole trilogy like Scarecrow, Dagit and so forth.
I think a lot of people dont realize Bane is heavily inspired by marvel's Venom , the biggest nod being the name of the drug , but consider the effects of the drug, very similar to the symbiote, the costume color scheme is also similar, and the characters are both foils to their heroes
And both are played by Tom😱
@@daltontabor6041 literally never realized this lmaoo (probably because neither portrayal is…. good 😂)
Both are good/entertaining performances , it’s just neither is actually the character I love for the reasons I love them , Bane without his venom (or so heavily deemphasized it may as well not exist) and Venom without Spider-Man (and the cool venom symbol) become deal breakers for me
@@lsixty30 exactly ! I mean the part about neither being the actual character.
Was that Ever confirmed that Marvel’s Venom inspired the Drug’s name?
I can't help but when I played the batman arkham games
Bane: "we juicing braahh!!" 💀💀🤣
Ohkay so when Bane broke Batman’s back. Bruce was exhausted from crime fighting. Earlier that night Bane released all the villains & convicts from Arkham. Bats spend the whole entire time putting them back. When return Bane was in the Batcave. Bane tossed him around. Bruce was to tired. THEN Bane broke his back
I love the live film version of Bane, it fits more rather than the big, hulk like versions.
I agree. The film also showed he is more than just muscle and is actually extremely intelligent and was also using psychological attacks on Batman along with physical.
Christopher nolan didnt want any of his characters super human. thata why bane doesn't have the venom. now Affleck's batman if bane were to be in it he would most likely have venom
@@unclejesse22546 I always thought Nolan's movies made everyone somewhat more realistic and grounded. Makes Bane more intimidating as a person and villain
@@TheCulturedMan34 right me to that's why Iike them.
Wow, u deserve more than a like button. The detail u taught us is amazing. Thank u
13 years later, we get the answer of why he wears the mask in The Dark Knight Rises! Great content!
@@Hiihtopipathank you for having common sense

good little video. Thanks for sharing.🤘🏻🙂👌🏻
I was wondering the same things... and yes still wondering.
TMNT
Thank u lollll
It would be extremely painful………..For you
Love this video bane is my favourite batman bud guy
Because no one knew who he was until he put on the mask 🤦
4:07 About that scene: That's not venom. That's another drug called Titan; a chimera between an improved venom base with Poison Ivy's plants' elements.
alil sad you didn't mention how venom affected him in the long run witch they showed in the animated Batman beyond series, but other than that a really juicy video:3
Heck yeah content to go to sleep too. Subscribed. Thank you in advance.
This is crazy how this is about a fictional character like how detailed it is almost sounds real
Bane wears the mask...cause it will be painful...for YOU!
hidden fact:
Bane (Tom hardy) in Nolan trilogy did NOT get powers from "venom" substance, instead he got it from the forbidden purple flower that only grows in Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson) mountain top hideout. The same core substance used by Scarecrow, instead being hallucigenic, the blue-purple flower give Bane hyper-adrenaline rush to battle his old wounds.
How is that a fact?
@@Page00yeahwell he just made it up, that’s how.
Awesome vid guys! I always knew Bane had an interesting past. But never knew the whole story.
Why does this video sound like it’s been written by someone who doesn’t speak English as a first language and voiced by an AI?
Bane has 4 letters. Hulk has 4 letters. Coincidence? 😅
#IlluminatiConfirmed

I love how he can just increase in mass, like thermodynamics doesn't apply
RIP Jeep Swenson (Bane from Batman & Robin). Poor guy just couldn't catch a break.
That photo of him in full Bane costume with his parents is sooo heartwarming.
I love bane from the movie. Tom hardy done a fantastic job.
Shocked they didn’t mention Batman beyond.
In the world of RPGs (Rifts), BANE is a "Juicer".
A drug-induced/enhanced Mercenary...
Always assumed Bane was a representation of steroid abuse tbh. Literally pumps a synthetic substance into his veins, grows muscular and becomes incredibly aggressive
Liver king as Bane lol
Batman isn't all that Special as far as Superheroes go. All that he has is Plot Armor. Nothing else.
What do you mean, he’s got two of the greatest superpowers, money and prep time. /j
13:43 Bane broke Batman's back and chose to let Batman live. He could have easily made the choice to kill Batman but he chose to let him live.
The point of breaking a man is not just to break him, it's to let him live knowing he's been broken.

Yeah the narrator stutters a bit too. Interesting choice of career, with speech impediments
Using meth won't turn me into Bane? My hopes and dreams have been crushed.
Bane wore a mask after what those men in that prison did to his mouth at the bottom of that hole. It was painful and unpleasant for him.

Never knew Bane had a daughter. Hopefully we see more of her
Bane did have a daughter in a comic book I don't know if they took a blood sample from him in the matter of what they did with wolverine and his children specially x-23
Then later on, they will make a bane female version. Wtf rotten style of hollywood movie
@@allanjonalisidro7007 that actually could be interesting DEPENDING on how/also who writes It and who would play the role, if done right it would be awesome women in main roles in films ISN’T A NEW THING, in the 90s we had the alien trilogy, this had a female lead AND WAS ABSOLUTELY LOVED gaining a cult following, JUST PROVING IT WORKS WHEN DONE RIGHT not half assed which is the problem with the ones done in the modern day
In the Drark Knight Rises the only reason why Batman was left alive was by Bane was so Bruce could have his mind broken by watching Gotham being destroyed.
"Torture? Yes...but not of your body...of your soul."
Underrated line in the film, IMHO.
Where do you get all the anatomy pics in ur thumbnail? They are awesome
Vengeance was a great character. Wish they had done more with her.
This actor is the only actor whom should play bane for the rest of this century 😂
15:08 Bane was also killed by The Arkham Knight in the Arkham Knight comics
they should have made a movie(s) of Bane during the same period they were making the Dark Knight Trilogy because this team was amazing and would have made Bane a household name!
lmao at the video ending with "[meth and PCP can turn you into Bane...but alas, it's illegal]"
14:36 Did the names get mixed up here? Or is Batman also a neck-crushing, back-breaking villain?
A MARVELous video about the DC Universe? Outrageous
Venom sounds like amped up Trenbolone. His nads would look like mould spores. Great breakdown. Lots of things I didn’t know. My comic knowledge is patchy at best.
Love bane In dark knight
Same!! That’s what got me into Bane! Tom Hardy did a killer job!! A lot went into creating that voice
The REAL reason why Bane hasn't/couldn't/wouldn't or whatever is because DC kinda need their hero to live lol

Bane vs Hulk, who would win? Answer = Hulk with ease.
Hey, what roof rack do you have, I’ve been looking to spice my runner up!
Brilliant. Just got in bed. Will be a nice listen.
Hey wear did you get the image on the left of your thumbnail?
Bane wears a mask because it's easier to draw a character in a mask.
Also masks are cool
@@kindlingking That too. Well, almost all masks.
Batman's is also highly influenced by his trauma from having witnessed the death of his parents. It's integral to his characterization.🤷🏾♂️
Which book did you use for the image at the left of the thumbnail?
