This popped up and I love wheaters. My favorites are Larceny either single barrel or small batch, and Bardstown Origins BIB. I enjoy the chemistry between you two. Y'all remind me of how my wife and I were. She passed away 5 years ago.

@Beyondwhiskeyrow Her name was Terry. We met and got married in a 3 month span. 22 great years and 2 awesome children. We met later in life, I was 37 and she was 29.
In NW Oregon Makers 46 sells for $36, I just started drinking bourbon three months ago and my first buys were Makers 46, Elijah Craig small batch and Buffalo Trace. I have added Evan William's black label, Even William's single barrel, Russell's Reserve 10 year and Eagle Rare. Of the seven I keep going back to my first three the most. Don't know yet what the next rip across the river will add to the shelf. Enjoy your show.
Here in Western NY. 46 is about the same price. Mid to high 30s. 46CS is low 60s

I’ve always tasted that “nutty” or peanut butter taste in 46 so I’m glad to hear Im not crazy 😜. 46 cask strength is one of my favorites
If you're going to buy an expensive whiskey, you know, one that pushes the $10 price point that the most expensive whiskies cost, you should make sure it's one that Jamie likes as well. If she's on board, price is not an issue!

Never had Old Elk but I always have Maker's Mark & 46 handy.

M46, has a permanent spot on my bar, it's so good for the price, great value. A couple months ago I got an Old Elk straight wheat cask strength that's really good.

i been sipping the 46..and enjoy it..but the MM 101 is my choice..
Been wanting to pick ip an Old Elk just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Maybe try knob creek. It’s pretty sweet with just a bit of spice.
I have KC Smoked Maple on my shelf. Is that the one or a different one I should try?

Both good daily bourbons. For a real treat, step up the MM46 to a wood finished series like FAE-01 or FAE-02. Very difficult to find now that the cat is out of the bag, unless your'e willing to pay ridiculous secondary market prices. Luckily, I got mine early.

Glad it worked out. Both are favorites. Old Elk taste higher proof which I enjoy, and the Makers has a certain richness that I feel some of the other Makers products lack. 🥃

@@Beyondwhiskeyrow that hadn’t occurred to me, although the 46 I have has been open for a while, and drinks very smooth. If you want to go down the slightly spicier wheat range lane, I might also suggest Larceny or Garrison Brothers.
I've not had the Old Elk, but I do like the Maker's 46. One of my favorites for $10.

It’s funny how people’s taste are different. I have watched a few people say that Old Elk was very bad and then others say that it is great. Not helping with my decision on getting a Old Elk. 😂😂 Will get one anyways. Thanks for the video and did a great job. 👍👍
